No no flavor very dry. Nobody really speaks English. Just really not clean. I'm surprised the health department is not here.

No one wears gloves the food literally dry and old that's not even hot. I'll stop eating it because I don't wanna get food poisoning or get sick. The only thing that's good here is customer service and the iced tea doesn't even taste like it taste like just regular water and then you have people that don't understand you so you have to get somebody else. The price that we're paying for food. It's not really good. Nobody wears gloves unsanitized just nasty. I don't even know how they got business health department needs to come out here for somebody get sick.

This place took over Asuka. For a Chinese buffet, it actually wasn't that bad. Definitely some pros and cons. The Mongolian BBQ: I would definitely just come back for this. Fresh ingredients, cooked made to order, and tasted way better than other Mongolian BBQ in buffets that I have been too. It was actually flavorful. Also, the cook is very nice! So I definitely would go for the dishes that come out hot & fresh first. I had the BBQ pork & the mushroom chicken that came out fresh and both were delicious. The green beans and eggplant were also very good. The chicken wings and breaded shrimp I knew were sitting out for a bit because it was a tough bite and the shrimp was just whatever. The sesame balls also tasted like it was out long because it had a hard texture instead of soft and chewy. I also had the imitation crab and it was super oily. The seafood soup was bland and the hot and sour soup was pretty spicy and I wasn't expecting the heat. The sushi I wasn't a big fan of it. Of course, can never forget the garlic bread! Dessert wise, the orange and pink cakes were good. The cake was actually soft. Prices: Adult: $17.99 ( Lunch ) / $21.99 (Dinner) Kid (7yrs) : $8.99 (Lunch) / $11.99 (Dinner) Kid (5 yrs) : $6.99 (lunch) / not sure for dinner Drink: $2.50 each.

We went to Greater China Buffet yesterday for lunch. When we arrived at the restaurant, there were plenty of diners but they weren't too crowded; so they were able to seat our 6-person party immediately. The servers are always so nice and polite and the proprietors always warmly greet us whenever we dined there. The Sunday we visited, the buffet offer med a huge variety of seafood: oysters, mussels, baby octopus, shrimp and salmon; as well as typical Chinese dishes like fried rice, chow mien, general Tso's chicken, beef and broccoli, potstickers and shumai plus a variety of soups, salad, sushi, Mongolian BBQ and desserts. Overall, our entire party had an enjoyable dining experience at Greater China Buffet, we ate good food, the service was attentive and the price was still pretty reasonable.

Reno and Sparks don't have many Asian buffet options, and this is easily one of the better choices in the area. We went for weekend dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the selection. They had oysters, mussels, fried fish, and many other selections. The Mongolian BBQ station was also pretty solid. The beef and pork they use is hot pot quality. Overall, for an Asian buffet, I was content with the selections and would definitely recommend giving it a try. The only downside was table service and restroom cleanliness. We had to ask a few times for drink refills, which took away slightly from the experience. Restroom was a little rough too. Still, the food makes it worth visiting.

My family and I came to check out the buffet since I got a two for one deal coupon in the mail. After coming here 3 times, I noticed that there were more options and freshly cooked food during lunch and right before dinner. Once you enter, they seat you and take your drink orders. You can then grab plates for food. There are a variety of like oysters, crab legs, crawfish, clams, chicken wings, vegetables, orange chicken, soups, sushi, desserts, and fruit. When you finish your plates, the staff comes around to clear those plates. The food is good and I like the variety, however, it is always the same items each time you come here. It would be nice if they added new items every so often. For the lunch prices of $17.99 and dinner at $21.99, it is a very good all you can eat deal. The sign at the front says they have hotpot, but I have not tried that. The environment gets loud when there is a lot of people. They play Chinese music in the background which can get very loud. The owner is very nice and runs the register when you are ready to pay. This is a nice cheap meal if you use the coupons and I will continue to come back.

I arranged to meet my crew out here for lunch on Sunday, before we head out to our work location out at that Gigafactory area east on the 80. I heard good thing about this buffet so here we all go. Our party of 4 got seated no prob, lots of seating. Looking around the dining area, I see there's even a stage for karaoke! Think we'll be passing on that this time. It does look like quite an extensive buffet with a grill area as well as a sushi area. Service is normal Asian Buffet, efficient, but not the most friendly. The food is very good and hot. We did get here right after opening at 11am, so the food is gonna be he freshest then. The selection included roast duck even, that's dinner and Sunday's only I think. Spare ribs and all the normal Chinese stuff is here, like general chicken, chow mien and egg roll, but the was more authentic stuff too, that I didn't recognize. I gotta say, all the food was very good and the sushi was better than most buffet sushi I've had. I may even stop here on our way back when we finish our work out in that Gigafactory place. We did stop in again, super happy!

This is a very acceptable Chinese Buffet. I felt the midweek LUNCH price of $19.99 (drinks extra) is a bit pricey, so I removed a star. At slightly less it would be 5 star. However they do provide more seafood and meat dishes than most midweek lunch buffets. Lots of shrimp and bbq ribs plus bbq pork and several fish and other meats. In addition they have a BBQ grill they prepare fresh for you when you fill your plate with raw veggies and meats. So there is plenty here to satisfy most everyone. Check other pics for close up pictures. I took distance pics to give a feel for the size. The service was great

Good selections and good food. I didn't like the chow mein but the orange chicken was so good. The fried shrimp is probably a close second. All seafood I had was tasty. Bathrooms weren't very clean, but I'd come back.

I really wanted to love this. I was on the fence with the 3 star rating, but after weighing out the food quality I had to go with my gut. The service was great. Everyone was really nice and you could see they were trying to tend to the buffet food items by stiring and replenishing when necessary. The food had steam coming from each tray, but unfortunately the food was more warm and sometimes a little cold. They had a variety of seafood options and meat dishes, but were a bit greasy. Some had oil sitting on the bottom of the tray, so when scooping the food you would also scoop a bit of the liquid on the bottom. I also love chow mein and this one was unfortunately not it. It really lacked flavor. They also offered a Mongolian grill, which was nice. There wasn't a lot of direction, but after asking how it worked we were able to try it. The restaurant was really large, clean and had a lot of seating. It also offered hot pot, but we didn't know until after being seated for the buffet. Lunch was $16.99. I am not sure I would return, but hope this was just an off day for the restaurant.

My family and I did not eat inside, we ordered online and took it to home. The staff when we got our food were kind and accommodating. The place was nice and tidy. Unfortunately the food wasn't up to par. My family and I got some different items. The Kung Pao chicken, which should've been spicy was not spicy at all. Even with added chili sauce and sriracha. The beef and veggies meal was lacking beef. Overall the food was lacking seasoning to our tastebuds. We did however appreciate the amount of food and customer service.

First of all, the service was immaculate! The servers were kind enough to give us extra sauce and answer our questions. We ordered the dinner plates and they were packed full of food. However the flavor just wasn't it. The rice was flavorless and my kungpao chicken didn't have any spice to it. However, I did enjoy the customer service.

Hadn't been there in years, so we thought we'd go there since it was kind of on our way home. Place was pretty empty when we got there being that it was kind of an odd time after lunch or having a late lunch. Waitress would come by and pick up plates quickly and asked if we needed anything refilled for drink wise. There was lots of varieties of food. The place was very open with lots of dining area. Was a bit weird having 80s music on one wall on TV videos and on another TV there was some type of movie going like mad Max.

We went on a Thursday night, and the restaurant was probably about 45% full, so it was busy but not overwhelming. When I walked in, I was greeted by a friendly worker. I let her know I was meeting friends, and she allowed me to go find them and take a seat. The restaurant itself was nice, clean, and had a comfortable atmosphere. Our server was also very nice and brought us menus while we waited for the rest of our group to arrive. Once everyone got there, we started with a few appetizers. We ordered the fried dumplings, popcorn chicken, and I got the kimchi soup. The soup was delicious, and the dumplings and popcorn chicken were both really good too. Honestly, I could have ordered multiple rounds of those alone, but we were there for Korean BBQ and did not want to fill up too much on starters. For our first round of meats, we ordered beef belly, bulgogi, spicy chicken, and garlic pork belly. The food came out quickly, and it arrived on a robot, which was pretty cool. All of the meats were great, but the garlic pork belly and bulgogi were definitely the standouts. For our next round, we ordered those two again along with Hawaiian steak and chicken galbi. Once again, everything was tasty. We finished our final round with more beef belly, New York steak, and miso pork belly. By the end of the meal, we were completely stuffed. To my surprise, our server noticed that one of my friends had brought me a birthday gift bag, and the staff came over and sang happy birthday to me. That was a really nice touch and made the night feel even more special. Overall, this was a good experience. The food was fresh and flavorful, the service was friendly, the restaurant was clean, and the birthday surprise was appreciated. I would definitely come back.

I kind of regret doing that because my lips are actually numb from all the salt regardless. And what Asian restaurant messes up rice? It was both too mushy and too hard...ew. I have no problem with fast food versions of different cuisines, but I would have been better off throwing this food out. It's really a shame because I was initially very excited by their menu. It's been about 4 years since the last time, I tried the food here and since I was hosting about 10 people at my home, I wanted to serve something simple and cost effective. My goto for this is Chinese food. I ordered chicken chow mein and stir fried mixed vegetables. It came in two trays and enough from probably closer to 15 people. So portions were good but the total bill was between $120-$130 about what I've come to expect here in Reno. Let's just say, I've traveled to several countries in Asia and lived most of my life in Northern CA eating quite a bit of Chinese food. This doesn't make my an expert but it would be fair to say, I am quite familiar with what is considered mainstream traditional Chinese cooking. But let's get to the food, with the caveat that I realize that everyone's preferences can vary widely when it comes to food. So my opinion is based on what one would find in Hong Kong and San Francisco. The chicken chow mein had all the correct ingredients, long noodles that were slightly thicker than say spaghetti, had the correct amount of softness without being mushy. Chicken was presented in slices and appeared to be white meat, there was some white onions thrown in there for some texture and flavor. Normally when I order chow mein, it isn't served with a brown "gravy". Not that this dish was swimming in it, but think of spaghetti with tomato sauce. Replace the red with medium dark brown and you get the picture. Now my guests who are Reno locals, thought it was great and flavorful. I would agree with the flavor part but it was much too saucy for my tastes. Would I try Chin Chin again for noodles? I'm not sure but the owner did state, they can make dishes any way I like, so perhaps I'll order off menu next time. The stir fried mixed vegetables is where I was most disappointed. Let's start with the ingredients. All were sliced in 2-3 inch pieces, which included button mushrooms, zuchinni, bamboo shoots, brocolli, carrots, and onions. This dish could have passed for a savory vegetable stew. There was a lot of gravy, so much so, that it colored all the vegetables brown, except for the carrots. The sauce had a slight "twang" to it, almost vinegar or worchester-like. Not my thing, I could not taste the individual flavors of the vegetables because of how heavy the sauce was. The brocolli was over cooked where the flowerette parts were pale. I prefer my vegetables to be just cooked, almost snappy. I would not order this dish again. No comments on the restaurant itself as both times I tried it, was for take out. So bottomline, would I try Chin Chin again? Yes but I will be very specific on how I would like my order prepared. Maybe for their lunch special.

Traditional Vietnamese or Chinese cuisine IMO, is difficult to find here compared to the Bay Area. But that's not the fault of Reno, it's just the number of asian restaurants are so much fewer here and all the produce is literally imported. My goto when checking out a chinese restaurant is their chow fun noodles. Why? The noodles are perishable and if frozen the texture becomes a bit mushy, not firm. Was the noodle fresh, yes but with the cavet that it was probably imported day or two earlier. There are no local noodle makers in Reno. The dish was prepared in traditionally with a slight twist. Garlic, lots of minced garlic. Not complaining, as this is unusual for chow fun noodles to get amost a fourth of a garlic bulb worth. I ordered the mixed protein version with chicken, pork, and beef. There was a slight sweetness to the dish, which I am atributing it to sugar. Which again is unusual but a welcome addition like the garlic. My last visit was when some relatives visted from the Bay Area and we had lunch. I didn't want to take a chance on the food that they may not be used to, so we choose SK Noodle. Eveyone had their vietnamese Pho and grilled dishes and so far SK did dissapoint any of the Northern CA food snobs! I will be back.

We made it in for their Sunday brunch and everything was fantastic. We were greeted by the chef and owner who were very friendly and kindly guided us through the menu. After ordering almost everything on the brunch menu, we happily took our seats and sipped our delicious margs! The food continuously made its way to our table where the presentation and flavor made us "ooo" and "awww." Tbh, I was honestly so pleasantly surprised to find such delicious and authentic Thai food in such a cute, trendy setting! Complete with Thai background music and a beautiful mural depicting Thai culture. Everything was delicious but I would have to say my favorite dish was the Thai boat noodles! The broth is similar to pho but meatier and richer. So good!

No big deal, just something to mention. We started with the kimchi fries- great flavor but the fries were hard to grab without using utensils. Wish larger fries had been used....kind of felt like we got the bottom of the batch! Variety of noodle and rice dishes. I needed more heat so I asked for their chili oil to up the heat. I wish the water offered had ice or was cold. Also wish utensils and napkins were more available. Service was fast and friendly - we even got some potstickers extra free of charge since the items we ordered came out all at different times.

FOOD: We ordered the Cheese Tteokbokki and Beef Soon Tofu Stew. Both solid choices. The Cheese Tteokbokki I wish had more cheese though but it did come with fish cake and cabbage as well! The Beef Soon Tofu Stew honestly really hit the spot! Had the perfect ratio of all the ingredients - tofu, beef and vegetables. SERVICE: Our server was super friendly and our food came out fairly fast, which was a plus since we were all super hungry. PARKING: This place is located in a small plaza so the parking was super easy. AMBIANCE: Loved the cozy vibe that I got from this restaurant. Almost seemed like a hole in the wall place. Overall, I would definitely come back to try their other dishes! My family and I enjoyed our time here.
