I don't like to give negative reviews to mom & pop shops because I like to see the small businesses succeed, but this place... I ordered the sandwich & Thai iced tea, and here's my review based on that: The sandwich: 1) the supposed 8" sandwich was rather small. It looked smaller than Subway 6" sandwich. 2) the bread was soggy! How can bahn mi be soggy?? 3) the parts of bread that want soggy was so tough, my jaw hurt from trying to bite into it. 4) definitely not traditional bahn mi. This is the best restaurant in NorCo if not in all of Southern California! Truly authentic pho (their soup base is real broth that has been stewed for 6+ hours, unlike other places that use powder- yuck!). Their rice dishes are fantastic- tender, soft flavorful meat (filet mignon is my fave!) that I can tell is good quality alongside fluffy jasmine rice or fried rice (your choice!). Solid appetizers (best spring and summer rolls) and an extensive drink menu (blended and over ice drinks- milk tea is da bomb!) Pho Amor is constantly busy which speaks for itself on how great this place is!! I have had a wide range of foods here at different times and have mixed reviews about them but overall, they were all fairly good! Their pho is really good! No msg but the taste is still there! We also tried their fried rice. I don't know if it was just that day but the fried rice tasted very peppery so it didn't sit well with us. What always brings me back is their freaking bhan mi (Vietnamese) sandwiches!! Omg they are so freaking bomb here and I never get sick of it! Decent pho in the area. Of course, the pho around here doesn't compare to the pho in and around Westminster and Garden Grove but will suffice for now. I've never had a problem finding parking here no matter what time of day. The plaza is connected to a bigger plaza shared by Stater Brothers. I always see the same lovely couple in the front waiting to greet their customers. You order and pay for your food first at the front counter and they bring the food to your table. It's like fast food but they check on you and clean up after you. I love how they don't use MSG in their food which is a big plus for me and deserving of an extra star because the pho broth was actually good (considering no MSG). Taste-wise, it passed the test and the broth wasn't oily like most others. The egg rolls weren't anything special or something I'd come back for. We're very big one egg rolls and my husband always order them with his pho but he wasn't impressed either. There was this peculiar smell I couldn't quite put my finger on, which bothered me about the egg rolls. We didn't get to try anything else but I'm sure we'll be back again for their pho and maybe their dry vermicelli noodles or even their fresh smoothies. read more

The broth was very mild tasting,i got a well done meat pho. The place is clean and the servers are very attentive. We also got a all vermicelli plate with no pork. It's a good spot to stop for quick Pho. The meat is an amazing quality, they give an OK amount of noodles and a great amount of "toppings". My only reason for 4/5 stars is because I feel like the broth has little flavor compared to most Pho places. I mean, there's nothing you can't fix with Sriracha and Salt/Pepper, but I prefer places that require little addition to the broth. Thank you Wendy B for telling me to try this place out. First thing I noticed on the menu was that the steak pho is a bit more expensive than your average pho place. However, once I tried a bowl I knew why it was more. The broth was rich and I noticed it tasted different and heartier than other phos. I asked the owner about ingredients and he told me they use NO MSG! Awesome! I've been looking for awhile for a pho place who does not use MSG but have up because I couldn't find a single place. The noodles were not clumped and had nice texture and the steak was definitely of a higher quality than usual. The owner also mentioned that they have a safer way if brining the meat which is much better for you than the currently techniques used by most other places. And their drink selection is amazing. I've tried other drinks at other local places but always felt a bit disappointed by them because they couldn't even come close to an average place in Westminster or Garden Grove. However I tried two separate drinks here (passion fruit tea, and mango smoothie) and found them excellent and fresh. I applaud Pho Amor's commitment of providing a healthier option and a higher quality of pho. We will definitely become be back! read more

I was driving by and saw the grand opening sign and decided to give it a try. The Good: I love the Pho at this place. One of the best I have tasted. It is not too salty and the MSG is not as strong. I love their Filet Mignon Pho. The meat was very tender and very delicious. All the ingredients taste fresh and of good quality. I also ordered the eggrolls for appetizers, it was very delicious. I would recommend the Pho and the eggrolls, not sure about the rest since I didn't try but from the look of the menu, it seems to be delicious. The service was excellent and very friendly. The Bad: The prices. I understand the quality of the food like Filet Mignon are very expensive but at $8.95 for a bowl of Pho, just seem kind of steep for me. That is $10 per person with tax! I couldn't afford to order anything else to drink. Maybe I am frugal, but I just don't want to spend almost $20 per person(including drinks, appetizers, tax and tip) for lunch or dinner at a fast food place.
