Craving a family-style Korean restaurant with generous portions? Check out Da Rae in Corona! You'll know it's made for families the moment you walk in -- they've got a whole section of Korean drinks like banana milk, grape and pear drinks, and Korean-style coffee, not just the usual soda or beer. We ordered their ginseng chicken soup -- such a big chicken, stuffed with rice, herbs, and ginseng! My family, especially the elderly, loved it. The seafood pancake was crispy and packed with seafood, not floury at all. And the bulgogi? Huge portion -- I even had leftovers for lunch the next day! Everything was under $25, super worth it. We even caught the Dodgers game on their TV while enjoying our meal -- such a cozy family night! IG: socalhkfoodies

Yelped and tried this place after a round of golf nearby. Didnt expect much but food is unexpectedly good. Space is not too small nor too big. Good service. Will definitely go back when I am nearby.

Had a great meal. Reminded me of BCD in Irvine. I had the spicy pork combo and thought it was pretty good and that the kimchi beef tofu soup was even better. The galbi short ribs were also very good. The bibimbap was good, but served in something that was more like a plate than a bowl so it was harder to mix. The staff were all super nice and service was fast.

This is a great casual place for good Korean food. The food is fresh and tasty. The Samgyetang is great- classic, as it should be... it's not QUITE at 'Halmony' status (you know, fall off the bone soft, exquisite varieties of ginger & ginseng, etc.) but it is very good. The presentation of the Dol Sot Bibimbap is excellent; they use a large open face bowl instead of the standard tall-sides bowl. It really makes the dish look great. I have been to DaRae several times. The third time, it was later on a Friday night; my guess is it had been a busy night and they didn't have time to fully heat the stone bowls because it wasn't hot enough to produce the crispy rice. The dish was still good- but not as good as when i had been there on other occasions and the stone bowls WAS piping hot - hot enough to make the rice crispy. I will still go back though!

I wish this place was around when I lived in Corona. Came here for lunch and had a really good time. I'm used to korean bbq when it comes to korean food so this was a nice change of pace. The bulgogi is really good here and the sides were great. Service was nice, very attentive. I think they just had a change in ownership as well

Amazing tofu soup in Corona! I came here with a party of three on a Sunday night and we were seated immediately. The menus and tables are clean, and we ordered short ribs, cold noodle, medium beef tofu soup. The entrees and side dishes came out quickly! I actually drank all the tofu soup before I realized I didn't even take a photo. I appreciated how tasty everything was! I drive all the way from the IE for this.

New owners and unfortunately the menu changed. No more complimentary scallion pancake. Also removed a few other items we liked. Service was good, and communication has gotten easier. Same set up inside. Lots of seating. They were not as busy as usual. Ox bone soup was still excellent. Banchan was not as good. Used to come once a month but might not be coming in as frequently anymore.

Cute, small Mom and Pop Korean delicacy that fulfills cravings. Food comes out hot and delish. I love all the mini platters and the servers are great at recommending new things off the menu.

We had been coming here for months and this evening's service and food was just ok. First, the menu looks different and the pictures and some specials on the wall have all been taken down. There were previously two older women working for the several other times we've been there but today had a young waiter and another woman. It was a little busy, so we understand the service and food was a little slow. However, not sure what the other recent reviews refer to, but we did not get the complimentary green onion pancake anymore. I really liked this fried little appetizer. The sides were still similar of kimchi (one bite was very fishy), pickled radish, pickled cucumber, broccoli etc. but they no longer have the fried fish cake. On to my usual dish, the bulgogi and beef tofu soup were just ok this time, not as flavorful as before.

Came here earlier this month as I was craving some Korean food and they did not disappoint! I will say I wish there was another tray of sides as I ordered two different meats. It was kind of limiting because of that. The food though was packaged nicely and was so good even the next day. Would love to try it in person next time instead of to go. See how much more is given or if anything else is given if consumed in the restaurant.

Very clean restaurant and fast service. The sundubu is definitely what to get, the broth is rich and delicious. Banchan were great, aside from the kimchi. It tasted like fresh cabbage with gochujang and sesame oil, never had kimchi like that. Seolleongtang broth was also maybe instant? It did not have the rich heartiness of other soups we've had. Photo also looks kind of different than some others that have had it. Maybe off day?

We came are here for dinner. I ordered the Bulgogi Soon Tofu Combo and it was pretty expensive ($30). They have different prices for lunch and dinner. Dinner is like $5 more expensive than lunch. They had unlimited sides which was nice and also the food is pretty good. The service was good and the ambiance was good.

Do you still offer banchan and veggie pancake?

Hi Richard! Yes, we still serve banchan with your meal. We no longer offer the veggie pancake at this time.

Do they sell their kimchi in jars to go? When I look I up, an ai response says they do but I don't want to go and it end up not being true

Sorry, Darae is now under new management and no longer sells kimchi in jars.

Is the soy sauce authentic Korean without wheat? I have a wheat allergy.

Thank you for reaching us out. I recommend that you safely enjoy dishes that do not contain soy sauce, as there are many menus without soy sauce. Thank you!

Does this restaurant serve Beer and Soju?

We're sorry, we do not serve alcohol.

The crab legs alone would've been worth the price, but it didn't stop at crab legs. They had a pretty abundant selection with some really good eats. I enjoyed the sushi and sashimi. I enjoyed the salt and pepper shrimp, scallops, muscles & other seafood options. It was just a really nice buffet. I definitely recommend. We had roughly 30 guests, and the restaurant comfortably accommodated our group in one section of the dining room with a combination of long tables and booths, which made it easy for everyone to sit together and enjoy the celebration. Every once in a while they played a birthday tune over the speakers, which was definitely an interesting and fun touch that added to the festive vibe of the evening. The buffet itself has a huge selection, and everyone seemed especially excited about the fresh seafood options. My niece even tried snail for the first time, which impressed me! There's also a large variety of sushi, which many of our guests enjoyed. Some of my personal favorites were the black pepper chicken, green beans, and sautéed mushrooms. Everything else looked delicious too, but I was already full. Next time I'll definitely come prepared with a bigger appetite to really take advantage of the AYCE experience. One thing I wish they offered was more beverage choices. The options were limited to soda fountain drinks, green tea, and unfiltered water, which wasn't the best selection to pair with such a wide variety of foods. There were also plenty of fried comfort foods like pizza and fries, which made it a great place for both adults and kids since there's truly something for everyone. The staff was friendly and attentive, and overall it was a great place to gather with family and celebrate a special milestone.
