The only downsides about this place in my opinion is that there were no electrical outlets that I could see and the restrooms are small. They also gave me the wrong dessert, but it was still good either way (ordered the black eyed bean pudding with sweet rice, but received the corn pudding with coconut milk instead). The payment process was also a bit confusing for me, because instead of bringing the check to my table, I had to go to the counter to pay and there was also a big line of people who were just coming in to be seated and to take carry out orders. This establishment came highly recommended. We were forewarned that it's known for its dine in experience and would be better suited as a 'to go." Just the same we had time so we ate in. Upon entering Pho 75 one senses immediately that you're to order eat and leave. There's no ambiance. No windows, no art work, music from a blue tooth speaker and a sign letting us know they're responsible for items left behind. Ok cool, no problem. We came for great pho anyway. We were seated in the main dining area. It's very family style so you will share a table with other patrons. After about 10 minutes or so our waiter took our orders. We could not ask too many questions because English was not his first language. Ok cool, no problem. We ordered our pho - chicken and vegetables. I will say that it was tasty but we did not fall in love In my humble opinion there are just too many great pho spots to consider this one as top ranking. It definitely seemed weird for it not to be packed to the brim without a line out the door but it was also really reassuring that theyre taking the gradual opening for covid precautions seriously. First, if you are driving...expect parking to be limited. (As experienced in a Wednesday evening). They have a small lot and you are competing with 4 other restaurants. Also half the lot is now outdoor seating for the restaurants. There is a sign for garage parking but not sure where that is. Now the restaurant...CASH only! However, there is an ATM available inside the restaurant. The broth was good but a little on the bland side. Nothing complex to the taste. Additionally, this is a PHO only restaurant. Here's why you should go: 1) Food: They have all types of pho with all types of meat. If you love standard meat, order #8. A large pho bowl is $9. There are many other pho places in the DMV that charge $10-18 for the same thing. Only knocked down a star because I've been overcharged by an employee before and sometimes their prices don't add up by a few bucks (not sure why). They don't provide a receipt so its hard to tell where they are adding an extra charge somewhere. For both dine in and take out, this has happened several times now. Note: they also have a charge for carry out. Just something to note. I got a small dessert for $2.50 and two pho soups but still got charged 3 separate carry out fees for one pickup order (it was $1 per carry out). Once I was seated and given a menu I was approached very quickly by a server and I quickly ordered a Regular Size #1 Pho without a drink. If you are even moderately hungry, I would recommend paying the extra dollar for the large. In only 5-10 minutes the pho was at my table, served with sprouts and basil. The Pho is very flavorful and delicious - while I wish I had a bit more meat in my regular size bowl the flavor is extremely rich. I always want to slurp the soup at the end to make sure I get every bite. Once I was done with my meal, I went to the desk to pay my $11.50 in cash. From seating to paying, I maybe spent more time writing this review than I did in the restaurant (I was out the door a bit before 11 AM). By the time I left, there was already a line waiting for a table that was 5-10 parties deep. When we finished, we spent additional time talking and at no time did we feel rushed to leave. Food: I ordered #1 and my dining partner ordered the special without knowing what it was. The #1 had a hearty broth and the meats were tender and flavorful. The noodles were not too soft. I was able to finish the regular size on my own and have room for dessert next door afterwards. The special ended up being a chicken broth pho. They enjoyed it and finished it before I did mine. There was hoisin sauce and sriracha on the side for additional seasoning. Ambience: Decent-sized space with tightly packed tables. It could go loud with all of the patrons, but it was otherwise a casual setting. Value: Together, our orders were $24. While things move quickly and the restaurant is relatively clean, it's cash only and service is awful. It has a limited menu of beef and chicken pho and beverages only. They don't listen to you - you don't want cilantro and repeat this multiple times to them? Too bad, you get extra cilantro. You want #12? Surprise, you're getting #15. They give some tables onions, but never brought them to us in the two times we went and asked. It's impossible to get their attention for water. Ultimately I found the broth bland and had to doctor it up with extra sriracha and hoisin sauce. Personally I prefer the menu at the other pho place across the street. read more

If you plan on buying carryout or delivery, you might want to read this to see what you'll get. My wife and I walked in to order carryout. It was 4:30 PM, on a Sunday. There was no line. We waited at the cash register for someone to take our order. An employee directed us to a table. We told him we wanted carryout. He walked away, and we waited for someone else to help us. All of the employees were doing something for the dine-in customers, including the 2 employees behind the carryout counter. So, walk-in carryout gets low priority, FYI. Next time, I'll call my order. On this visit, we ordered our usual pho, #4 Tái, Chín, Nạm, Gân, Sách. It had eye-round steak, well-done brisket, well-done flank steak, soft tendon, beef tripe, cilantro, rice noodles, and chopped scallions. It came with bean sprouts, slices of jalapeños, lime, and basil leaves. The vegetables, noodles, and meat were fresh. The meat was thinly sliced and tender. The amount of meat was good even for a small bowl. A large bowl just gets you more noodles. The broth had a rich beefy flavor with a complex balanced blend of herbs, spices, and seasonings. Without a doubt, this is one of the best beef pho you can get.    The pho came packaged in 4 parts. The broth was in a plastic quart size container. It had some cooked sliced beef in it. There was a pint size cardboard box with noodles, cooked meat, cilantro, and scallions. The basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños, and lime were in a plastic bag. Chopsticks, plastic spoons, hoisin sauce, and sriracha sauce were in a plastic bag.    To prepare the pho, remove the meat from the broth. Then boil the broth in a pot. Add the noodles to the boiling broth and stir. Continue boiling and stirring until the noodles are separated. Turn off the heat and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix and add sauces.    We waited at least 5 minutes for someone to take our order. They only take cash, and they don't give you a receipt. So, if you leave, you have to hope they remember you when you return for your food. They add $1 extra to the menu price for each carryout pho. Plus, there's a 10% Virginia sales tax. It took 15 minutes to get our food. We had to stand the entire time because there was no place for carryout customers to sit. When people came in, they saw us standing near the cash register. They then stood behind us because they thought we were waiting to dine in. We had to tell them to go ahead because we were waiting for carryout. This occurred numerous times while we waited. They need a waiting area or order pick-up tags so people can come back later when the order is ready. Hopefully, this review has been useful. In spite of the carryout problems, we enjoy the food enough to come back. Calling in your order will avoid the problems. read more

DIRTY BOLT FOUND IN PHỞ My mom and I have been regular customers for years at this location. It's highly disappointing in not only the phở, but also the unprofessional behaviour in handling this serious matter. It's quite shocking to even experience this in general as my mom takes the last bites of her phở and spats out a whole BOLT onto the plate in front of her. It's even more crude for them to not approach my mom to apologise after I walked up to the counter and brought it to their attention initially. They just gave back the money (only for 1 phở, we ordered 2) as if that will solve the problem completely. The LACK of humanity AND empathy to come up to my mom and ask if she's okay/apologise is astonishing. We also perfectly understand Vietnamese, so there's no excuse for a language barrier. When my mom came up to the counter to express how much her teeth hurt and how disappointing it was to be treated like this, the cashier stated that he gave back the money already AND gave some GARBAGE excuse about how the bolt fell into the phở. He finally said "Sorry" after my mom continued to express disappointment as a loyal customer. We shouldn't have had to come up to their counter the second time to get an apology. In the midst of bringing this to their attention (and I was making sure my mom was okay), we were unfortunately unable to take a picture in time. There are cameras placed around the restaurant, and we are highly sure this situation has been recorded. We are NEVER EVER coming back to Phở 75 ever again. This experience was highly DISGUSTING for the unsafe food consumption (imagine if she swallowed the bolt accidentally) and the lack of accountability/humanity.
