I've been eating here for years cos it's nearby. Used to be excellent when was restaurant Saito. It's been ok since ownership changed many years ago as they now are Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. Both countries are known for excellent dishes, Saito and Pho falls into the ok category especially for the Japanese offerings. The best dishes being the Wafu steak and combination pho. The service is always excellent and the decor hasn't really changed much since this place used to be a Chinese restaurant decades ago.
For lunch I took my mom to eat here cause she never been there before. She like it because something different, food was delicious and the staff was nice and friendly no complaints and it's a nice place for lunch and dinner
Saito and Pho Restaurant is a establishment with Japanese and Vietnamese influence in their menu. The menu has the typical Vietnamese appetizer and entrée along side with Japanese dishes like Katsu, udon, and tempura to name a few. The popular item, The Sizzling Plater, is a crowd favorite and head-turner among the customers. Service is fair and the interior has a darker design that is calming on the eyes. I will come back again for their Japanese menu!
Everything here is soooooo ONO!!! We always come on a weekend when we don't feel like cooking and it never disappoints! Food here is great and comes out fast. Our party of 6 ordered three wafu steaks because that's our go to! It would've been four wafu steaks but I wanted to give the oxtail pho add tendon a try and it was spectacular! I'm not a fan of the pho noodles but the veggies and the broth and the meat were sooo goood!!! My family loves the fried chicken wings here also! They usually run the front of house kind of short so service might not be the fastest or most tentative but they are nice and doing their best. The ambience just gives a homey feel like that restaurant down the road from home surrounded by locals. Ac is ran a lil on the colder side but I don't mind the cold. Overall great experience and value here is great with a vast menu.
Love this place! We were disappointed that the Wagyu was sold out, but it ended up pushing us to try something new. The Banh Mi sandwich was ono, and the BBQ pork over long rice was delicious as well. Definitely still a great experience, and we'll be back!

We weren't sure what to expect, but everything we ordered was seriously ono. This is one of those places that makes you want to tell your friends about it and come back the next week. We started with the crab Rangoon, and it was the perfect appetizer. Crispy, golden, and filled with a creamy crab mix that was full of flavor. It wasn't greasy at all, and the dipping sauce gave it a nice sweet and tangy balance. We could have easily eaten another order. My partner got the pho and could not stop talking about the broth. It was rich, savory, and clearly made with care. You could taste the depth of flavor that comes from hours of simmering. It came with all the classic toppings and fresh herbs, and the chili oil on the side added the perfect level of heat. I went with the wafu steak, and it might be my new favorite dish in Ewa. The steak was tender, sliced thin, and served with a delicious Japanese-style sauce that had just the right amount of umami and sweetness. It came with rice and veggies and was incredibly satisfying. Every bite was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the service was fast but never rushed. We felt really well taken care of from start to finish. If you are in the area or even just passing through, Saito & Pho is worth the stop. From the appetizers to the main dishes, everything we tried was a hit. This place is a true local gem and we can't wait to come back.
We come here for their sizzling steak platter as it's plentiful. It's a good portion of food & we normally get it as a set where you get the green salad, sashimi & t shrimp tempura. The prices are very reasonable & they have regular guests that come here for dinner. Service is pleasant. They also have a lot of takeout orders. Parking is conveniently located in front of restaurant.
This location of Saito & Pho is in the Windward City shopping center right next to KJ,'s. On my radar for years. Happy I finally came. I ordered the combination Pho. Very tasty broth and good size portion. .y wife had the Wafu Beef set. I got to sample her meal. Beef had a good taste and the sashimi the came with the set was of good quality. Atmosphere is clean and spacious. The high ceilings and the hanging plants gives you a relaxing feeling while dinning. Good and friendly service. Enjoy
ordered the eye-round steak and brisket pho along with the wafu steak, plus the tempura and sashimi add-on (which came with two shrimp, a few veggies, and five pieces of sashimi). From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we kept hearing the sound of sizzling plates coming from the kitchen, that's the wafu steak, and it's absolutely worth the noise. It was tender, flavorful, and easily my favorite dish of the night, honestly even better than their pho, which was still very good. While I probably wouldn't come back specifically for the pho, I'd come back for that wafu steak any day. The restaurant stayed busy the entire time we were there, the staff did a good job keeping our waters full, and the place was decently clean despite the crowd. Overall, great food, lively atmosphere, and that wafu steak alone makes this spot worth visiting.
After growing up in Chinatown for a good majority of my childhood, pho has always been a staple in my household. Whenever I'm feeling sick or hungover, it is usually the first thing I'll reach for when I'm in dire need of healing. This review is purely for my take out experience through Uber eats. I'll admit that I don't know many pho restaurants on this side of the island. I will admit I did have reservations on the name alone and was really fascinated at the fact that they serve a variety of Vietnamese and Japanese dishes. Remember when pho used to be under $15? I miss those days... One of the things I really consider when it comes to ordering through delivery apps is if the increased cost equates the value. This definitely was worth the $20 I spent. The portion was really generous and I love how they don't skimp out on the meatballs. The broth was very flavorful, a touch of saltiness with an underlying sweetness. I also really liked the reddish chili paste they provide with the hoisin, it was very reminiscent of Indonesian sambal, lots of umami and a little bit of spice. The veggies were also fresh and they gave a good amount of basil and mint which I always appreciate. I am very surprised that this place doesn't have higher ratings but maybe it is a little different dining in. It probably also varies on the dishes you order and they have quite a few. I have found a new favorite pho joint and this place will definitely be on my takeout rotation whenever I'm in the area. Yum!
For my friends birthday we chose Saito & Pho for lunch! We ordered spring rolls to share and each of us had a bowl of pho. I ordered with shrimp and the portion of shrimp was so generous!! The broth was also so delicious. My friends ordered brisket and combo pho and both really enjoyed! Our server was so wonderful and helped us to surprise our friend with coconut tapioca and a birthday candle! The restaurant was also really easy to find with lots of parking. The inside was decorated very nicely! Overall we were really happy we came here and we will definitely be back! Thank you so much
Awesome place. Great service. Pho is good but, my go to meal is the Wafu Steak. It does get crowded during peak hours.

I have heard of this place and had to try it out. There's 4 locations and I went to the Ewa location. My partner ordered Pho and some side items and I ordered the wagu steak entree. It came with either miso soup or salad, I decided on the soup. The service here was quick and the waitress was helpful and knowledgeable. The environment was pleasant and they have two flat screen televisions. I came on a Sunday, so lots of parking space. When the food came, it was far than I expected, very flavorful and tasty.Highly recommend. read more

DIrty as hell saw filthy hair on my bowl of pho can tell server and employee not even putting hair net for sanitation, bad service, beware if you care about your health, ever again will put my foot on this disgusting place. read more

5 Days of Rain, Drove up to Mililani Mauka and stumbled upon Saito & Pho Restaurant. What Bette' Way to Warm the Inner Soul. Ordered #54 Vermicelli with Spring Roll & #73 Pho with Beef, Beef Ball, Tendon and Tripe, oh they offer Med or Lrg Bowls! Delicious food and pretty reasonable. A variety of options and all Onolicious! Mama's favorite is her Pork Tofu, Wafu Steak was my niece and nephew's favorite. My favorite is the Oyako Donburi. Can't go wrong with their menu. It's great and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. read more

We use to love coming for their wafu steak but haven't been here in a while since covid. When we walked in, the employee behind the cashier counter greeted us and told us that we could sit anywhere. We decided to sit against the wall. There were 6 other tables that were occupied in the restaurant. Shortly after the server came to our table with settings and to take our order. She also took our drink order which came shortly after. We ordered the wafu steak with sashimi and one with sashimi and assorted vegetable tempura. The meals also came with salad or miso soup and we both ordered the salad. We were shortly served our salad which is a little bowl with Italian dressing. The lettuce was a little brown on some ends but was still crunchy enough to eat. The steak came out on the sizzling platter on a bed of onions and the wafu steak sauce on the side to pour onto the sizzling platter. I was very excited as this was my favorite meals to eat here. The steak use to be very tasty and tender. This time around, the sauce appeared to be watery after it was poured on and sizzles down. Usually the coating on the steak would absorb the sauce leaving a rich garlic soy flavor that is very delicious. The steak also was not as tender as usual and tasted different. The sashimi was fresh and great and the tempura was fried well and the ponzu sauce was delicious! I will definitely return to try the wafu steak again. I'm hoping that next time around, the steak will be as good as it use to be. read more
We love coming here but some days it's mehh. Service is a hit or miss. We get amazing service when it's all guys working, but their female worker who I assume is the owner, you can never crack a smile from her. Good thing the food makes up for it LOL Wafu steak never disappoints! My little ones enjoy the pho. Their bahn mi sandwiches can be tough to bite but it's still good. read more
We came one evening and was sat right away. The host/waiter was very nice and we were sat right away. I went with the miso butterfish and shrimp tempura combo...the fish was really thick the outside was crispy, the fact that it was so think made the center kind of raw...but it was very good. The Tempura was very good and I'd recommend this dish if coming here. My wife had the pork/tofu...it wasn't was we expected and to be honest I really didn't like it. She didn't like it either. We didn't complain. Not really my style but I we wont order that again. But I will say that my dish was really good and we will be back, just wont have the pork/tofu. Lol read more

The food here is consistently good. It would get a 5 star if service was good. This is a popular place they seem to get a lot of take out orders, so with that, the times that I have been there the wait is always so long. read more

Aloha!! Just a quick update;)) My hubby and I enjoyed another delicious meal at Saito &Pho Restaurant in Ewa Beach...just got through working n not feeling like going home to cook...so yes, here we are.. I'm yearning for some yummy soup..so yes I'll be ordering the Pork Tofu...this dish is "Wonderful" not exaggerating......the broth is like my mom's...(mom use to work in a Japanese restaurant and she made us so many yummy Japanese dishes)....simmered with bamboo shoots, fresh veggies, tofu and pork.......slurp...slurp..heavenly!! ..My hubby ordered the Teriyaki pork chops...these were georgeous to look at....and just wonderful to eat...we added Shrimp Tempura and sashimi to round off our meal...a small fresh salad and miso soup was included too! Boy we're we full to the gills....we both waddled out so happy and full... *Food prep n presentation: Food was seasoned just right...tasty...pork chops were prepared deliciously! See pics for presentation! *Ambiance: very nice decor...relaxing atmosphere....very clean interior...very cool (their air conditioning is cool).... *Customer service: excellent..,they have a young staff..on point ..greeting...bringing water quickly...taking our order..checking back for refills etc...awesome servers..food was delivered within 20 minutes..note: we walked in at 4:30 pm ..just 2 other couples..by 5:30 pm 4 couples arrived n they also were filling in phone orders...very smooth operation! *Hint: Good to go in earlier if possible! read more
I've been coming here since it was Restaurant Saito and the food has always been pretty consistent. I usually order the Wafu Steak or Ika Shioyaki. This past visit I ordered the Wafu Steak with the complete set. For $26.50 you get the Sizzling Steak, Tempura (2 pieces shrimp, kabocha, zucchini and carrot), Sashimi, Miso Soup, Salad and a bowl of rice. The tempura is always made fresh so you need to let it cool a little before you bite into it. The only thing that kind of annoyed me is that they gave us the check as soon as they brought our food out. They didn't even ask if we wanted to order anything else. read more

There are no words... just a lot of ummm, ummm, ummmm. It's so good and prepared correctly. This dish we always tend to order because it's so consistent. The Tempura is crunchy and not battered heavy. Sometimes it's better when the oil is cleaned The Sashimi never fail us as it's so fresh. The employees are just as great and Saito also honor military with a discount if 10%. So what are y'all waiting for read more

Hole in the wall gem located in Ewa Beach behind Burger King. Our friend recommends we try the Wafu steak so I had to come check it out. Parking lot is limited and shared amongst a handful of businesses. We got here as soon as they opened (11AM) on a Saturday so there was no wait. I recommend bringing a jacket cause it got really chilly. They have a bathroom located inside the restaurant towards the back. Service was awesome. The workers were really friendly. We ordered the wafu steak and we really wanted sashimi but they were out so we got tempura. Also a bbq chicken bahn mi, bbq chicken and spring roll vermicelli, and summer roll. The summer roll peanut sauce was hands down the best peanut sauce I had. Their bbq chicken was also yummy and well seasoned. The wafu steak came on a sizzling platter with miso soup,salad,and rice. We really enjoyed it. We also ordered thai tea which was very yummy. For being first in the restaurant,our food took kinda long to come out but we weren't in a hurry This restaurant has a variety of things on their menu from Vietnamese to Japanese.
