My husband and I went to it after 8pm today, Wednesday night. Saw 3 groups there. We got immediately seated. We ordered P1 and B1 as pictured. The food is good. Both of us like our noodles. We will back for other items in the future.

Great restaurant and delicious food. Stop by whenever I'm craving pho. Other Vietnamese dishes available.

I don't like to go too far for lunch since I only have 30 minutes. That being said, I was estatic when I discovered Pho & Grill conveniently located on the corner of Winton and Hesperian. I called and order their grilled pork spring rolls with peanut sauce. It took a little long to prepare, but it was Friday and they were really busy. The spring rolls were delicious! So delicious that I came back on Sunday with my husband to try their pho and rice plates! Both I highly recommend. This is my new favorite spot to have pho in Hayward.

I've been to Pho & Grill four times now because I wanted to try a few different dishes before giving my opinion. I have to say this has become one of my new favorite Vietnamese spots. I've tried their pho with beef ribs, bun bo hue, and bun rieu and all of them have been good. The pho with beef ribs was solid and the meat was really tender. The broth is decent and hits the spot. For bun bo hue, I still prefer Pho Seven down the street since their broth has more depth and you can really taste the lemongrass and umami. That said, Pho & Grill still does a good version. My favorite dish here is definitely the bun rieu. It's actually my favorite Vietnamese dish in general and I've had it all over the Bay Area. I would say this is my second favorite in the East Bay. My top spot is Da Nang and this is tied with Pho Auntie 7 before they unfortunately closed after a fire. What I really like about their bun rieu is the variety. It comes with ground pork meatballs, crab egg custard, fish cake, pork meatloaf, fried tofu, tomato, and pork blood. I usually order mine without the pork blood. The broth could use a little more umami and I do wish they served shrimp paste on the side, but overall it's still very satisfying. Another plus is that their prices are reasonable, especially for the quality and portions. I'll definitely keep coming back.

    HM5. Chicken Hu Tieu 8/10
    Darin T.

Ordered the Chicken Hu Tieu and on first sip it was slightly sweeter than I like, however after I added the aromatics (basil, pepper) veggies (bean sprouts, jalapeño, lime squeeze) it tasted much more balanced and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Chicken was tender and they give a good portion. Noodles came out a little al dente but softened up after a few minutes. Only strange thing is their chicken pho is in beef broth -- so I guess they don't make true Pho Ga here. Overall, great prices, inside was clean and service was quick. I'd def come back!

You'll never be short on options for Mexican Chinese or Vietnamese food in Hayward...the key is finding a good one! Pho & Grill is the newest addition serving appetizers (spring and fried rolls), pho, grilled items, rice vermicelli and specialty items like shaken beef...the usual Review is for spring rolls and egg rolls only! I was in the area and wanted something light and quick so ordered the fresh Vietnamese spring rolls made with lettuce, cilantro, cucumbers and rice noodles wrapped in rice paper. :: Nem Nướng Cuon - Grilled pork spring roll - nicely marinated sliced pork with some caramelization from the sugars in the marinade - delicious :: Thịt Bò Nướng Cuốn Bánh Tráng - thinly sliced grilled beef with hints of sugar, sesame oil, oyster sauce :: Chả Giò - fried eggrolls - ground pork with carrots, wood ear mushrooms, glass noodles, and served with bottled sweet chili sauce. Served with small pieces of lettuce and pickled carrots and daikon :: Thai Iced Tea - a bit sweet but good after letting the ice melt a bit. Fresh, flavorful rolls but prefer nước mắm (fish sauce, lime, sugar, garlic and chili) vs the hoisin peanut sauce or bottled sweet chili sauce that accompany the rolls Basic service of order, pay, wait. Place clean as new. Plenty of lot parking in the Winton Plaza next to Harbor Freight on the corner of Hesperian Blvd and Winton Ave. Will return to try other items and dine in.

Pho is all about that broth... beefy, aromatics depth in flavor and how well it slurps along with noodles. This broth hit all the notes! :) Bun Bo Hue - wow, the broth is different from regular beef pho. It has layers of flavors in the broth that include lemon grass and fish sauce. It's stinky makes it extra special! :) Beef Pho - everything I mentioned in my opening paragraph is all true, I would come back again and again to slurp up this broth :) Egg rolls - One of my favorite things to eat and this one did not disappoint. Crispy hot goodness! New pho restaurant in Hayward! And its tasty! NOTES: Plenty of parking in this tiny strip mall. Awkward entrance though. No U-Turn on Winton Street, so prepare to go around the entire block to get to this location.

This spot offers good value, but the flavors fell a bit flat. The pho was lacking in depth of flavor, though it did come with a very generous portion of noodles. The spring rolls were also pretty so-so--they didn't have much flavor, but they were edible. Overall, it's a budget-friendly place with great portions, but not the best option if you're looking for rich, authentic flavor.

Pho & Grill opened recently in the vacate Caspar's space. From afar, a large W on a protruding building structure indicates Pho is directly beneath it. Entered during a busy Sunday. All seats taken. Waited until 1 of the 13 tables within became free. The associates were literally running across the floor to service patrons. Once seated. I ordered. Food came 12ish minutes later. Coffee followed soon after. Offerings (usual Vietnamese eats): appetizers, pho, vermicelli, drinks, rice plates, rice noodles, egg noodles, vegetarian, fry dish, garlic noodles, fried rice, stir fried noodles, crispy noodles... Sips: hot Vietnamese coffee (5.50) -hot, slightly sweet from condensed milk. Came in paper cup, not in drip coffee dispenser. Pretty good. Slurps: Bun Bo Hue (Spicy noodle soup) L.14.95 -big bowl. Strong bone broth, not too hot. Took awhile to cook toppings: cilantro, jalepenos, red onions, bean sprouts, cabbage, basil. Lime squeeze to flavor. Broth enhanced by proteins, veggies, onions, condiments. Proteins: tendons, meatballs, slice beef biscuit, pork blood, pork loaf, partial pig feet. 4.5 stars. Worthy! Quality: fresh ingredients utilized. Quantity: pricing better than suburbs. *.50 cent charge on credit card usuage.

Pho & Grill just opened up beginning of this month in Hayward. My family were craving for Bun Bo Hue, so we wanted to give this place a try! Their service was pretty quick and the food presentation was nicely plated. For people who enjoys their bun Bo hue for its authentic spicy flavor, this place is for you! They already pre-added the chili spice for you, so the broth is spicy! The beef rib pho, was missing flavor, so adding a little bit of extra fish sauce will help bring the flavor out. Their Vietnamese coffee with condense milk was a perfect amount of sweetness and a lot of coffee flavor! Not overpowering! I definitely would come back to this location and try their other selections! Their restaurant is quite spacious and clean :)

Been here twice and will be our new favorite spot for Vietnamese food. Me and my husband love Bun Bo hue not sure if I spell right. The place is really clean the staff are helpful. I went there once for lunch time the place is packed and of course if you go to Vietnamese restaurant and full of Vietnamese or Asian you go to the right place. I highly recommend this place.

Wow! Finally a quality vietnamese restaurant in the East bay. Very affordable and great portion size. The bun bo hue is spicy, has a lot of meat, and the noodles were perfectly al dente. Their sate makes it even spicier which I NEED. Lotta places dont make bbh spicy at all but this spot w the sate is The pho was okay for me. fatty broth but lacking some flavor. However meats were really tender. Would definitely come back for BBH!

It's been a long time coming for a restaurant to open up inside this plaza. We're usually only here for Harbor Freight (right next door) but now we have another reason to stop by. We decided to swing by for a late lunch on a Saturday around 2:30pm and it was surprisingly not that busy. The inside was very spacious and clean. We ordered spring rolls and they were delicious. Crispy on the outside and very flavorful on the inside. We also ordered P1 & P2 (meat instead of short ribs and rare steak) and the broth tasted a bit watered down. The meats were tender and savory. My husband ordered the C2 combo and they forgot to give us the two fried chicken. The fried shrimp cake was the best from the entire dish. The three color dessert was tasty, but they added too much ice. Overall, it's a great restaurant, but I think they need to work out some kinks. I like that it's close by, so we can always stop by whenever we are craving Vietnamese food!

I was going to get Pho but the Bun Rieu looked pretty appealing and it's not a usual item to be offered so I opted for Bun Rieu. My daughter got garlic noodles with beef instead. Both items were very good and filling. I like the fact that I can choose the size of my Bun Rieu as most places only offer one size and it's usually for Pho rather than Bun Rieu. Might try their Bun Bo Hue next time. The place gets pretty packed around lunch time so it's a good sign that it's a popular joint for lunch. We arrived just after 12pm. The staff greeted us with a smile, answered our questions, and were friendly throughout the visit. I ordered a bowl of pho with a side of spring rolls, and both were delicious. Everything tasted fresh, the flavors were well balanced, and the portions were satisfying without feeling overly heavy. One feature I really appreciated was the ability to choose from a small, medium, or large bowl. It's a nice option whether you're looking for a lighter lunch or a hearty meal. There are still several menu items I'd like to try, so I'll definitely be back. My only suggestion is to be patient if you're driving because parking can be a challenge during busy times. Once you get inside, though, the food and service make it well worth the effort.

Regarding the viet coffee, this one was particularly strong, with a definite higher proportion of coffee to condensed milk that doesn't offend but also risks being a bit TOO strong (wild to say that when all viet coffee at its core is strong). Sips: Cafe Muoi Bien (sea salt foam Vietnamese coffee, 7)-Viet coffee, sea salt foam, condensed milk. -coffee didn't look full. No doubt foam on top shrank/mixed into coffee. -bold coffee with alternating sweet & salty tastes depending on sipping foam or condensed milk. Bites: Banh Trang Cuon (Vietnamese Special roll, 14). There's also a salad version with same ingredients & no wrapping. -dipping sauce had sweet & savory notes. -rice roll had dominant theme of beef jerky. The surrounding nuanced taste was a symphonic medley of carrots, quarter sectioned boiled eggs, coriander, green mango, dried shrimp, fried onions, peanuts & green mangos, 5 stars Worthy! Quality: freshly premade. Quantiy: ample enough for a meal. Would repeat. *Taste of Asia "passport" given to win prizes from buying from food vendors in Oakland Chinatown & San Leandro Asian businesses. May is Asian American Native Hawaiian & Pacific Islander Heritage Month
