This location used to have the rich flavorful broth that most Pho 75 restaurants in the DMV area were known for but after paying a visit here again on a work related trip I am disappointed. Not only was the pho lacking in flavor it was also lacking in the amount of protein and pretty much the rest of what makes an "authentic" bowl of Vietnamese pho noodles should at the least be included. On top of that, the staff wasn't very welcoming and they were pretty rude. I was hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable early dinner experience here but I was met with rudeness and unprofessionalism. When it came time to pay for the food the older man with glasses didn't even give me the decency of explaining the price and he just kept aggressively pointing at the cash register. The slices of meat had a freezer burn taste and the soup was not nearly hot enough to cook the meat all the way through, which may have led to the freezer burn taste. I'll be more aware and most likely will go to another location. Regardless, the pho is flavorful, hearty, and comes out pipping hot. The pho here is pretty amazing to be quite honest, and I am from the 626 CA area where there are a lot of amazing pho places. I was pleasantly surprised about the meat to noodle ratio, and the meat was tender and was not tough at all. The tripe was also delightful in terms of texture and the broth was seasoned well. Also, the food came out in a timely manner and service was quick. However, don't bother getting the soy milk; I was under the impression that it was made in the store, but it just came from a can. I recently tried Pho75 to-go while sick. I tried the chicken pho and the portion size was quite large for me. The chicken comes with broth, sprouts, jalapeños, hoisin and siracha sauce and Thai basil. The noodles and chicken come separate from the toppings and so does the soup which made traveling quite easy. However, my broth did spill quite a bit in the bag but luckily not all over my car. The chicken itself was quite dry and all white meat. Even with the broth it made it very hard to enjoy because it was just sucked dry. The noodles were a bit overcooked and became gummy by the time I was halfway done with my meal. The flavor of the broth itself is not overpowering and did not have as much depth of flavor as I was expecting. They do offer hoisin and siracha sauce on the side which helped some, but not significantly. Overall this is pho in a pinch, but I wouldn't go out of my way to get it. The chicken definitely needs some TLC and shouldn't be so dry it's inedible...so hopefully they'll take that constructive feedback for others. read more

Now if you've never been to Pho 75 (especially back in the day when they predated so many of the restaurants now all over the NOVA area) ... you'll likely feel like you're getting the shaft when it comes to appetizers ... and probably going to feel a bit hungry unless you double down on the noodles or protein. However, thinking within the framework of their menu, their pho is still top notch. I've been to so many pho joints here over the decades that I've seen many places lose their mojo/quality over time. Pho 75 is still one of the most consistent places I've ever been to. I just treat it as a place where I go for a quick lunch and don't expect to pack my stomach. This is what you get - great pho in a cafeteria setting with brusque service and a clear demand for cash only payments. But it's worth it. Pho 75 is literally just about Pho and nothing else. No appetizers. No other entrees. Just Pho. Given this I was expecting to be blown away, yet I sadly wasn't, and while the pho was good, I've had better. My meal: went w the Pho Tai Gau and it was filled with tons of tender meat and noodles, yet the broth while tasty, was a little under salted for my liking, however once I jazzed it up a bit with sriracha and a bit of salt it was perfect. The portion size for the price was great though. All in all if I'm in this shopping plaza again and in the mood for pho I'd have it again, but I wouldn't go out of my way just to visit the establishment when I'm craving pho. read more

From the moment our family walked in I was immediately frustrated by how unwelcoming and disorganized this restaurant was. There was only one person working and he didn't greet us, just pointed randomly at a table like we were supposed to know where to sit. He didn't give us menus and immediately asked if we were ready to order with attitude. When we said "How can we order, we haven't gotten the menus yet?" he pointed at the shelf, smacked the menus, and walked away leaving me to grab one myself while taking care of our toddler. He never asked if we needed a high chair, we had to ask and my husband had to get it. When my husband told him we were ready to order, he noticed I was sitting near the end of the table and yelled that I wasn't supposed to sit there even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Don't you dare tell me to move when I'm just trying to feed my baby. Any parent with a toddler would understand how stressful it is to manage seating, food, and a baby all at once. After all the attitude, poor service and complete lack of understanding for parents we canceled our order and left. This was hands-down one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. Do not support this business. Not only is the service terrible but he has zero consideration for families or basic courtesy. Avoid this place. read more

While I was in the area I got several orders of chicken pho to bring home for the family for dinner....service was great! The lady working up front was helpful and spoke great English, so ordering wasn't an issue. She assured me that the pho I ordered would make my long trip (about an hour and a half) home. They packed my broths in those excellent, restaurant plastic quart containers with the secure lids and then put that in a box to ensure they wouldn't pop open. Also, they packed the chicken and noodles and onions in a Chinese style take out box and the accoutrements was packed in a separated baggy - so the hot stayed separate from the cold - VERY NICE!!! Once I got home and it was dinner time, we heated up the broth and poured it over the cold chicken - it heated up perfectly and everything tasted GREAT! Really good broth!! You are immediately greeted by a hand written sign that states "Cash Only" and then could basically walk right into the off-brand ATM that of course charges a fee. Nonetheless, the aroma of the Pho broth once you open the door is amazing! I reluctantly pulled out cash from the ATM and sat down with my family of 5. The menu is small and straight to the point - pho and beverages only. The other Vietnamese fair. Which is totally fine, in my opinion. We ordered three of their pho bowls. All were "regular" size and were excellent sized portions. You can upsize to a large for a $1 more but I don't find this necessary at all. My kids loved the chicken pho, or, chicken noodle soup. They enjoyed the taste and slurped up the whole bowl. I also ordered a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk. A must whenever you find this available on a menu. Service was quick, just like a pho restaurant should be. Overall, really great place and we will be returning. I suppose another review 20 years after my first one isn't overdoing things. I was a regular at the Graham Road (Falls Church) site until the Herndon restaurant opened, and I've been a regular there since 2004. In fact, the staff knows me and my order (#12 large, raw meat, green onions in oil) so all I have to do is walk in, go to a table and sit down. Moments later, my meal is place in front of me. The consistency of the soup is remarkable. A recent shortage of peppers caused them to find an alternative to the Huy Fong Sriracha, and amazingly enough, they did! Over the years they've added small features (a bell that rings when the door is opened, an ATM machine - this is a cash-only place!), and yet they've held price remarkably well. Sure, they've had to raise their prices over 20 years, but when compared to other restaurants, this is still probably one of the cheapest, tastiest meals around! Pho 75 doesn't waste time on flowers, place settings and ambiance. Nor should they. This is a pho soup-only communal eatery. If it weren't for the many Washingtonian Best Of awards hanging on the walls (you have to go to multiple locations to see them all), you might pass by, thinking that it looks like a hole-in-the-wall. The atmosphere today is somewhat pleasant. Came in on a cold spring day for some Pho and it was not hot enough. We had three types for the 3 of us, the B1 which is round of eye steak, the steak and brisket B3 and the B5 which is fatty brisket and steak. Alright, first up, Pho 75 is a branch but each place does it a little different. This place I'd say is more similar to the one in Arlington than to the one off Graham road. I get the number one with an iced coffee. The broth is a little on the light side but pretty good. The amount of food you get is pretty comparable, but the prices are a bit on the higher side compared to what I remember them to being. If you're getting take out, ALWAYS ASK FOR THE NOODLES UNCOOKED. When I got them cooked.
