I think everyone should be warned. Yes, the food, appetizers, and beverages are amazing but it seems like the price always fluctuate. I just went to eat there today with some of my girlfriends, and we wanted the checks to be separated. When we went up to pay for our food, the total came out to be far more than what the total amount should be. We gave them tip, of course, but when we asked them why the total amount was so much, we found out that they PRECHARGE tip already into the total amount by $8-$9, so that "PRECHARGE" tip was calculated into the total along with our extra tip. I always thought tips were optional. Don't get me wrong, I always tip whenever I go eat at any restaurants, but Pho 98's customer's service was horrible. They never came by to check up on us, our cups were empty for forever, and they messed up on our food order. And when we told them "that isn't what we ordered" they gave us an attitude. If you work at a restaurant who accepts tip, please work for that tip. Do not just precharge it into the total amount without the customer knowing, making them having to ask for clarification and then you go off and take their tip that was prepared for you too. Tips are optional, and a lot of the times, it's given to appreciate your work ethic. Do not give horrible customer service and then expect a $10.00 tip. read more

If you're looking for a good place that offers bubble tea (boba), I highly recommend giving Pho 78 a try. Their Traditional Milk Tea is comparable (and in my opinion, better) to the numerous popular boba places in Colorado. Boba (tapioca pearls) itself is flavorful with a great consistency throughout. I love this place! I used to work nearby and would go once a week. Now I make the 30 minute drive every couple of weeks because I miss it if I don't have it. I live in Boulder and have tried all of the pho places in Boulder, and a lot of other places, but none even come close to this one. I have honestly never had better pho. The BEST pho I've ever had!! Wow! So tasty and FRESH!! I don't know what else to say but service is always quick and efficient and the food is to die for! UPDATE: I placed an order for takeout and March 23. I had my children in the car and asked if they were able to run out the food to my vehicle. They did so without a problem. The fried rice dish was unbelievable. It was light and fluffy and so delicious. It didn't sit heavy in my stomach.. We also got an order of eggrolls and those were fantastic and atop a pile of rice noodles with veggies! I've never seen that kind of presentation before for eggrolls! I got my typical pho and again- Continued to be absolutely fresh and tasty. I ordered a medium and will easily be able to eat that for four meals. The portions are heaping, the ingredients are fresh and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend you supporting this business because they are delicious and friendly. I used to be a regular mo-pho at Pho Duy on 120th but ever since pho-ing at Pho 78 the extra drive is totally worth it! The service is amazing and the dessert drinks are the perfect way to end an addicting meal. Being a long time pho enthusiast it is truly hard to find a place with a consistent broth. The appetizers are a must, especially the spring rolls, and the rice plates will have you coming back for more. Well made Pho, The wife hates Pho, actually refers to it as "Pond Water" so I like to drag her in as much as possible :) That said I enjoyed my soup The staff was very nice and easy to understand. BEST BUBBLE TEA (BOBA) in Colorado. I like geting two of them, one there and one for the road. Strawberry and Mocha Boba are the two I get the most. But Pina Colada is also good. No matter what flavor you get they will all going to exceed your expectations. The main difference is that other similar Pho restaurants freeze their tapioca bubbles, but Pho 78 keeps them warm enough until they blend the drink with ice, so the tapioca balls stay soft and come up the straw easily..YUM. Their chicken spring rolls are also sensational. The flavoring of the chicken is rather addciting. Environment is casual with some booths and some tabels. Service is fast and friendly. It was my first time in here and my first time experience here really sucked. They waiters and waitresses did not know how to give out customer service, my rice plate was not good. It taste really bland. My husband thought the broth taste ok, but I won't be coming here again. The Thai tea did not taste like it should either. It taste like it came out of the can, not brewed. This has always been my favorite pho restaurant in the Westy Area! They used to be located on Federal and 72nd and were once called "Pho 79". There are several different "Pho 79" restaurants now but I believe the partners of the original one separated. I have tried all the other new "Pho 79" restaurants and none of them can stand up to the Pho 78 flavor. All of the old family that ran the original are at Pho 78. We can clearly see that Pho 78 owners are the ones that made the original greatness. read more

I love the broth, the extras (lines, bean sprouts, basil, cilantro, and jalepenos) were really fresh and the ingredients were awesome and delicious. I reccomend the flank and brisket (num. 10). Meh is right. I just don't get it. I mean man come on there are better places in town. The Pho was your typical Pho nothing that makes me want to go back. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was not good. The Vietnamese coffee was good but so is the coffee at other Pho hot spots. So there you have it. Rare steak and meatball Pho are my favorite. I'm a big guy and The large is enough for two meals. I've gone to a couple other Pho places north and east from 78, but neither had the meat quality and overall appeal of Pho 78. We've been getting take out twice a week for the last two months. A small Pho costs$6.90. It was shy on meat and the soup tasted like plain old beef broth. There was like dry, moldy chili on the spoon in the crushed chili paste. A pot of tea cost $1.50 which is not too much of a problem for me, but it is one of many 'off' things about this place, so it was annoying. We ordered spring rolls which never came, but stayed on the ticket. When we asked them to take it off, they were hesitant and odd about it, and even scoped our table to make sure we were not lying. With all the great Pho Denver has to offer-and more popping up all the time- I will not be back. read more

One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants in town. The food comes out hot and fresh. Their pork Bahn mi and Com Thit Nuong are absolutely delicious, and don't forget to get a frozen boba so you can get that perfect sweet and salty combination with your food, you will for sure leave satisfied! Everyone who works their are hospitable and treat their customers like family. Overall, really good service and food!
