    Cream cheese egg rolls
    Brittany B.

Judge me if you must, but today I ate a cream cheese egg roll. To be fair, it was filled with veggies and seemed more like a veggie egg roll with some cheese, but a cream cheese egg roll nonetheless! Here's the kicker, I have no regrets and from one visit alone would introduce this egg roll and a few of their other tasty bites to a friend! 8pm on a weeknight and this spot was packed! It's seems like there's not a "type" that comes here, instead, it's one of those places where everyone comes and gets along with the greater mission of enjoying delicious food. Although my Banh mi came before my egg rolls, and intimidating as it appeared, I shut my mouth after one bite. The chicken banh mi was bursting with flavor, the jalepeno was crisp and spicy, the chicken was juicy and the veggies cool and crisp! Something on the sandwich was pickled and it's pickled to perfection. Fair warning, this thing is thick! You must eat it with intention, and after this banh mi experience, I have to come back to try more!

"Large" Pho with 3 meat eye round, flank and brisket.

It took over 15 mins from the time I seated myself and to get someone to take my order. It was maybe half full and it was lunch hour so I gave the benefit of doubt and everyone else seemed to be waited on promptly. I got a sad portion of veggies and the smallest large Pho I've ever had... smh. It was good though... but going to order the XL next time.

Super good pho spot and well priced! I got a small chicken pho for about $12.90, which I thought was good because it was a great portion. The soup was good and full of flavor. I took my order to go, and drove about 15 min to get home and everything was still fresh and delicious! The noodles were soft which is such a plus because I hate overcooked noodles lol Parking here is easy. The inside has a good amount of tables and looks very clean. A nice young man took my order and was very nice. They seem to be a good working team and got my food out to me in about 12 minutes! If you're thinking of swinging by, do so! It's really good you won't regret.

Whenever I Come To The Pho Vietnamese Kitchen My Go To Orders Are The Pho Combination And The Shrimp Egg Rolls! The Pho Bowl Is Full Of Flavor. I Add All The Condiments With A Little Bit Of Chillie Oil And Hoisin Sauce. The Price Is Unbeatable!

First time trying The Pho and we were impressed!! Small little place, our server was very sweet. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and they were just okay, the peanut sauce was a little underwhelming. We got the grilled shrimp vermicelli bowl and the chicken pho and both were very good. Meals were super flavorful and the broth in the pho was amazing. Will definitely love to return.

This the H3- it was so good. Has a little spicy kick to it and a combination of meats. Try it!

Went here for tbe first time last night and loved it! The service was great, waiter was nice, place was clean and most of all my food was sooo good! We got the H3. Royal. The toppings you see come in a separate plate so if you don't like it don't worry you don't have to put it in!

Have tried this place several times now & I love it. The soup is so good, it's comforting. The noodles & flank/brisket also delicious. For the drink, I get the HOUSE SPECIAL.... Sooop bomb & refreshing. For sides, I get the spring rolls... also loveee. The restaurant itself has cute & relaxing vibes to it service is fast. I recommend !

This is an average Vietnamese restaurant. They did offer 10% off since there was construction going on while we were there. Food: The flavors were good, not great. The food was freshly made. Service: They brought the food dish by dish, and did not come back often to check on our beverage needs. Also I had to go up to the counter in order to pay. Parking: is limited in front of the restaurant, however there is a very open parking lot on the other side. Very ample parking. I'll probably not return as I'll search for a better Vietnamese restaurant. However, if you want an average experience this would be good

The Pho Vietnamese Kitchen was a complete success! Staff were extremely friendly and greeted us as soon as we entered. They had a large selections of food to order from assortment of Phos , sandwiches and vermicelli bowls. Shortly after seating us and taking our order our food came quickly and efficiently despite it being a Sunday lunch rush which surprised me , today my wife and I order a Charming chicken pho a Beef Bahn mi and two egg rolls as our appetizer. Starting with the Egg rolls they we extremely fresh served with a side of sweet carrots and daikon that balanced the crisp and crunchy saltiness of the egg rolls each bite of the egg rolls was also accompanied by a very light and not overwhelming sweet and sour sauce that tied the whole experience together. Now the main event the Charming chicken pho which was extremely hot and had such an inviting sweet aroma. My first taste of the broth was rich and so flavorful almost if my tongue had been engulfed in warm hug by merely the broth of the Pho but it didn't stop there the chicken was perfect it was cooked well and was very moist and seasoned extremely well the chicken almost felt apart in my mouth and was very delightful to eat now for the rice noodles tied the broth and chicken together they were extremely soft and plentiful the pho fired on all cylinders!!! Now for the beef Bahn mi which was incredible the baguette was so light and fluffy while also being so crispy on the outside allowing for a light crunch to come through on each bite the meat was so delightful almost melting on the tongue it was a tad bit on the sweet side but it balanced well which the chili oil and jalapeños I incorporated into the Bahn mi the picked daikon and carrots elevated the Bahn mi even further which made for a nice tangy sensation which each bite. Overall the food was amazing and the staff were extremely friendly and efficient we will definitely be back soon thank you The Pho Kitchen!!!!

Very hearty and not too spicy. The broth is rich with a refreshing relish tang. My BF and I shared a bowl because there was no way I would've finished it on my own with everything else we ordered. Chicken Dumplings in Beef Soup - Seems to use the same broth as the Beef Noodle Soup. Not my personal favorite because the dumpling wrapper is a bit too thick, but it's a small miss considering how fond I already am of this place. Pan-Fried Pork Dumplings - How is this place making money? These things are massive and deliciously oily. There's a clean Maillard effect on the bottom that adds so much flavor. They also have an interesting fold--I've never seen dumplings shaped quite like this before. The pork flavor comes through strongly with the classic scallion combo. Steamed Bao Bun - Yaass, reliving my Chinese drama dreams. These weren't as sweet as the commercial ones, which I personally prefer. Still, I reckon this is how they tasted in those shows, so I'm stoked for the experience. Now, will I say this is the absolute best dumpling place in Houston? No--but there is something undeniably attractive about this place, and it is fundamentally delicious. It embodies one of the best versions of a classic mom-and-pop restaurant, serving homemade food that isn't perfect but reflects craftsmanship and care beyond the appeal of modern restaurants. My dumplings weren't wrapped with perfect precision, nor were they the pinnacle of healthy eating. They were just blatantly delicious--like when your mom cooks your favorite meal on a weekend night. That's why I would come back. This place represents the most authentic form of home and freedom in food. The downside of all the carbs I ate is that I had to volunteer at my local theatre afterward, and I was crashing haaaaaard while sending this place so much love.

5 Stars - Authentic Szechuan that absolutely nails the classics…read more During our short trip to Houston, as a custom, we were determined to find real Szechuan food, and luckily we found Hu's Kitchen. The location is a bit unassuming, and parking is definitely tough (the spaces are very shallow), but the second we walked through the doors and smelled the Szechuan peppercorns, I knew we were in exactly the right place. I generally judge a Szechuan restaurant by their 夫妻肺片 (Fuqi Feipian)--which they cleverly name "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" on the menu. They completely nailed it. The beef, tripe, and tendon were incredibly cohesive together, yet you could tell each component was prepared and marinated in a slightly different way to perfectly highlight its specific texture. The chili oil was right on the spot. We went through a massive bowl of rice just eating this dish alone. Honestly, if I weren't feeding a family of four, I could have just ordered that and been perfectly happy. While the Fuqi Feipian proves their skill with dry dishes, the 水煮魚片 (Fish in Szechuan Hot Chili Oil) proves their skill with wet ones. It's another must-order. The execution was flawless--we didn't just finish the tender fish chunks, we ate every last piece of cabbage soaked in that incredible chili broth. For my two daughters who can't handle the heat, we ordered the fried rice, garlic pork ribs with onion, and the 紅燒獅子頭 (Giant Meatball with Cabbage). The giant meatball was spectacular. The kids completely devoured it on their own, but I managed to steal a bite, and it instantly brought back childhood memories of exactly how this dish is supposed to taste. We also had the Dan Dan Noodles, which were great and rounded out the meal perfectly. I loved all of the dishes we tried. I recommend Hu's Cooking to use a bigger bowl and more sauce because it was difficult to mix the noodles and the sauce wasn't...saucing, unfortunately. I wish there was more flavor in this dish. The Scallion Pancake was super over-fried and oily. See image in my review. The outer parts of the pancake were fried to a crisp and only a small circumference in the center stayed chewy. I know Chinese tends to be oily but this pancake soaked up way too much oil. Half a Peking duck: super great price for so much meat. The difficulty when eating this dish is gnawing the meat off the sharp bones of the duck. Mapo Tofu with white rice: pretty easy staple, no complaints here.
