Finally got to come in store to dine there this past Sunday. We came in about an hour before their closing time and we were met with great service and food. I found a new favorite spot! I had been craving pho since I moved in the area and stopped by. Just wanted some hot soup to go and wasn't disappointed. I was met with a friendly smile and advised that the menus were at the front counter. Seems the people who were eating were totally enjoying their food and the atmosphere was great! But the treat was when I made it home and opened my meal and found it individually presented! The stock was wonderfully seasoned, the vegetables were fresh, the noodles ready to be added! This pho place is very authentic with their dishes. It has a good solid traditional Vietnamese Menu. The customer service is pretty good but at the same time their drinks are freaking awesome too. Order their beef dishes and you will immediately get a very authentic feeling. They do have veggie options, however any broth or sauce is not veggie. Even though you order vegetarian dishes they don't have purely 100% vegetarian options. Again that's not a deal breaker, absolutely not! The food is pretty good. Decided to try this place out since it's close by and others have given this place good ratings. I tried their Pho Dac Biet and it's pretty good! All the flavor is there and the broth was great, it has that homemade taste and it's not watered down or too overpowered by spices. They share a parking lot with other establishments in the plaza and there's plenty of parking. The staff seem pretty friendly and try to make conversation with their customers. They have a large variety on their menu including Hu Tieu, Banh Mi, vermicelli and rice dishes. It kinda has everything for everyone. Not sure what it is that makes the pho broth so comforting, but I would definitely come back! read more

It's worth the drive since I live in downtown Riverside where there are many pho places around, but I chose and would definitely come back here again. I haven't been here in years. But tonight was perfect. What is wrong with me? How could I have forgotten? The spring rolls wrapped in lettuce and mint were delicious and crispy. And the dipping sauce, sweet yet lemony-fishy. I want more! #31, pho with (5) plump wontons and slices of bbq'd pork. The broth and platter of sprouts were top notch. Plenty to bring home. #64, filet minion tips sautéed, served over rice, were so yummy and tender. I will have a hard time ordering anything different in the future. And as an extra surprise, it came with a bowl of clear broth with a subtle flavor of 5 star anise. Filled my tummy and was very satisfying. I cleaned my plate, nothing for tomorrow's lunch snack. Darn. And then there was the iced coffee. Dark, strong, sweetened with condensed milk. Gives me goose bumps it was so good. Or was that the caffeine? The final straw? The sweet bean mix and jelly topped with sweetened coconut milk and ice chips. Ahhhhh. A wonderful finish. The prices were really good, everything was so fresh, and the food came out quickly. My filet dish set me back about $8. The pho was in the $6 range. A wonderful meal that can't be beat for the price. An added benefit for me is its proximity to the Riverside Kaiser Hospital where my son is recovering. So if you are looking for good, cheap, healthy, close, and quick, this is a great choice. read more

We often order through phone apps and while the other restaurants that are commercial always show up with missing items, Pho 99 always gets our order right. The pho is delicious, and the food is handled well for delivery (raw steak). It's usually hot enough to cook the meat, and I have to get my pho at least once a week. Once, I tried to order when they were closed, so I had to order through another restaurant but it wasn't the same. read more

Terrible service. I am not sure if the server understood me but when I sat down I asked for a sprite after I ordered the drink she just stood next to me. I told her I'm not ready yet then she walked away I assumed to get my drink. Ten minutes later no drinks no one even to take my order.... then she comes back to my table no drink and asked me if I was ready and seemed annoyed. So I just said never mind I'm leaving. High key this is my go to place here at Riverside!! My first time I tried it and it was to go, but I legit enjoy my pho better when I'm there the service is amazing and I've became a regular now so I highly recommend the #16 with rare meat and a side of spring rolls Im very picky when it comes to the soup flavor and so far this place has been able to get it right for me so hopefully you enjoy it as well! This is a nice Pho with very light, grease free soup. The soup is not deep in flavor but has a hint of a nice beef stock flavor. The noodles are slightly chewy and on the soft side but no complaints here. The well done and rare beef slices were ok but lacking that beef goodness flavor to die for, the beef is not the main show here. What takes away the stars are the things that keep you from enjoying a good bowl of Pho. I wasn't expecting this at all and it might have been their off day but the following observations are the things that can easily chase customers away. Vegetables: The basil leaves smelled like sweat for lack of better word (possibly not cleaned well). Waiter: Coughing openly as he work the tables. Bug: There was a gnat floating on my soup, noticed it right away, that black round thing too big to be black pepper grind (I don't get upset over a gnat too much but it was not pleasant still. I took it out and proceeded to eat half the bowl, avoiding where the gnat was floating. I don't over react too much over it, things happen but if every single bowl comes with one in it, I'll throw down the napkin and walk out and never go back). The staff was friendly. The food arrived with just a short wait. The best thing about the Pho here were the noodles (Nice chewyness that doesn't crumble away like cheaper ones). As for the soup and vegetables they'll need to clean up a bit before I swing by again on the way to Barstow outlet or Vegas (right off the 215 fwy, very convenient). read more

I have been going to this Pho place since forever. There are a variety of things to eat on their menu, and everything is good. The pho here is probably the best in Riverside. The broth isn't super greasy, but it is aromatic. The noodles are the best here, not too soft or too chewy, just right. The meat is all good. Overall quality is good. The service is quick. Once you order, about a 5 minute-10 minute wait, the food is served. The place is super clean. The staff is super friendly, and my parents and the owners are like best friends. There were four families in there but we had to wait long to order, to get our food, then to ask a couple times for the rest of our two bowls of vermicelli noodles which had never come out even though the other five dishes already had a while ago. My favorite pho restaurant of all time!!!! The best hands down most authentic Pho and Vietnamese food in IE, no anywhere honestly. I grew up in Corona and I have tried basically every Pho spot in Corona & Riverside Pho Viet, Pho Hoa, Pho Xpress, Pho Amor, Pho Anam, you name it. I love the owners they're awesome, and the food, I can't describe it. It always comes out screaming hot and so so so flavorful, rich, deep, meaty perfectly salted broth, never watery, never bland, never lukewarm. They know wtf is up here and it is the gold standard whom I compare all other Vietnamese restaurants. Every time I try a new place because either it's closer to my house, or work, or a friend says she really likes this other place bla bla bla, I am ALWAYS disappointed! I will stray no more.
