As soon as we walked it it was good but once we sat down it smelled like dirty towel cleaning on the table, the customer service is not so good I had to remind the worker about my 2 drinks half way thru my food , they took 20min to bring it, finished my food before I got my drink . I'm giving this place 3 solid stars for the food. I tried their combination pho and their vermicelli w/ sautéed beef, lemongrass, onions and bean sprouts so far. They never disappoint! Quality is consistent every time! The reason I knocked down 2 stars is because there are times when I entered the restaurant and no one was there at the front to greet or seat me. Had to wait at the front for a while until someone finally comes out of the kitchen to seat me. First time here. Was warmly greeted by the owner, who stated she will love her pho broth, and she was right! My sisters and I each had pho: beef rib for myself, one sis had the vegetarian, and the other sis opted for the rare steak & fatty brisket. We also shared a couple appetizers: fried tofu and grilled mussels. Everything tasted great! The broth was hot & flavorful, rib meat was tender, and the bowl was full of yummy noodles. When I went inside I wasn't greeted or acknowledged (by the "owner") she was making drinks for a table, and didn't acknowledge me, she sat back down to eat her food, she got up once again to charge a group who was done with their bill. The pho size was good for how much it cost since my boyfriend and I split it , he's 6'4 and I'm half his size (I'm only 130). I did enjoy that aspect of it, but for the service definitely ask for what you need as soon as you order/ they give you ; your food cause the lady was on a phone call (speaker on) while we were eating the whole time until we realized she wasn't going to bring us our check. Second time coming to this location and the first time trying their Vegetarian Vermicelli ( Rice Noodles w/Vegetarian Egg Rolls). OMG the portion was GIGANTIC and could have easily fed a family of four lol The egg rolls were hot and freshly fried, and the vegetables were nice and crisp! To drink, I had the honeydew milk tea. It was a bit too sweet for me yet watery at the same time and the honeydew flavor was very subtle. My sisters and I also shared a plate of fries for an appetizer. I thought they tasted like McDonald's fries, so if you like those...get em! Again...huge portion! Service was wonderful! We ordered the pho tai and the one with meatballs. The broth was very delicious and flavorful. The bowl is large, and as someone who doesn't want THAT much, I would like for there to be a smaller version. We also got the grilled pork spring rolls and while it's not what we imagined they were pretty flavorful and delicious, the peanut sauce was okay, very average, we like the one from our other pho spot better. We Just left this restaurant frustrated and hungry ... Wish I could give this review zero stars. Poor customer service absolutely no structure or communication between any of the staff. On a Saturday evening (6pm) they have only two male waiters and one male working in the kitchen. The two servers were Running around the restaurant like chickens with their heads cut off ... I wouldn't say the restaurant was extremely busy there was one large party and 3 other small parties of 2 people (including us) ...As soon as we walked in we were told to choose our own table then waited over 10 mins for anyone to acknowledge us to take our order or offer us water. We tried to understand as they were taking orders from the large party . After we finally ordered (one spring roll, one pho and one grilled pork with noodles plate) the wait began , we watched the waiters literally running around yet none of the tables were getting their foods.. after over 30 minutes tables that had ordered before us began receiving their appetizers and we were still waiting for ours , again we tried to be empathetic and patient. Now we're at over 45 minutes after ordering and we saw the tables that ordered their food after us begin to receive their pain dishes , I kindly waived down a waiter and asked if it was Normal for them to take out the food out of order of how the orders were placed . He didn't understand what I was asking so I explained to him that I wanted to know how much longer we were going to wait to even receive our appetizer if other tables that had arrived and order after us were already eating .. the waiter told the other waiter to run to the kitchen and see the update on my food. Shortly after we were told they would start our order and rush it ... at this point we were so mad we decided to leave ... we were there over an hour and couldn't even receive our appetizer... and the appetizer isn't even something that's cooked .. so ridiculous!!! read more

As a salesman travelling Southern California, one of my associates recommended this saying "every time I'm in Riverside at lunch time this is the place to go." The food was EXTREMELY WELL PREPARED, it looked every bit as good as the first bite told my tastebuds and confirmed I found superb place for lunch. I ordered the Bun' which is grilled pork, vermicelli noodles, lettuce and more with a great sauce. I've had this at other places and instead of the meat being fatty, it was lean and grilled to perfection. This is such a HEALTHY ALTERNATIVE to pulling into a Burger or Fried Food place. The only thing I always worry about is when I recommend a great place, the next time I'm there it is packed! But I have to say for the small cost and superb taste - I'm glad to share it. Atmosphere: Two TVs and a lot of indoor seating but there was only one small party eating inside and only two other people waiting to pickup to-go orders on a Sunday night. Made me a little nervous since we just drove by the other Pho place one plaza over. Taste: 3 stars. The charbroiled pork tasted fine and they do give a little bit of lettuce salad with the pickled carrots so that's nice that it's more side veggies than at other nearby Pho restaurants. Another plus is that their shrimp in this rice dish is also slightly larger than other competitors'. They also give more sauce. However, they give less charbroiled meat. The meat to rice ratio was not proportioned so I had to take small bites of the pork as to not be left with only rice. Service: Fast. If you asked me where the WORST hot pot in town is, this is it. I had my doubts when going to a place serving various styles of food and my visit last night has only confirmed what I thought. At $20.99, the beef hot pot offered very tough/hard to chew slices of beef, some napa, enoki and a thin layer of noodles. The broth they used was good at first (had asked for some more too), but there was SO MUCH MSG and sodium in there I could not stop drinking water afterwards. The price is high for the low quality and what you actually get. Also tried their pho last night, which was brought out lukewarm and not piping hot like it should be. The meat and tripe were very tough in texture and did not have much flavor. All you could really taste was the overpowering taste of MSG from the broth. Let me not forget to mention how rude the man (who was also our server) at the front was. When we came in, he pointed at a table in a booth. No greeting, no smile or welcome whatsoever. Meanwhile, he was busy chatting away and being friendly with another table. It was nearly impossible to flag him down for anything after ordering and when I was able to, it felt like I was such a bother. The only person who was nice or helpful was a younger male who poured the broth and changed the hot pot stove when it was out of butane. I will stick to my usual spots for hot pot from now on. Why support a business who does not value customers? Not only that, but why pay more for low quality when you can pay less for high quality food AND service? Definite pass.
