Came here via referral. The locals love it. The place is huge. Great for groups. We came in on a Saturday and were sat quickly. We ordered the fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce, hot Jasmin tea, chicken Pho and Vermicelli. Food came out fast. Huge portions. Food was scrumptious. I appreciated that the pho had huge pieces of chicken. Sauces, cutlery, and seasonings are on the table. Pay at the counter. Plenty of parking in the retail lot. Một, hai, ba, dô!

Had weekday lunch here. They're busy. I ordered grilled pork rice plate, soup on the side. The meat is thinly sliced and marinated. It's delicious. Servers are helpful. Well decorated restaurant and lots of parking.

Visited this place with my parents. I ordered a regular bun Bo hue and thought it was decent. They give you a lot of tender beef and noodles but the broth overall doesn't have a lot of lemongrass and seasonings. It also gets a little salty over time. Same thing for the pho, the broth is a little salty for my liking but the beef is super tender. This place gets pretty busy so expect a little wait for food. Service was normal and the restaurant was clean, but the floors were a little slippery.

We came for the Bun Bo Hue and it did not disappoint! I got the large size and it came with plenty of meat and they didn't leave out the blood cake like some other places. Surprisingly, I liked the blood cake here more than any other places I've had it because it was less irony in flavor. The broth was flavorful and bit more shrimp paste forward compared to others. The noodles were fine but I felt there should have been more given the size of the soup. The only thing I didn't like is that they chop up the bean sprouts and mix with the cabbage. I can't stand bean sprouts! Overall, I thought the BBH was better than Pho Tay Do but not quite as good as Bep Nga which is my favorite one. Pho A definitely earns a place in my lunch rotation! The service was great. They refilled our waters several times and never let us run dry.

We went on Friday around 5:30pm and it was empty. We ordered 2 bowls of pho and 2 plates of the grilled pork. The grilled pork plates came last and they tasted terrible. The pork was at best room temperature, dry and chewy. It had the texture of beef jerky. I also had the egg meatloaf and shredded pork skin that was cold. The only thing I could think of is that the food was precooked and microwaved. I really enjoy their pho but the rice dish was inedible.

I went in wanting egg noodles, with wontons and pork but ended up getting the beef soup with egg noodles. I requested fried garlic to add to my bowl and the flavor was great! The beef was really tender and didn't contain too much fat. I didn't have to add any hoisin, soy sauce, etc to my bowl, which is always a good thing. I ordered the egg rolls as well, and they were presented hot and perfectly crunchy. You could smell pho the moment you want into the restaurant, but I was here for the bun bo hue. Service was good. They were attentive. I've tried BBH from Bep Nha, Pho Tay Do, and Goc Hue. This is not bad, but I wouldn't place it in the top 3. It was the most unique though. The broth tasted different, most flavorful and salty. They were generous on the meat portion too.

Broth has good flavor. Restaurant is clean and the servers are friendly. Hope the broth will be more hot in temperature and the BBH noodles are not too soft. Otherwise, they are very decent Viet food in town.

ORDER Pho Dac Biet (Combination Pho) Regular Sized - The bo vien (meatballs) had really nice chewy and soft texture. The broth airs on the lighter side and is not that salty compared to other pho places which make it taste really good. The meat portions are pretty generous and noodles are well-cooked. The meat was also really tender which was yummy. I will say the only thing is that some of the leafy vegetables (like the mint) does look a bit on the older side with some black. Tra Chanh (Lemon Tea) - Lemon Tea was really tasty. It was good with a hint of sourness and some sweetness. Reminds me of the lemonade that my mom would hand make whenever I got sick as a child. Super tasty and light! I usually don't go out that often for pho since my mom makes it at home, but I will say that this place is one of the better places in the DFW area. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try pho or enjoys eating pho! VIBES Definitely a viet-owned and family viet restaurant vibes. I think it was pretty funny that there was a little girl practicing piano on this electronic keyboard for everyone to here. The place is sizable with lots of seating. All the condiments and utensils are at the table for grabs. Overall very homey and casual feeling. SERVICE Service was good. Seating is pretty much open seating and they take your order then you pay up at the counter. Though it's not explicitly mentioned on their menu, they do serve Pho Dac Biet (combination pho). They are super fast to get food and everything comes quickly.

Really good Vietnamese place that has a bunch of options in the Richardson/Plano/Garland area! I love how the have so many options! Their BBH is not my number one place though. I love their pho and their bun rieu. The Bo khi wasn't my favorite either. It was a little too much on the curry taste than beef stew. Service here is pretty fast though I'll give them that!!

I came to this restaurant to order food to go. I was wondering how big the portion was for the com bo luc lac and right as I was asking the waitress, another waitress was bringing that dish to a seated patron. I saw the portion size and decided to order it, seeing that it was a good amount. When I opened the to go container, I was very disappointed. There was a huge amount of rice and little beef. I won't order food to go from this restaurant again.

Excellent Vietnamese restaurant. Came by for lunch with a group of friends and was pleasantly surprised at how good Pho An was. Their menu is quite simple with Pho as their main specialty along with rice dishes and curry stews. On this day, I had their rice plate with pork chop and thought it was excellent. The pork was extremely flavorful with the portion size hard to beat. My wife had their beef Pho that comes with 2 egg rolls as advertised as their lunch special. I tried their Pho too and it was also very good. Every dish was around 7-10$ which was very reasonable for the quality and portion size of the food. My only complaint was the food did took a bit of time to come out but it was a busy lunch for them and they did apologize for the delay. That's a thumbs up for me. read more

Hubby and I think we found our new go to spot for Vietnamese food! We tried the Bun Rieu, BBH, and the duck and bamboo noodles (yes, we eat a lot, don't judge). Everything came out quickly. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was very fresh and flavorful. Owners seemed very sweet and they are following social distancing protocols. Interior is clean, they are spreading out seating at every other table, and there is hand sanitizer available everywhere. It is too bad that on a Friday night, there were only a few other patrons. We will definitely be back to support them! read more

Love love love this place. Cannot say enough good things about it. Definitely try the egg noodle with wonton soup and grilled pork broken rice dish. They have the best soup broth in town and their bi (pork skin) are absolutely delicious. Have been a returning customer for a long time now and will continue to do so! I came here because I saw there were several folks who said they made the Bun Rieu. This place did not disappoint! The restaurant was empty when I arrived at 9:30 in the morning, but I was looking for a hearty Bun Rieu for breakfast and a Ca phe sua da! The Bun Rieu was super fresh, very savory and definitely the best I have eaten in quite some time! I can certainly see why locals say it is the best in the area. I think I may have found my new favorite place for Bun Bo Hue...and that's hard to accomplish especially since the consensus in the Vietnamese community is that there's one place that has the best Bun Bo Hue (Pho Tay Do). I think that is about to change. This location has undergone quite a few different ownerships that have failed due to not very good food being put out. However, I had heard that this newest restaurant, Pho Long, actually had some really good dishes so I wanted to give it a try. The restaurant wasn't super busy so our service was pretty good. Another thing that you notice is that it is pretty clean inside which is a huge plus for pho restaurants. I decided to order the Bun Bo Hue which was on their specialties menu and I'm really glad that I did. The food came out fairly fast and in addition to the entrée, they also include a side of sate (chili oil) and you can put in as much as you want instead of them giving you a set amount. Unlike other places, the broth is not very greasy and has this nice deep spicy flavor that is enhanced by the sate. The veggies on the side were super fresh as well as the spring rolls that we had ordered. The spring rolls were actually quite bigger than most places nowadays. I've since gone back a couple of times and ordered the same thing with the same results and now it's become my go-to place for Bun Bo Hue. Granted, that's the only thing I've eaten there so this review isn't very comprehensive of the restaurant as a whole but if you're looking for BBH, I'd highly recommend trying this place. read more

I love the #40 and #61 on their menu. I live close to Richardson and always had to drive to Garland for authentic Vietnamese food. A friend of mine told me about this place and I came in to try these two items and was pleasantly surprised how delicious they were compared to the many Vietnamese restaurants in Garland. Looks like I don't have to drive as far now for some home cooking. read more

Mr. G. and I love Vietnamese food. We had experienced some locally before our trip to Vietnam a few years ago, but have since made the cuisine part of our regular rotation of go-tos on the weekend. Pho An, despite being around the corner from our house, is new to us in the last few months. Their pho broth has great flavor and meat is always generous. I also love to mix it up with Vermicelli dishes and theirs are also great. Only negative here is twice our to-go orders have been missing the second meat for the pho. Really great service when you dine in too! read more

I had high hopes. It was cold, wet and dreary. Perfect weather for Vietnamese soups, any of them. The Bun Bo Hue looked promising. The Mi, Egg Noodle soup looked promising. We were hopeful. The Bun Bo Hue was... "eh" there was alot lacking from the meats and broth. The Egg Noodles were watered down. Overall, would I trek across Plano to try something else? Probably not. The service was also worth mentioning, it was slow and disorganized. While service wasn't rude or indifferent like back in OC, it was slow and painful. read more

This was some of the best pho I have ever had! Easy parking and super fast service. We were lucky enough to be some of the only people in the restaurant. The food came out almost immediately, and again, was unbelievably delicious. I had the chicken pho, and it was so flavorful! My friend and her daughter had the beef pho and they gobbled it down! I just had the best pho you can find in DFW! The restaurant is very spacious and welcoming. We started with some tofu spring rolls which I highly recommend to try. The pho was made to perfection, lots of vegetables and not just carrots and broccoli like most places. The portions were very generous and the service was impeccable. To top it all off we ordered Vietnamese coffee which gave us the caffeine boost we needed after eating all this amazing food. read more

Yep tried a new Pho place out today. We came in right before they were about to close around 7:50pm. The employees were very nice and kind. Tried the Chicken Pho and Spring Rolls. Very tasty and good. The broth was hot and flavorful. Spring Rolls weren't the best but they were still ok. I would come back and eat just the Pho again! Yum! read more

Found good reviews on yelp for this place. So we tried it tonight. I'm coming back!! Love this place! The egg rolls and spring rolls are amazing! And the pho!!!! Is delicious!! The service is great I love how this place feels homey. The food came out within 5-10 from when we ordered. The pho that ordered was with no meat and I loved it, the medium size is huge! Vegetarian vegetable pho & pho with meatballs and tenderloin = $15. Veg pho broth was flavorless but the veggies were delicious! Tofu in the soup was delicious. Tenderloin was good, not fatty. The meatballs were not good. Tasted like breakfast sausage. :/ Large portions, but could've used more of the mixins - sprouts, basil leaves, limes. This place changed hand a few time and I never once bother to try them out. After hearing my wife's coworker mentioned pho long a few time we decided to give it a try tonight. I'm very impressed, the place is clean, not like Tay Do and the service was excellent. I ordered the bun Rieu which I often craved for but didn't know where to order. It was delicious and they gave me good amount of everything in the bowl. Wife ordered bun Bo hue and it was very good too. She ordered regular and couldn't finish since they gave her so much food. The Bun Thit Nuong is FABULOUS. (As of 2/2019, this is V2 or V3 (with eggroll) on the menu. I judge all Vietnamese restaurants by this dish, and Pho An GETS IT RIGHT. They've earned their place as my favorite local Vietnamese restaurant. Soooooo good!!!! read more

This was legit food but he service was kind of brutal. They put some spring rolls down in front of us and then immediately came back and took them away and gave them to the table next to us. Our spring rolls were on the other party's table. Then, they brought my soup and put it in front of my friend who tried to confirm that it was supposed to be for him and they said it was. When the second bowl arrived, loaded with cilantro (the first bowl had none, as I had ordered it,) we just went with it. If they had come out closer together it would have been one thing, but the second bowl came out nearly ten minutes after the first and he had eaten a fair amount by then. I never did get the coffee I ordered. However, the waiter did apologize and said they were short handed that day. Also, the food was really pretty good (once I fished out most of the cilantro,) so I'll be back to give them a second chance. read more

Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu are both very solid choices. I've had BBH at other restaurants and not been a huge fan of the dish; however, the BBH here has turned my opinion around. This is the best Bun Bo Hue I've ever had. The soup is very fragrant and spicy, and the large size gave me enough leftovers for another small meal. My wife rated the Bun Rieu a solid 8, with the only better Bun Rieu available in Vietnam. We will definitely be back to get our fix of authentic Vietnamese food. read more

Great food and reasonable prices. We came here for lunch as a big group and everyone loved their food. I had the grilled pork chop with egg and it was delicious, although a tad bit sweet. Other people had pho da biet, chicken pho, grilled chicken rice plate, etc and they said it was pretty tasty. Service is quick and seats are plenty. What a nice little hole in the wall! read more

We heard of this place from a relative and tried it for the first time. My husband ordered Bun Cha Ha Noi and I got one of their specialties, Bun Bo Hue. They both were really good & exceeded our expectations. My husband thought the Bun Cha tasted better than La Me's (where we frequently go to eat this dish). Bun Bo Hue is better than at Pho Tay Do. We ordered banh mi dac biet (combo), almost $5 each first time 3 weeks ago and It was really good. We ordered again yesterday but 6 sandwiches this time. We got two slices of BBQ pork and two slices of Cha Lua / Gio Lua with regular garnishes (diakon, carrotss, jalapeno, and cilantro). They smothered it with lot of butter but not pate this time. The food is good and pretty authentic. I tried Grill Pork Vermicelli with Spring Rolls. As the other comment stated, the spring roll is crispy with delicious filling. My boyfriend is a big fan of Bun Rieu (Crab Soup Vermicelli), and he know how to cook it really well. He must confess that Bun Rieu here is really good. I am very guilty of judging restaurants pre-meal by how many people are dining there, and when Pho Long was empty @ 6pm I was very concerned. Much to my surprise the pho was AMAZING! Very hydrating and well seasoned. And it came out really quickly (maybe because no one else was there lol). Might be what you want to call a "best kept secret". read more

Wonderful family run local restaurant. The pho ga broth is homemade, rich, and flavorful without the salt. Plenty of thinly sliced white meat chicken. Love the pickled jalapeños on the table... and the condiment bottles on the table are all clean. Friendly service with good value. Looking to returning and trying the other dishes. My husband said his Americano was way too sweet, and surprised him that it was actually sweetened. His Americano had the same quality as gas station coffee. Our fault for assuming the Americano would come out as something other than what it should be despite of the "reg sweet" label. We walked in (it was freezing) and the whole place looked like a Disney-ified version of the original Big Dash. There was one woman working, and she was very friendly, but what a different experience than mingling with the original owners in the unpretentious cozy ambience. The worst part is that the ice cream is nowhere near as good! The original Arabic ice cream's level of rose water was off and the ice cream's stretchiness felt less organically created. The pistachio was OK. Our daughter got this crazy container of small individual frozen fruit shapes that were covered in chocolate. Those felt cute and special and we liked them all except for the grape. Again, we're happy for Bigdash's success. They deserve it. But we will not be back again because what we loved so much about this place is no longer. Tis the American way, alas! Three stars and sincere best wishes to them.

This is one of the yummy Vietnamese restaurants around Richardson area. I usually come here for lunch during weekdays. My go-to dish is Vermincelli noodle (5/5), around $9, the grilled pork is flavorful, eggrolls are yummy, noodles & veggies are fresh. They have good deal for lunch when you order noodle soup too. Their Vietnamese sub is also good (4/5). My colleagues had Pho & Vietnamese coffee, they were happy with their orders as well. Servers are very friendly. Nice place to dine in. Always a great experience at Pho An! Their pho is perfectly balanced; no need for extra seasoning, just veggies. And their bun bo hue is delicious too. Definitely worth a visit! Pho An has the best pho by far in the area!! (Gave their bun rieu a try as well the other day and LOVED it). The staff here is also very friendly, welcoming, and attentive.
