    Spring Rolls Delight

Not my favorite type of food on the Aisan side, but when dealing with a light eating choices, it's really for healthy eating here for me. Maybe after the gym, or dieting this food probably best. Unique dipping sauces, where you can't find no where else.

Everything was delicious, and the service was super friendly and they explained some of the dishes to us. I highly recommend them.

Food was served really fresh and hot. The restaurant is super clean and smelled amazing. Service was polite and quick. Perfect for a quick fix for noodles and pho.

Have been coming here because it is very close to where I live and their pho is always pretty good, has a nice flavored broth and the large is a good portion. Recently tried the spring rolls this time and they were not my favorite, they fell apart very easily and the peanut sauce was just okay, I would probably try the egg rolls next time instead. Not usually busy for lunch and service was quick!

I'm guessing I must've got the bad batch of PHO GA even the garnishes were old, they did not add much taste. I won't be going back.

One of Houston's most successful pho establishments has to be Pho Dien, as they've quietly been…read morekilling it Chinatown, Katy, and Humble. For the latter, it's gotten to a point where no other Vietnamese spot has come close. For pho seekers who happen to be in Humble, Pho Dien 1960 is an absolute must. The place is small, but they've stacked their small dining room into a very group friendly setup consisting of small booths and tables. The stale air quality is reminiscent of old school spots around town and the young Viet guys running the joint keep the place friendly and efficient. In terms of the pho, there are no complaints. The broth skews somewhat sweet, but it's aromatic enough for me to normally slurp it completely dry. Their best asset has been the meat, which is excellent. Their combination dac biet is an excellent variety that includes meatball, tripe, flank, and some of the best rare steak and tendon I've had. The latter is buttery and smooth enough to where I can't get enough. I tend to order it in their XL (xe lua) size, which is an off-menu item that goes for nearly $20 ($19.45) and is one of the largest bowls I've seen. I always look forward to getting it. While their banh mi and bun dishes are not nearly the same caliber, they still pass the test as a quality offering. The cha gio is a bit paltry, without any greens and a small bowl of semi-spicy nuoc mam (fish sauce). Their Vietnamese coffee is chocolate-y, and perfect for to-go. Their weekday lunch combo special is a good deal, in which one can come in for a small or medium sized pho and get an order of two cha gio or goi cuon with an iced tea. Parking is really easy on the weekends, especially since most of the businesses in the strip mall are closed. It may feel a tad more expensive ($12-18 per most entrees) but this is the price one pays in suburbia without having to head to any of the enclaves.

Back then, I believe we used to have a flyer/menu from them that some employees ordered from. I visited on a cold day where most of the customers were taking their orders to-go. The setup is a little confusing at first, but you just go down the serving line and stop when someone asks you for your order. You can get a tray, or not, depending on how many plates or dishes you ordered. The ready area (for dine-in customers) is weirdly placed in the middle of the line and the spot for to-go orders is at the end of the line next to the last register. Once your order has been places, you grab the ticket and take it to a register. This setup reminds me of a little local deli I used to visit regular in Stafford. I will say that their selection of hot sandwiches and specialty sandwiches is limited. Most are 1 protein only which is probably how they can keep their prices so low. I asked the order taker if you could customize or make a hot roast beef sandwich or toast it and first she didn't understand me, then she just repeated the two hot sandwich options from the menu. I again asked can you make the sandwich toasted, then she said yes. The sandwich, by default, comes on French bread. I wasn't familiar enough with the menu to pick another bread so I just stuck with French. I chose provolone cheese. It comes out after a few mins and it's nicely toasted and ended up being a nice size sandwich with an adequate meat to bun ratio. The sandwich also comes with a pickle spear. I also added a cup of homemade chili which is pretty decent. The meat is finely ground and I prefer it to be more coarse, but the flavor was good. All of their entrees and side dishes have low prices. One of the best deals is the "classic" sandwich which comes with prosciutto. An even better deal may be their baked potatoes with 4 toppings for only $2.09 weekdays!

We had a party of 7 and did order on the promotion items as described by the restaurant. But after paying I was recalculated the amount of the bill and found out they overcharged us. I understand you may forgot to take off one item on the bill but 5??? That's more like intentional than a purely mistake. I did tell the manager about the issue and they did give me the discount as in their promotion but I felt very bad to be scammed like that. The manager did apologize but I don't see any sincerity on his part neither. I strongly suggest the management should review their policies and definitely should not scam your customers. Here's the summary: Subpar Food - Entirely lacked authentic flavor; tandoori chicken arrived lukewarm (tasting microwaved), and "extra hot" korma had zero spice or taste. Inattentive Service - Required flagging down staff just to place an initial order. Hidden Charges - Unlabeled table water bottles were covertly billed without prior disclosure. Questionable Payment Practices - Staff demanded blind payment on a card reader, refusing to show an itemized bill beforehand until insistence forced them to cancel the screen. If you'd like to know more: The food lacked any authentic flavor or expected preparation. The tandoori chicken, usually served sizzling on a hot plate (my experience at other Indian restaurants), arrived lukewarm, tasting as though it had simply been microwaved. Both the korma and the dishes requested at an "extra hot" spice level were entirely devoid of flavor and heat. Service was equally disappointing, requiring us to flag down a waiter just to place an initial order. Compounding the poor experience, two bottles of water left on the table were billed at $1 each without any prior disclosure or mention from the staff. Most concerning was the payment process: the waiter presented a card scanner with a total, refusing to provide an itemized bill beforehand and stating we could only see it after paying. (Only after insisting did the waiter cancel the payment screen so I could review the charges). Between the subpar food, inattentive service, and questionable billing practices, this establishment feels shady and untrustworthy. I cannot recommend it and will not be returning.

The naan was also a proper full size, unlike some restaurants that have reduced the size while raising prices. Unfortunately, every visit has had some type of issue with the transaction. This time, I was not given an itemized receipt, but after texting the digital receipt to myself, I noticed an additional percentage added to each menu item, followed by sales tax on top of that. The menu showed flat prices, so it was unclear why the extra amount was added. The employee said they had recently changed systems, but customers should not have to carefully inspect a receipt to discover unexplained charges. There was also a Kirkland bottled water placed on every table. I declined a drink when asked, did not drink the water, and was still charged over a dollar for it. At a restaurant serving spicy food, customers reasonably expect water to be available. If bottled water costs extra, that should be clearly explained, and free tap water should be offered as an alternative. To their credit, the employee apologized and gave me a complimentary mango lassi. They also offered me something free after an issue during my previous visit. However, my main concern is not receiving a free item afterward. It is whether the pricing and charges are being handled honestly and transparently for every customer. I plan to return once more to see whether these issues were truly caused by the new system. The restaurant has a good product, generous portions, and tasty food. I hope management addresses the billing practices, because repeated transaction problems can quickly damage trust, even when the food is excellent.
