Grilled chicken and a fried egg on broken rice
    Mary T.

Tips: - Cash and debit are accepted payment methods. - There is lots of parking in this plaza. I have seen a number of Pho Anh Vu restaurants open up in and around Markham and the surrounding area. I hadn't been to any of them. A recent Yelp event introduced this location in Mississauga to me. It's roughly a fifteen-minute drive from my workplace. This restaurant is next door to Crumbl. There is plenty of parking in this plaza. The Yelp event introduced me to these dishes: - Crispy spring rolls - Mango salad with shrimp - Chicken pho - Special beef pho - Grilled chicken with a fried egg on broken rice The crispy spring rolls were fabulous, especially with the dipping sauce. I want more! The prettiest mango salad with shrimp dish is at this eatery. The mango salad was piled up high with peanuts on top. The shrimp were grilled and sliced in half. Tasty! Everything was so fresh and yummy. The mango was not too ripe or unripe. Perfect! The chicken pho had yummy broth. The chicken had more bones than meat, which made me enjoy it less. Staff were good replenishing the broth, as I was eating something else and the broth was running low. The noodles were yummy. T The special beef pho came out. The broth was different. I felt that it didn't have star anise or good flavouring. It tasted earthy. I don't know if it was an off day. I had shared this pho with two friends. One of them got tripe that wasn't sliced, so I don't know if it was good. I only got beef. I didn't see anything else that would make this pho special. Thank goodness I had a lime wedge, mint, and bean sprouts. I used them in both pho varieties, but they were mandatory for the beef pho to add depth and flavour. The grilled chicken on broken rice was excellent. I loved the runny egg oozing onto the rice. The grilled chicken was flavourful and perfectly grilled. It was juicy. I loved it so much the first time that I returned to have it again. Delicious and a winner! Cash and debit are accepted payment methods. You pay at the counter. On my recent visit, I paid with a debit card. I tipped and tapped. Done! Staff were great getting whatever I needed and clearing everything off the table while dining in. They were fabulous. It's a decent eatery. I may return to try the beef and see if I can get my usual (rare beef and beef balls). Here's hoping that the broth is better. Otherwise, I'd be more than happy getting spring rolls, mango salad with grilled shrimp, and grilled chicken with a fried egg on broken rice. (213)

Modern and well-taken care of restaurant with clean and well-appointed washrooms. The Toronto location, however, was better food quality wise. Here, portions were large and beautifully presented, but the depth of flavour we have previously enjoyed was missing. High turnover may result in pho broth that is less rich and spiced, but it really does depend what time you go! Their signature rib soup was sold out, which was what we had come to experience.

From the outside, one cannot tell how much they spent on a "wow" factor on interior design. The middle area has a huge display of green glass lights all hanging from the ceiling. The counter area has glass birds hanging from the ceiling and a nice painting backdrop. On one wall, a nicely display of jade-like items, a symbol of good luck in Asian countries, and pictures. Near the washroom, there is a round table that has its own ceiling lights. The washroom is clean and well-designed too. All are unisex as you get your own sink. The place was packed for a Sunday lunch. The menu shows the pictures of items that one can order. They are on the pricier side for a Viet place. They gave us pan-dan tea in a Zoji thermos which is flavourful. The meal came quickly and it didn't disappoint. All the condiments were along the table so one does not need to ask for them. The spring roll was stuffed with other things that I wasn't used to, but I felt it was a bit too oily for me. The chicken was well done, but it could have been more flavourful if marinated first. One has to pay cash or debit, which is not convenient for all customers. Overall, it was a great experience.

    Mango salad with shrimp

The mango salad with shrimp is bright and refreshing, and the deep‑fried spring rolls are perfectly crisp without being greasy. I tried the broken rice dish for the first time and was genuinely surprised by how good it was , flavourful, well‑seasoned, and super satisfying. The pho also delivered with a clean, aromatic broth and tender noodles. Great service and delicious food. Will be coming back often!

One of my favourite Vietnamese restaurants to go to. Got the bun Bo hue with a side of spring rolls. The BBH was delicious and very flavourful. I like how they have jars of pickled garlic at every table and the food taste so much better with it.

Amazing! How am I only finding out about this place now!? I love it here! A friend brought me here recently and I'm super glad he did. The food here is so delicious and there was nothing I tried that I did not like. Although slightly more expensive than your typical mom and pop pho place, the premium is definitely worth it considering the taste. I tried the: (1) pho dac biet - classic. Have to try the signature pho and it did not disappoint. So flavourful even without the add-ons (2) bun bo hue pho dac biet - this was great! First time trying this hybrid style and I loved it! It is apparently only available fri, sat, sun (3) fish sauce chicken wings - yummy! No notes (4) rice roll platter with beef and spring rolls (forgot the name but I took a picture!) - this was my fav! 10/10. The meats were perfectly marinated and it was served with fresh veggies, including perilla leaves! Definitely coming back here! They have lots of locations around the GTA. Ambiance inside is also super nice.

Second location from the original owner! With so many locations popping up I was concerned the quality wouldn't be the same as the original location, but you're in luck, it is! We ordered a classic pho tai and rice platter and was happy portions/taste are very comparable to the original location. The spring rolls were crispy and pipping hot. As for the space, I would say it's very spacious with high ceilings. It can fit a large groups easily!

I didn't know this is a franchise. This is currently their newest location. They have remained consistent with their other shops. My group of 6 came in at 7pm and there was no wait for a table. The dining space is huge with friendly staffs and speedy service. We ordered our usual: fish sauce wings with sticky rice (a must, always!), beef muscle pho (can't get this anywhere else), mango salad w/shrimp, pho ga, Hanoi vermicelli w/grilled pork and fried spring rolls, pho special, and vermicelli platter with fermented shrimp paste. Their small noodle bowls are deceiving. It's really filling with lots of meat and noodles in a flavorful broth. I really like the addition of kaffir lime leaves in the pho ga and it comes with a dipping sauce for the chicken which you can also get it boneless. I can't say which dish was my favorite because they all are. Their complimentary herbal drink is also refreshing. No one else offers this. They accept cash or debit cards only.

A new Vietnamese restaurant in my neck of the woods? Yes, please! We showed up shortly after they opened for the day, and the place was already bustling. The restaurant had just opened a few weeks earlier, so I was wondering if the food might not be up to par yet. I needn't have worried. I always get Bun when I'm checking out a Vietnamese place for the first time, so I decided to go with the BÚN GÀ NƯỚNG, CHẢ GIÒ ("Grilled Chicken & Spring Rolls w/ vermicelli Noodles"). It's a fantastic spin on the venerable dish. It's a massive portion, too, and it's loaded with tasty flavors and textures. The chicken is cooked really well, although I wasn't crazy about the two or three bad pieces I had to spit into my napkin. I can see why Pho Anh Vu is already doing so well. It's a great addition to the area.

One of the best meals we had all year. Massive servings, beef rib soup was impressive and gave my son something new to eat. We will be back

The restaurant is nicely decorated, and within five minutes it was completely full. My dad ordered the specialty beef bone rice noodle soup. A second bowl came out just for the bone--holy moly! His only complaint was the noodles; he didn't care for the wide noodles. My sister got the bún bò Huế. The broth was excellent and approved by my parents, and it came with a generous amount of meat. My mom ordered bún cá and really enjoyed her meal. Each soup-based dish came with a plate of fresh vegetables. I ordered the grilled specialty platter. It was a lot of food, but everything was delicious. I also tried the salted iced coffee, which was just okay. They accept cash or debit only. The restaurant was spacious and could seat a lot of people, but from other reviewers on Yelp, this place can get very busy. We were seated immediately and service was prompt. The spring rolls were crispy, large, but lacked a bit of taste compared with other restaurants. Overall, both dishes were good as well as the service. I would return to try Pho next time.

Disco lighting fixtures and a tucked away stage lend the space an unexpected theatricality, as though it were built for celebration rather than mere sustenance. Despite the family's expansion into a sleeker downtown outpost, this original location retains a lived in charm no polished interior could replicate.
