Very So So average Pho, main thing is that i can't stand when servers drop food off and then you never see them again, and like pulling teeth to get something they forget. #1 rule when serving, always check back with 60 seconds, then every 5 or so at least. terrible chile paste/sauce too, no authentic bone fat. In an effort to get back to one of the original pho places in town we have been frequenting Pho 777 lately. This was our third visit in 3 months. The staff is very nice, efficient and pleasant. The food is always tasty and they do a good job of getting it to you even when busier. It is good when you come with a group because there are a few non Vietnamese (Thai and Chinese) dishes on the menu in case someone wants that. read more

My last review was over 2 years ago.. Pho 777 and any Asian food is my jam. Since my last visit I noticed different owners had taken over, so I was in doubt that the food had changed. But nope, it was great and so was the service.. I always begin with a chicken salad with cabbage, bean sprouts.. Goi Ga. It comes with a rice vinegar dressing that I love.. I ordered a soup of course that was Vegetarian with tofu , Pho Rau Tofu. It comes with rice to add . The broth was unique and delicious. For a beverage I ordered a Iced Vietnamese coffee, which is on the stronger side . The coffee is still steeping along with sweetened condensed milk served over ice and mixed together is delicious.. I noticed that the restaurant had been remodeled a bit and that they removed a counter and enclosed the service/ cashier station which I thought was an improvement. Start off after checking others review about this place. search for a pho spot near where we stay at and came across this as we pass by and also outlook from the suite we stay at and let me say this was delicious flavor was there and the pho was on point at my date end. We enjoy it a lot. Waitress was kindly insist us with water and did not rush us to order as it's our first time here there so many option and dishes I want to try but we went here almost closing time so we got something quick to eat. Parking is also available but in the parking garage or you pay at the meter by hour. Outside not you expect as of inside there are plenty of seating and nice decor. I would visit again. My friends and I came in a group of 7 and when we got inside they were about half packed. We were sat down and given water, the waiters were super nice. After a good 5-7 minutes we were able to order, I just got the usual combination pho. The first thing I usually do is taste the broth and it didn't disappoint. I thought the flavor wasn't bad for Reno but my friends think other wise. After I put in the condiments everything was still yummy but for some reason something felt like was missing and I couldn't figure it out on the flavor palette. The portion was pretty generous considering I got a small size and it only cost about $12 for a small. Compared to other places that have pho for over $16. The meat was nice and chewy, I enjoyed most of it. If you're a spice person the table condiments doesn't have the chili paste so you have to ask for it. Was hoping for the pickle jalapeños but they only had the original ones. We also got a Thai tea that came with boba. They added brown sugar syrup on the side of the cup which made the Thai tea slightly sweeter but it wasn't bad. Pretty decent boba compared to other pho places I've been to. Giving this place a solid 4.2/5 - would def come back again. Food is good and service is great! read more

I see there's a lot of mixed messages and reviews about this Pho 777. Since I'm a very simple person...gotta give this place the benefit of the doubt. In fact, I actually stopped on by here 2 consecutive days during my time in Reno. Guess that sums it up for me...I liked the food. Pho 777 is located right in the heart of downtown Reno. I parked along the street, paid the meter and walked right in. They said sit wherever you'd like. Nice and easy. I was handed a menu and kindly asked for hot tea. Btw, during this Pandemic year of 2020...I was relieved they served dine-in because there's only so many times I can sit and eat in my car. My car has transitioned into a human cafeteria, lol! Seriously, it just felt nice to be human again and sit down at a table. I wore my mask the entire time while waiting for my meal and the waiter had a mask covering his face as well. Glancing over the menu...they featured choices from 1 - 38 with ingredients describing the dishes below the numbers. Included among the options were...appetizers, Pho Beef Noodle Soups, Rice Noodle Dishes, Stir-Fried Rice and a couple of Chinese Cuisine preparations. Prices for virtually everything on the menu were $9.95. So whether you get a drink or choose water...with tax and tip it comes to around $15. For both consecutive days I was here during lunchtime it wasn't busy...but crowded enough with people to feel like this place would be a good spot for some homely, authentic Vietnamese cooking. Ya know...Reno isn't exactly known for it's upscale living...sort of one of these very rundown, stale old gambling towns. On Day 1 - I ordered the #10 option - a beef noodle soup with vegetables, chicken and rice noodles. After placing it with the waiter...my soup arrived within 5 minutes. Overall, the soup was good. It didn't blow me away with flavor but was comforting enough as I was craving a bowl of Pho. And that's all I could ask for. Day 2 - I returned again around lunchtime but this time I decided to try one of the Chinese Cuisines - Option #35 - Generals Chicken With Steamed Rice. Again...service was fast, no problem...and there were just enough customers sitting down to have one waiter serving the entire dining room. The General Tso's Chicken was decent. It certainly wasn't the tastiest Chinese dish I've ever had...but in the moment I enjoyed it. The dish was hot and fresh from right out of the wok. The breading around the chicken was crispy adding for a nice texture. The only thing or disappointment I had with the dish was that there were no vegetables. It was just the Generals Chicken and white rice. Usually with a meal like this...it gets garnished with a layer of broccoli around it. Oh well. I'm not too fussy about details like these. In the end...both instances visiting Pho 777 I was yearning for some humbling Vietnamese/Chinese Food and this place performed it's job. I was content each time as the Beef Noodle Soup and Generals Chicken were satisfactory midday meals. To best describe Pho 777...it's a no frills, casual Vietnamese restaurant good for anyone hanging out in downtown Reno. I would caution to others considering eating here...don't expect much in terms of quality and glitz. The food isn't the greatest, but it's certainly adequate enough to be a sufficient stop for good old fashioned Pho and Noodles. read more

Just two blocks from our casino stay, we did a quick walk to check out the pho soup , namesake of this restaurant I was taught by a very good Vietnamese cook to make pho at home and also spoiled in SF with many pho restaurants. Sorry to say the broth is weak here. Not only is the broth light in color for supposedly a beef broth, but the taste is also not "meaty " or beef flavor. I was looking for clean, clear broth with meaty taste mixed with toasted spices such as cardamom , cinnamon, anise etc... I don't know what it is, really. The Tai beef is also very light in color when it came out raw, and still light color when cooked in the soup. My husband left the meat and broth in his bowl and just ate the noodles. We got the fried rolls as appetizers. The plate cane with 5 rolls, pickled veggies and a two pieces of lettuce fit 5 rolls. There wasn't any vermicelli noodles, any of the herbs, jalapeños etc... very bare. read more

This place is located right close to Reno sign. They are open for dine in during the corona virus, but all staff wear masks and gloves. When you come in to the restaurant you can see the table with hand sanitizer, which is comfortable to clean your hands before you go to your table. Only one thing they missed was the distances between table my friends and I were sitting and the tables next to us were too little(less than 6 feet). Menu doesn't have pictures, so if you're first time at Pho place-it's going to be hard for you to choose what to order. We went there in the morning. I have had large number 9 Pho, which was really big portion. I added some spicy souses to my Pho so it woke me up :). I think you will like it, specially after fun night at Reno when you want something warm and what can help your body start the day. read more

"Triple 7s" is definitely one of my favorite Pho spots. The veggie pho #11 never fails to be amazing! They have small and large. It's on second street and it's a super shady location with homeless people walking in front of the restaurant all of the time and when you come out they ask for money. So location sucks BUT the pho is always super tasty and super reasonably priced and you can get small or large which you can't find really at any pho restaurants. We always get the same server- he's been there for easily 10 years. He is super attentive and if you go there enough, he remembers what you get if you're like me and get the same thing every time. read more

Don't let the exterior or the neighborhood fool you - this place is a find! It can be busy, so be reassured if you have to wait a bit - it is worth it! It isn't fancy but the food is delicious and the prices are great for the amount of food you get. We ordered way too much, and everything was really good! We were at the Tesla chargers in El Dorado, so decided to look up nearby Vietnamese restaurants. This was the closest one and I've always heard mixed reviews about this place so I wanted to give it a try! Servers are friendly, but the food was not good :( We got brown sugar boba and the boba was hard. Spring rolls did not taste fresh. The Bun Bo Hue broth was definitely lacking flavor, while the noodles had the texture as if just thrown in the soup from the freezer. They also offer eyebrow microblading and scalp pigmentation (?!) so maybe that's what they're actually good at???!!!! I do not recommend. read more

I came here with my family and this restaurant over charged us. Then they tried to justify the receipt that it was correct and it wasn't. At the end of refunding our money it was still more things that were added. They didn't let us take the receipt back to check the Spanish young guy kept trying to say we were wrong l. My family and I have been coming here for over 10 years now and 577 has completely went down hill and isn't what it used to be! Unfortunately, they've gotten a really bad roach infestation in these recent times. My last visit was this year a few months ago we were sat right next to the wall and two roaches came crawling out from behind the picture.... a few seconds later my mom screamed because there was a roach on her arm. We didn't realize our favorite pho place is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday so had to look for another place. Found this place on Yelp. I was looking forward to Vietnamese food/ Let me just say wow this is not your traditional Vietnamese pho restaurant. That's not a good wow either and I feel horrible about writing this review but I'm so disappointed. The flavors of the soup is definitely different and not in a good way either. The bbh has over cooked pork blood, broth tastes weird nothing like your bbh should taste like. The pho had broccoli and carrots lol that's not a traditional way to make pho. To top it off the pho tastes sweet with a cinnamon flavor like what in the world is this. If you love Vietnamese food, definitely don't come Here because you'll be disappointed. For the ones that aren't as familiar with Vietnamese food , this ain't it lol. The spot to go get some good Vietnamese food, I would recommend is called "pho 999". Slow service, even though the place was only 25% full. I'll take slow service if the food is exceptional, or even great. It wasn't. Had the vermicelli bowl with pork and shrimp. Lots of lettuce and noodles, few other veggies, fair amount of grilled pork, 3 shrimp, and an egg roll. Sadly everything had little to no flavor, really, very little flavor at all. In person or take out, this place does not fool around with rare beef pho. Space for inside dining that is clean! For take out, you get all the soups tightly wrapped with no spills in the car. The basil, and other veggies are also in a tightly sealed bag, ready for travel. The meat is still really cold and separated from everything else in plastic wrap. The flavor puts everything over the top. Lots of beef! Good portion of noodles, and lots of hoi sin and sriracha packets. Lots of hot peppers if you care to partake in that. You can choose not too.
