Many years ago, there was a small Vietnamese restaurant in Lancaster. My friend a and I ate there at least once a week. My favorites were the spring rolls with peanut sauce and mock duck with deep fried potatoes. It closed and I was so upset! I tried and tried to get spring rolls that weren't fried. I all but gave up. I ordered from Pho 3 Mein and when it arrived, I was beyond thrilled! At last!! Everything was like a treat to my taste buds. The Jasmine iced tea is perfection in a glass! Visited tonight for the first time and really enjoyed my meal! The spring rolls were light and fresh with a delicious soy peanut dipping sauce. The house special pho was also very tasty with plenty of options to customize for everyone's taste. Like a previous reviewer said the pho itself didn't have a strong flavor but it is very easy to up the spiciness or sweetness by using the numerous condiments provided. The brisket was especially delicious. Service was very friendly and fast. Having only been open one week, I was impressed. I'm sure that this will only improve with time. The new owners made a lot of improvements to the restaurant itself although there are still some remnants of the failed pizza joints and grill that used to occupy the space. There are many tables for 2, 4, and 6 diners, as well as ample space for larger parties. All in all a very good dining experience! I hope that they are able to find success in a space that has been challenging for other tenants. I plan to come back and bring friends!! read more

Read my original review below. I've been coming here a couple times a week since they opened. Kept getting better and better with more menu items. All prepared perfectly. I was away for 2 1/2 weeks and decided to go today. A friend who's also been coming said they have new owners but no idea why as the former ones were from the area and have other businesses and this was successful. Well, there ARE new owners. But despite how many times the ill-informed very young waiter said "everything is the same, same menu!" it clearly is not. Several regular items are gone and when I asked "oh! Nobody bought that!" Well I and my friends did regularly. Then the Pho. I've been eating Pho for 20+ years all over the country. This is the first and only time Ive been served noodles that were completely chopped up into 1-1/2 inch strands! It sort of defeats the "long noodle means long life issue. And there were clumps of them all stick together like they had never been softened. It also made eating the skipper little noodles a disaster. Plus I get the combo with all the parts. Other than a few slices of beef, there was 1 piece of meatball, I piece of cartilage, one piece of, etc. you get the picture. The broth was very watered down. The previous broth was delicious! This one needed everything on the table in it to have any flavor. Unfortunately a change in ownership can ruin a restaurant. I will not be back. My first review: First time at this new Pho restaurant. I am very impressed! The broth for the house Special pho was absolutely delicious! I also had the Vietnamese Pancake as an appetizer and it was outstanding and cooked perfectly! A small menu but they will try specials and add to the menu as business increases. I stopped in to get bahn mi to go. I liked that they had the meat in the roll but then all of the pickled vegetables and jalapenos and herbs were in a separate baggie so that depending on how far you have to drive the roll wouldn't get soggy. the meat is good and the flavor of the sandwiches good, but I wasn't a big fan of the roll anyway. It's typically sent on a really crispy like french bread but this seems more like a sandwich hoagie roll. It still tasted good but I have had better. I would still go back for another. And it's only $5 so that's a plus. read more

The worst pho I've ever had. Spoiled greasy broth that actually made me nauseous. I called and asked for a refund after my first bite and was told that I could get another broth but no a refund because "I ate the food." Food is okay. Not the best, not the worst. What ticks me off is when we ordered the wings we only got 5 pieces instead of 6 wings, when the menu clearly indicates 6 wings for a order. And this has happened both times we come here. Service is not very good: never came to ask us how are the foods or refilling our water. The food was good. Good pho, nice portion sizes, steaming hot. We had vegetable and beef pho and it was very good. I ordered ahead and it took a little while for it to be ready, but the place was packed just a few days after a news story about the restaurant opening so it is understandable. We absolutely love Vietnamese food and have wanted to try this place for a while. We were not disappointed. Spring rolls, bun mi, beef & lemongrass vermicelli, and pho were all very flavorful and the servings were large. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Decided to stop by since we love Vietnamese and haven't tried this place yet. The restaurant was quiet, decorated well, and very clean. The staff was very friendly and our food was delivered quickly. We had our three year old with us and they were extremely kid friendly. The food was really very good! I had a vermicelli bowl and my husband had stir friend veggies and tofu over rice. Today I submitted an order for the first time today, I have to say that I am impressed. The workers were extremely fast, they called to verify the order. Their PHO soup is overall amazing. Thank you so much for the great food service. The delivery states 30 - 45 minutes and I've gotten my order under 45 minutes. The food was well packed and still hot! I would be ordering from here again, it tastes amazing and it's overall well priced! This is better then your local Chinese food restaurant. The Pho was ok, I ordered the special without Tendon, I didn't see anything about tripe listed but there was a lot of it added in, the noodles were too soft and overcooked. I felt the slices of beef were also overcooked. The broth had decent flavor a bit fatty but not terrible. I will likely come visit this place again to see if there is any improvement and I will be trying it without tripe as well. As an avid eater of pho this place stands out particularly for the Vietnamese beef stew.... it has a rich flavorful broth with large pieces of tender braised beef and perfectly cooked stewed carrots. This restaurant is a gem. The young owner is extremely enthusiastic and takes pride in the food and it's truly shows. The menu was recently redone and there are many more options s than the original menu. I was in the area for a volleyball tournament and needed to grab dinner. This place was awesome. I am a big pho fan and have a place near home that I got all the time. This was just as good if not better. We got some steamed dumplings which were delicious. We got some pho and Thai curry to split and they were great. Perfectly cooked veggies in the curry and soft fresh rice. Chicken was perfect and the pho broth was incredible. The place seemed a little sketchy when walking in but ended up being a great dinner.
