    Vermicelli

This is my first time eating here. I don't expect too much until I ordered a bowl of Vermicelli. The food is amazing and the owner is also very enthusiastic. Highly recommend to come here.

We enjoyed the main dishes the two soups. The Tom yum was surprisingly delicious, well balanced, robust flavours, and satisfying. The second soup we ordered was the beef brisket and tendon. This had a hardy broth, and lots of meaty peices. The appetizers we ordered were fried tofu, which I would avoid. There was no added flavour, not even salt... it was sooooo bland. Very disappointed. The spring rolls were delicious, we had the pork fried spring rolls that were probably going to bring us back for a second trip just for them. The drink was a little sweet for me, but still enjoyable. Full body, full flavour. It was a little much with all of this food we ordered. But we enjoyed everything but the tofu. The staff were pleasant and the food was good. The place was clean and inviting. I'd recommend going to try the food here.

This has been my go-to place for take out Vietnamese food since moving into the area this year. Serving size is great and the food never disappoints. I always order the vermicelli with pork and chicken - I find that the vermicelli dishes here are amazing and I've never had a bad experience so far. I've also ordered soup dishes here before and never had a problem with them. Service is great here and food is always ready fairly quick after you make a take-out order.

Came here for lunch with coworkers - they said it is usually super crowded (pre covid) and were surprised that there was an empty table for us. Service was very fast, we wrote down our orders and received our food in maybe 10 minutes. They all ordered Pho Bo Tai Bo Vien (Rare beef pho and beef balls) and I ordered Bun Thit Nuong, Vermicelli with roasted pork and veggies. My coworkers loved the Pho and my meal was also tasty, the portion was HUGE which I loved. It's my favourite dish my mom makes so it's hard to top that but they came pretty close! Very solid location for lunch, I'd recommend it!

This place is definitely just okay. I came here to meet my bro for lunch. The place is clean and they have quick service. This is may be due to the offices near it so that when it's lunch time, all the office workers are here. They have quick service so that's an added plus. My bro and I shared deep fried spring rolls, fresh shrimp rolls, and I ordered a satay beef vermicelli. The spring rolls were good, the shrimp rolls were also good except for the sauce. It wasn't that peanut-ey. My entree was not as flavourful. I had imagined it would have fish sauce too but it didn't, which was okay if there was lots of satay sauce but it wasn't enough for the dish to cover. All in all this place is okay.

This place keeps getting worse and worse, while their prices just keep getting higher and higher. I had major Vietnamese food cravings, and came here for the grilled chicken bun to satisfy them. When we went, there was a line waiting to be seated. There were empty tables inside, but none had been cleaned in time. The waiters appeared to be too "busy" to serve us. Even as we were seated, it took them a while to give us our drinks and menus. Three people in our party ordered pho, and all three portions arrived... without any of the accompanying sides. When we pressed them for the herbs, the vegetables came in a tiny portion, barely enough for the three people. The size of my portion has increased since the last I came, which is fair considering their prices have also increased. The chicken was marinated well, and slightly charred. It was a little drier than I would have liked, but oh well. My sister and mom ordered a rice with fried fish and grilled chicken to share. Similar to my chicken, theirs was likewise dry. That being said, they really enjoyed the fish and said it was well executed. The standard of service has definitely declined, which is sad because it wasn't good before. I'm not sure if it was because we came on Labour Day and they were understaffed, but the young waiters (seemingly high school aged) could barely handle everything. Likely won't return unless all other pho places are full.

Had to pick up a package at Staples and decided to get some grub. Decide to go to Pho Mi 99 as Pho is a go to for some filling and affordable lunch. I got a beef tripe noodle soup as always. The price for a large is $13.29. The service was relatively fast. The packaging is good. Just a note is that they only accept cash or debit so better have those handy. There were some patrons for dine-in but I preferred to just do a take out and eat at home. As with other pho restaurants, this location is at par so if you're around the area and looking for pho. Edit in my review there was no tripe in the order:(

We've been coming to this location of Pho Mi 99 for several years. To be honest, this place has been hit and miss over the years. When they first opened, they were pretty good and we visited a couple of times a month. Over the years though, they started to go downhill and cleanliness was an issue. We noticed a few things that really didn't sit well with us and the bathrooms weren't always clean. This was enough to keep us away for a couple of years. Recently we decided to give them another try and we're glad we did. The interior has undergone a renovation and looks much nicer, more contemporary and cleaner. The bathrooms were also cleaner on both visits (we've been twice in 2 weeks). So, I'm now confident in recommending this restaurant. The food is consistent with other locations of Pho Mi 99. In our past couple of visits we've tried the vermicelli, a couple of soups and a rice dish. All were good, tasty and piping hot when they arrived. The soups had plenty of meat/fish in them and the vermicelli had lots of veggies (always something we enjoy). The spring rolls (part of the vermicelli dish) were nice and crispy and made the correct Vietnamese way with rice paper instead of a wheat wrapper. The service is on par with most local Viet. restaurants and the prices are pretty good for the quality and quantity of food. We'll definitely be returning.

So excited to eat it that I only got a picture of the condiments plate.

I am always a sucker for a bowl of pho in any weather. I'm an even bigger sucker when it comes to trying a new pho place that came highly recommended by some friends that lived in the area. You step into the restaurant and you can smell the beef broth in the air. The place is bright, clean, high ceilings, and even a TV in the corner playing The Food Network. Naturally, the litmus test of any good pho restaurant is their house beef noodle soup special. When the beef noodle soup arrived, it was steaming hot and I was very excited to give this a try. The first sip of the beef broth was really light and flavourful. It was very clear and had a little shimmer to it. All the meats in the bowl were perfectly cooked when it was served. The beef slices were just slightly pink and plunging it into the hot broth did the trick. I forgot to ask for fresh noodles but the regular noodles quickly softened and were happily slurped up. They provided the regular plate of accompaniments of bean sprouts, lime, chilis, and mint leaves Tip #1: if you are wary of the bean sprouts, you can ask them to quickly heat them through before they serve it to you. Overall, I really like this place and when passing through Mississauga wouldn't hesitate to make a lunch/dinner stop here.

I haven't come here for a while. It's a chained Vietnamese restaurant. I used to go to another location often but after the taste of the pho declined and the cleanliness of the dining place got worse, I stopped to go any of these stores. Since my partner insisted to go, we re-visited this place recently. This time, I ordered the grilled chicken with a fried egg and a steamed egg. The way it looks like similar to the one from 'I Love Pho'. However, the portion is smaller on the grilled chicken. The surface/skin of the steamed egg is dried up, so it tastes like a hard shell covered on top of the rest steamed egg. My partner ordered the beef balls rice noodles. They served the food very quickly, which is common at other Vietnamese restaurants regardless. The soup base is a bit turbid as you may find in the photo related to this visit on my post. I would say the quality and the taste is about average. However, my partner had a stomachache at night. We are not sure if it is caused by the soup base or the meat. The price used to be very cheap which I believe it attracted many customers who were usually dinning out like me. Unfortunately, I found the price is pretty much the same now compared to the other similar restaurants. The competitiveness is drastically dropped. After this visit, I am sure my partner won't ask me to go here again.

We went to have dinner and they let us to go to pick our booth to sit. After few minutes we sit, it seem they forgot about us until we had to calling them to take the ordering. We ordered beef soup and spring roll. The spring roll souce came didn't even. In mean time we eat your food, the employee cleaning floor near our table and you can imagine you eating food and smell bleach in same time is awful. Overall after the food, they forgot about us and smelling bleach , I'm not sure if we will coming back.

We were planning to host an evening with friends and family at this location, but unfortunate news had struck within our family and we had to cancel. We asked if it was alright to get our $250 deposit back to help alleviate some of the funeral expenses. She declined and constantly pried into our family situation and was very adamant on trying to push this dinner to another time. We thought it was extremely unprofessional and showed an extreme lack of sympathy and empathy. Gopika rudely challenged us and fought tooth and nail to keep our $250. Eventually we had to give up and let them keep our $50 because it was too unbearable to spend more time and energy in this time of need. Jegachandra Retnarasa was of no use either, you might as well have not even butt in. This restaurant is ran by people who do not care about you and would sell their humanity for $50.

Food comes out within ~5 minutes - very fast! The menu is quite extensive. They have a wide variety of teppanyaki rice sets available, as well as noodles, mini hot pot (including individual servings), and various drinks and Asian desserts. I love that you can customize each dish by adding the add-ons (additional ingredients). You can even "build your own teppanyaki set" by choosing the carbs, sauce, protein(s), and add-ons (including vegetables). We only tried the teppanyaki rice sets this time around. The Sizzling Japanese-Style Assorted Vegetables consisted of cabbage, green pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, and corn. This was listed under "snacks" category, and we thought it would be a good veggie dish accompaniment to the other main dishes. I found it to be very salty and saucy. It had an aftertaste that I didn't really like. The pieces of green pepper, zucchini, and mushrooms were very small, that you could barely taste them. It was mostly white cabbage shreds and corn. The 3 teppanyaki rice sets (including one deluxe set) were good. The Jumbo Unagi Teppanyaki Rice was one of my favourites - the unagi there was "jumbo" indeed (biggest and longest I had ever seen that was served with a rice set in a restaurant). I liked that it wasn't doused with too much unagi sauce wich tends to be sweet and sticky. There was a good amount of meat in the unagi as well. Salmon & Shrimps Teppanyaki Rice Set and Seafood Rice Set (salmon, scallops, shrimps) were also decent. The Seafood Rice Set (considered a deluxe menu item) had a bigger and better salmon compared to the thin salmon slices in the Salmon & Shrimps Teppanyaki Rice Set. The shrimps and scallops were pretty good (there were more shrimps than scallops). All dishes came with corn and green onion, and you can choose to add extra add-ons such as cabbage, green pepper, zucchini, mushrooms, garlic bits, extra protein, etc. As garlic lovers, we added extra garlic bits to every teppanyaki set that we ordered. Overall, good food and fast service. I wish the Sizzling Japanese-Style Assorted Vegetables dish wasn't so salty, and came with more / bigger pieces of the actual vegetables rather than just mostly corn. But the other teppanyaki rice sets were good value.

We recently reminisced about going to Bao Sandwich Bar for lunch between interviews at the University of Waterloo. I had mentioned to him that it had a second location in Mississauga, roughly a fifteen-minute drive from our workplace. He said that when we were both in the office, he'd only want to go there for lunch with me. It's nice that he trusts my judgment when it comes to eateries. I also believe that he likes my company. A couple of Wednesdays ago, he asked what I was doing for lunch. I normally hit Treats nearby. He wasn't feeling it. I said that we could go here and provided some details, including its online menu and such. I also asked him if he had any meetings. I'm that type of a planner, down to the departure time. He was game. I said that we should leave at 11:15 am. The place opens at 11:30 am. He had a meeting at 1 pm. I wanted a leisurely, unrushed lunch. Done! I drove us over there. With my lead foot, it was more like thirteen minutes, without hitting any highway. Like the Bao place in Waterloo, this one is also located on a lower level of a plaza, with a tall building at the top of this hill. I parked in front of the eatery. We walked in. We were the first customers. It looks like the place kept some of the seating from the previous business that occupied the place. The upholstery looked shabby. Otherwise, the rest of the eatery was spruced up. I got a combo consisting of these items: - Crackle belly bao - Korean garlic chicken bao - Purple flower lemonade - Dynasty duck poutine My manager got the following items: - Dynasty duck bao - Thai yum pork bao - House salad - Thai tea I took a star away because I wasn't expecting my order to be $40! It was okay for the large portion of dynastic duck poutine that I got. It was rather steep. You won't see me eating here every day. I split the poutine with my manager, so it was okay. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was smooth. It didn't take long for our food to be ready. The woman who had taken our orders was nice to bring the food to our table. I have always loved the crackle belly bao. It was equally as delicious here as it was in Waterloo. The pork belly was tasty and perfectly seasoned. The bao was nice and malleable. The veggies provided a nice contrast. I loved it. I tried the Korean garlic chicken bao. It was heavenly. The sauce was spicy and garlicky. The chicken had a crispy exterior and was juicy inside. It's nice having another decent bao to call my favourite. The purple flower lemonade was delicious. I normally don't like sweet lemonade. This version had a touch of sweetness that I enjoyed. This drink's colour was also pretty to look at. My manager enjoyed his food. He oddly doesn't like green vegetables, so I saw him pick out the cilantro and green onions. He felt that the sauces were mixed up. His Thai yum pork bao wasn't spicy. The dynasty duck that he has had in the past was oddly spicy. We had a baseline of the dynasty duck poutine that wasn't spicy to compare. Even with the sauce mix-up, he still enjoyed everything. His side salad had a bit of a spice kick, so he was happy. I loved eating here. It was a nice, casual lunch with yummy food. I wish that it were cheaper. However, the quality was excellent that I'm okay shelling out for it as someone who likely won't be dropping by weekly. (67)

My order of the tandoori chicken dumplings and steamed chicken dumplings, which came with 6 pieces each, total was $25.28.

Went to their grand opening thing today, got there early, few customers already, place was humming,…read moremusic loud, nice vibe, but....food came in 10 minutes, because buddy was hussling, but that was the problem, food came too fast, because the dumplings, were underdone, $5 for a combo, rice and chili chicken and noodles and chili chicken, but the portions were tiny, I mean just barely worth $5 so not even a good deal, the rice seems to be a mixture of lightly fried rice and white basmati, no flavor, the noodles were basically white, no wok fry, barely any sauce, no flavor, the chili chicken was fine, tasty, and tangy spicy, sweet spicy, but like I said barely any of it, everything was slopped into the container, and like I said barely any of anything. The dumplings came with a salad that was basically just cabbage, so crunchy, no taste, no dressing, at all, like squeeze some juice/dressing of any kind, so no attention to detail here, at all, the chili chicken was great though, just wish I didn't three orders for a satisfying lunch, literally 3 x $5 was necessary for one person, so, good luck,
