Only down side is they only take cash (and I don't feel as comfortable with communal seating at long tables during the pandemic). But, I'll definitely return for carryout and dining in in the future. The best Pho place in town! They offer great rates and are incredibly efficient! The wait times are typically not too bad either.

After leaving DC and coming back after 3 years, the food is STILL delicious. Broth is packed with flavor, always fresh toppings (basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños), and customer service is never changing (not the friendliest but they are fast paced and I honestly don't mind). It's clear that their recipe for the broth is well maintained and simmered in rich ingredients. You know with that thin layer of oil on top that mixed with the rice noodles so the noodles can soak in the flavor. The beef is really fresh too, you can tell because it's still pink on top when they confidently serve it to you. Also, coffee, I don't always order but it's one of my dads favorite treats, it's sweet but not too overpowering. read more

This has become one of my favorite reasons for going back to the Georgetown area. The broth is rich and flavorful. It is a little confusing when you take out because they charge extra for takeout and it just seems like they add a dollar here and a dollar there. It is also cash only. I love how the restaurant strictly focus on their craft to make the most delicious bowl of soup. It is ok to cut out the spring rolls, BBQ pork banh mi sandwiches, egg-rolls, Chinese American fusion dishes, etc. You get my point, to sum it up; the non-sense at a typical Pho shop. We arrive around 8:00 p.m. on a Saturday night and it was packed. We didn't have to wait in line and was given a table for 2 immediately. The menu was overwhelming with different types of pho but soon figured out what we wanted. The pho came out so quick that I almost thought that it was for the wrong table. That was amazing! I'd give this place a 3.5/5. We came here on a recommendation from a local DMV native and did take out since that's all they're doing right now. Tip: bring cash. I ordered a large #12 with beef brisket and eye of round steak. The preparation was lightning quick. I think we waited maybe no more than 5 minutes after placing our order. Normally I like to test the broth without anything. The broth had a buttery essence which was quite different and why I'd give it just the average rating. My friend said it smelled like buttery grits. It wasn't oily (which obviously was a good thing). The portions are large and quite a bit meat. I love the amount of green onions they add! However, as I write this at 8pm, I can see the line extending outside so it is definitely a popular place. Service isn't great if that matters to you. In terms of the amount of noodles given, its a bit limited. You can ask for extra noodles for a small fee. In terms of meat content, its really good especially in the VA area. Their broth, which is the glue that brings everything together, fell short for me. It just felt bland. In terms of customer service, it is pretty slow. Took a while to get our waiter to take our order. Then, it took a lot of time to get our order. However, it must been busy because this place has tons of tables. I can't even express my experience here as it was just so stressful. 1. They ONLY take Cash: Other than the small text at the top of the menu I saw no other signs that says they accept cash only, and if there were they weren't obvious enough. I think one thing they should do is notify customers before seating that they only accept cash. Very sketchy that they purchase an ATM for the restaurant so you could grab cash if you don't have it. Something doesn't add up. 2. Experience: The moment I sat down my waiter immediately wanted to take my order but I hadn't had time to look at the menu so I ask for a cup of water for the meantime. He comes back not even 2 mins later asking what I want and I'm still trying to think of what I want but he gets aggravated since I still haven't decided. Very poor customer service. Throughout my entire stay he never came back to my table as I wanted to ask for more Lime. 3. Unprofessional: Alright I'm not even sure why this man felt obligated to come up to me but their busser (the one who cleans off tables when customers leave) was cleaning the table behind me. Because of the pure lack of customer service I ended up asking him for more like. He asked me how many I wanted and I said 6 and he then came back with 4. That's not the kicker.. the kicker is when he places the dish of likes on my table and leans in toward my ear and whispers something to me in spanish. He either said he was going to give me his number or he thought i was attractive. Mind you this man is probably 50 and i'm in my 20s. I gave no indication that I was interested in anything other than Lime. Again from the lack of customer service i still needed more lime and I tried to wave down so many waiters but no one even looked toward my table since i was all the way in the corner. The only person looking at me was the busser. So i wave him down and ask for more lemon. He then comes back with a post-it note with his name and number. I WISH THIS WAS A FAKE STORY. But he would not stop staring and would not stop coming by my table. My "treat yo'self" dinner turned into a stress eating meal. 4. The food: Here's one that most of you probably care about. I just moved here from California a little over a month ago and i've been on the hunt for a good Pho restaurant. I drove 30 minutes to this location to see what the rage was about. Its been hard to find something comparable to the Pho restaurants I've had in LA but I was still willing to do the distance. The broth could have more flavor and the meatballs (which is my go-to) was decent. My soup was room temperature which makes me feel as if the broth had just been sitting in a pot and is made in batches rather than fresh. The rest of the meat was alright, lots of fat on the brisket if that's what you enjoy. I'd give the food itself a 7/10. 5. Sh*t talking in Vietnamese. Because of how uncomfortable I was my entire 30 minutes of eating here, I decided to stay on the phone with my friend. She speaks vietnamese and asked me to stop talking as she heard 2 men talking about me in the background! The menu is very very pho. Not a lot of options other than the namesake of the restaurant. If you're a sane person, and you came for the pho though, there's many variations to choose from! But first, the drinks. There are a sodas and teas and coffees. This time I got the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. Now I am NOT privy to the set up, and I thought they had forgotten the milk, but I was just educated and learned that the milk was at the bottom of the cup and you just stir it up for a fun reveal! It was absolutely delicious coffee! It was basically a very fresh pour over with nicely sweet milk. Yum! The pho I got was incredible. I could drink gallons of that broth. It's just so perfectly made. I love eye of round and the flank, so I usually deal that out. I think it's Number 12 on the menu. I also like to dip the meat in sriracha and hoisin sauce separate from the main bowl. That lets you add some flavor to the beef but not muddle the broth. It can be nice to spice up or sweeten the broth a little bit, but TASTE IT FIRST. It's very good as is, so don't miss out on that pure flavor! Overall, the place is just awesome. It has a ton of seating, but the line can get LONG so allow some time. Once you're seated the staff is very friendly and QUICK. You will get your food so so fast. Like break neck speed. I wasn't expecting to find such great pho in VA--us Californians don't know any good food places outside of big cities like Cali and NY, but that just made this pleasant surprise SO MUCH more pleasant! I tend to crave Asian food when I travel, and it was a freezing day so what better than to get pho. This place was packed the 2 nights I walked by, so I knew I had to give it a try. You walk right in and SMELL the fragrance of the pho, wait in a line that goes by rather quickly, and get seated before you know it. Is it just me or has this place gone seriously kind of down hill? Maybe it's because I've been going to other pho places near my workplace recently and had the chance to come to Pho 75 today, but in comparison to those other two pho places I've been to this one falls short! It's not just the fact they're usually pretty busy and so service is curt and somewhat apathetic, but even the food isn't to the standard that Pho 75 should be and I'm disappointed. I ordered a #1 Regular/Small pho, and my broth was way too salty (it didn't have the depth of the broth flavor I wanted either, a bit of msg for sure). Also I asked for #1 which comes with the delectable fat brisket but there was literally NO fat brisket in my bowl. Even more disappointing. Not sure if it's because they have become complacent but I hope they step it up with their pho because this is a convenient lunch spot albeit when it comes to pho, I would look elsewhere.
