Excellent Vietnamese restaurant. Came by for lunch with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised at how good Pho An was. Their menu is quite simple with Pho as their main specialty along with rice dishes and curry stews. On this day, I had their rice plate with pork chop and thought it was excellent. The pork was extremely flavorful with the portion size hard to beat. My wife had their beef Pho that comes with 2 egg rolls as advertised as their lunch special. I tried their Pho too and it was also very good. Every dish was around 7-10$ which was very reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. My only complaint was the food did took a bit of time to come out but it was a busy lunch for them and they did apologize for the delay. That's a thumbs up for me. read more

Hubby and I think we found our new go to spot for Vietnamese food! We tried the Bun Rieu, BBH, and the duck and bamboo noodles (yes, we eat a lot, don't judge). Everything came out quickly. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was very fresh and flavorful. Owners seemed very sweet and they are following social distancing protocols. Interior is clean, they are spreading out seating at every other table, and there is hand sanitizer available everywhere. It is too bad that on a Friday night, there were only a few other patrons. Love love love this place. Cannot say enough good things about it. Definitely try the egg noodle with wonton soup and grilled pork broken rice dish. They have the best soup broth in town and their bi (pork skin) are absolutely delicious. Have been a returning customer for a long time now and will continue to do so! I came here because I saw there were several folks who said they made the Bun Rieu. This place did not disappoint! The restaurant was empty when I arrived at 9:30 in the morning, but I was looking for a hearty Bun Rieu for breakfast and a Ca phe sua da! The Bun Rieu was super fresh, very savory and definitely the best I have eaten in quite some time! I can certainly see why locals say it is the best in the area. I think I may have found my new favorite place for Bun Bo Hue...and that's hard to accomplish especially since the consensus in the Vietnamese community is that there's one place that has the best Bun Bo Hue (Pho Tay Do). I think that is about to change. This location has undergone quite a few different ownerships that have failed due to not very good food being put out. However, I had heard that this newest restaurant, Pho Long, actually had some really good dishes so I wanted to give it a try. The restaurant wasn't super busy so our service was pretty good. Another thing that you notice is that it is pretty clean inside which is a huge plus for pho restaurants. I decided to order the Bun Bo Hue which was on their specialties menu and I'm really glad that I did. The food came out fairly fast and in addition to the entrée, they also include a side of sate (chili oil) and you can put in as much as you want instead of them giving you a set amount. Unlike other places, the broth is not very greasy and has this nice deep spicy flavor that is enhanced by the sate. The veggies on the side were super fresh as well as the spring rolls that we had ordered. The spring rolls were actually quite bigger than most places nowadays. I've since gone back a couple of times and ordered the same thing with the same results and now it's become my go-to place for Bun Bo Hue. Granted, that's the only thing I've eaten there so this review isn't very comprehensive of the restaurant as a whole but if you're looking for BBH, I'd highly recommend trying this place. read more

I love the #40 and #61 on their menu. I live close to Richardson and always had to drive to Garland for authentic Vietnamese food. A friend of mine told me about this place and I came in to try these two items and was pleasantly surprised how delicious they were compared to the many Vietnamese restaurants in Garland. Mr. G. and I love Vietnamese food. We had experienced some locally before our trip to Vietnam a few years ago, but have since made the cuisine part of our regular rotation of go-tos on the weekend. Pho An, despite being around the corner from our house, is new to us in the last few months. Their pho broth has great flavor and meat is always generous. I also love to mix it up with Vermicelli dishes and theirs are also great. Only negative here is twice our to-go orders have been missing the second meat for the pho. I had high hopes. It was cold, wet and dreary. Perfect weather for Vietnamese soups, any of them. The Bun Bo Hue looked promising. The Mi, Egg Noodle soup looked promising. We were hopeful. The Bun Bo Hue was... "eh" there was alot lacking from the meats and broth. The Egg Noodles were watered down. Overall, would I trek across Plano to try something else? Probably not. This was some of the best pho I have ever had! Easy parking and super fast service. We were lucky enough to be some of the only people in the restaurant. I just had the best pho you can find in DFW! The restaurant is very spacious and welcoming. We started with some tofu spring rolls which I highly recommend to try. The pho was made to perfection, lots of vegetables and not just carrots and broccoli like most places. The portions were very generous and the service was impeccable. Yep tried a new Pho place out today. We came in right before they were about to close around 7:50pm. The employees were very nice and kind. Tried the Chicken Pho and Spring Rolls. This place changed hand a few time and I never once bother to try them out. After hearing my wife's coworker mentioned pho long a few time we decided to give it a try tonight. I'm very impressed, the place is clean, not like Tay Do and the service was excellent. I ordered the bun Rieu which I often craved for but didn't know where to order. It was delicious and they gave me good amount of everything in the bowl. Wife ordered bun Bo hue and it was very good too. She ordered regular and couldn't finish since they gave her so much food. Vegetarian vegetable pho & pho with meatballs and tenderloin = $15. Veg pho broth was flavorless but the veggies were delicious! Tofu in the soup was delicious. Tenderloin was good, not fatty. This was legit food but he service was kind of brutal. They put some spring rolls down in front of us and then immediately came back and took them away and gave them to the table next to us. Our spring rolls were on the other party's table. Then, they brought my soup and put it in front of my friend who tried to confirm that it was supposed to be for him and they said it was. When the second bowl arrived, loaded with cilantro (the first bowl had none, as I had ordered it,) we just went with it. If they had come out closer together it would have been one thing, but the second bowl came out nearly ten minutes after the first and he had eaten a fair amount by then. I never did get the coffee I ordered. However, the waiter did apologize and said they were short handed that day. Also, the food was really pretty good (once I fished out most of the cilantro,) so I'll be back to give them a second chance. read more

Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu are both very solid choices. I've had BBH at other restaurants and not been a huge fan of the dish; however, the BBH here has turned my opinion around. This is the best Bun Bo Hue I've ever had. The soup is very fragrant and spicy, and the large size gave me enough leftovers for another small meal. My wife rated the Bun Rieu a solid 8, with the only better Bun Rieu available in Vietnam. We will definitely be back to get our fix of authentic Vietnamese food. read more

I've had Phu in lots of places but I haven't found another place that makes their Bun bo hue as good as this place. Hands down

We ordered banh mi dac biet (combo), almost $5 each first time 3 weeks ago and It was really good. We ordered again yesterday but 6 sandwiches this time. We got two slices of BBQ pork and two slices of Cha Lua / Gio Lua with regular garnishes (diakon, carrotss, jalapeno, and cilantro). They smothered it with lot of butter but not pate this time. It was very bland. We are not going back again, it was a huge dissappointment. read more

The food is good and pretty authentic. I tried Grill Pork Vermicelli with Spring Rolls. As the other comment stated, the spring roll is crispy with delicious filling. I am very guilty of judging restaurants pre-meal by how many people are dining there, and when Pho Long was empty @ 6pm I was very concerned. Much to my surprise the pho was AMAZING!
