I eat at this restaurant at least once a week. I have never found anything wrong with any of the food that they serve. This is a nice family run restaurant with amazing wait staff and people who take great care of their customers. I consider myself an experienced Pho eater and I believe this is some of the best Pho in Seattle. I also believe that all of the latest claims of people being sick from eating at this restaurant are mean spirited and obviously a couple of them are fake. My fiancé and I decided to check this place out. We showed up slightly after they opened at 12 and they were busy! We ordered brisket pho, beef salad rolls, and I got an order of the iced coffee. The pho was delicious and they gave us a great amount of ingredients. I find too often that a place will give you maybe 3 or 4 pieces of meat, but this bowl had a ton of ingredients! The salad rolls were so delicious and each piece had thin crispy pieces of beef in it, probably the best rolls I've ever had. My coffee was not all the way full, and if I am paying $4 for that little cup I wish it had been slightly full! The taste made up for the little bit of space though, super tasty coffee. they are open 6 days a week now for take out. I love every single dishes on the menu, but my favorite is the vegan pho which comes with a ton of veggie ( broccoli , bok-choy and mushroom ) and tofu. I can eat the vegan pho everyday :) read more

A-Ok food, nice homely atmosphere. Prompt service and as helpful as possible with our high maintenance, multi-kid, mixed personality party. Monkey's go-to Chicken Pho is offered with beef broth? Um no. Monkey do: #16 GRILLED PORK & EGGROLL VERMICELLI- good, gave away half the noodles, mix with fish sauce and commandeered remaining veggies from everyone's pho, making a decent dinner. As busy as our table was, place your fish sauce cup away from your tea cup. I'm just sayin'... Staff is hauling ass from kitchen to tables with big hot bowls of soup. If you get in their way, they will yell at you to get the FUCK out their way. So cute! Very limited parking on side of building and street. Monkey do for logistical reasons. i`ve been here a couple of times after my first initial review and i have to admit, i TRIED to like it and keep thinking that maybe it'll get better. WRONG. why, pho aroma? i tried so hard to like you, but i can't. i'm even more quite offended by the sign about small children. some people interpret it as them not wanting hot soup to spill on little kids, but i've been to a fair number of pho joints in my life and i have never experience or seen a case that hot soup does pour on the child. it is insulting to say, as a parent. this is a PHO joint for crying out loud. why should we patronize a place that does not welcome our children? you won't miss out much if you drive pass this place. read more

Still in search of that perfect bowl of pho, this had become my go to spot after checking out at least 8-10 other places between West Seattle and Renton. It's better than those, but still trails my all-time benchmark, Pho No. 1 in San Francisco. Pho ga (chicken) is always my benchmark. It can be tough, because most places use white meat, so there's usually a risk that the meat will be dry. This place does better than most, but it's still simply OK. This week, I finally made it to Pho White Center, and I think that may have supplanted this place as our go to. This place is just fine in a pinch. Pretty tasty. The Chuoi Chien (AKA fried banana with creamy coconut milk and peanuts) was amazing. Mmmm The owner was working hard and very friendly. This place was pretty busy too. Apparently he and his wife once owned the Lemongrass restaurants in the ID and now own Pho Aroma in West Seattle. He spoke about remodeling this winter and having outdoor seating available when the remodel was done. The pho was flavorful, a bit on the oily side but really hit the spot. Can't wait for more dessert there though....super delish. Tip: If you just want a Banh mi Sandwich, they will not accept your togo order over the phone. You must just order in person and wait, unless it is for more than 4 sandwiches.. read more

Excellent broth, one of the best I've had! It really makes it. The beef is always delicious, toppings always fresh. The ambiance is lovely too, I love all the plants, it makes it so cozy in there. I almost don't want to let people know about this amazing place on Delridge. It's a tiny space, and sometimes there is a wait during peak hours, but honestly we've never waited more than 5 minutes for a table. We've gone to many pho restaurants, this is by far our favorite. The broth is flavorful - way better than Than Bros (way too sweet) and others that just taste like water. Great beef portions in generous serving sizes - the few times I've ordered a large bowl I've regretted it - a small is perfect for most. Their banh mi are also delicious. Some folks have complained that the noodles are bunched at the bottom, but that's pretty typical of pho - just stir and you're fine. The service is also top notch - always friendly and fast. Some reviews claim of yelling and rude staff - we have *never* seen this and we go all the time. It's clearly a family business - they close for 2 weeks every year for vacation, which I admire and like supporting small family businesses. read more

When my fiancé and I show up to Pho Aroma, we are always welcomed in and seated promptly. Staff are nice and attentive. Service is very quick! The owners are great; I love how they decorate the restaurant during holidays. Halloween decorations are my favorite because the owner will prank guests in a very light-hearted way. We always order pho with rare steak and fresh spring rolls. The pho is consistently very flavorful and delicious. The side of pho fixings (e.g. bean sprouts, basil, limes, and jalapenos) is always fresh. The fresh springs rolls are so good, too! In a nutshell: I have had a lot of pho in Seattle but this is my absolute favorite place to go, hands down. I look forward to going here at least once a week. read more

The chicken spring rolls were fresh and crispy. The sauce was delicious. The chicken pho was delicious. The service was fast and friendly.

Had I never eaten inside this restaurant, this review would be five stars, easily. Let me tell you about my takeout experience first. My order has never been wrong. I expect that my order will be wrong about 50% of the time based on my experience with other pho places (I order vegetarian pho with soft tofu and fresh rolls with fish sauce. They always fry the tofu and give me peanut sauce) but Pho Aroma has never gotten my order incorrect. I call in my order and it's ready five minutes later when I arrive. The Vegetarian Pho has tofu (so much better soft), bok choy, broccoli, mushrooms and cabbage. Thank you to the Yelpers for warning me that the fresh rolls (called "salad rolls" here) had a crunchy little bit in the middle, or I would've mini-panicked. The broth is very flavorful and delicious. I'm not sure if they use a vegetarian broth or not, but I suspect they do. It doesn't have that standard "Campbell's Chicken Noodle" flavor that the other ones do. Every time I've had a to-go order, the service has been exceptional and friendly. Honestly, I kinda wish I had never dined in, because my dine-in experience soured my perception. Originally, I had called in the order "to-go" when my husband and I found a last minute babysitter, so we decided to dine in. Wanting to show my husband my cool pho restaurant, I walked him in and we stood at the counter while the counter-person reconciled the receipts and order slips. He stood there, stapling receipts to order slips and didn't look up at us. We stood there for a total of two minutes and he finally acknowledged us. I explained to him that I had called in a to-go order but would like to dine in. He gave us a "look" and said my order was "really old" and I had ordered it "a long time ago" (15 minutes, which was the time quote he gave me) and it would be "cold." He explained to me that "when you order take-out food, you take it home and normally warm it up." Not so-of the nine other times I'd eaten here, I had never once had to warm it up- I had to leave it open to cool it down. The waiter seemed annoyed and I didn't really care; I worked in the restaurant industry for six years and our request wasn't uncommon. The waiter told us "we'll have to reheat your whole order" as if we were asking him for his left leg. My husband said "I really don't care if it's cold, you don't even have to put it on plates, we just want to sit at a table." The waiter said nothing, brought the food into the back and someone else seated us. A few minutes later, our reheated food was brought out to us (way too hot) and we were given water and tea. It was the last encounter with our waitress. During our 20 minutes there, the waitress ran around like a chicken with its head cut off and wiped tables, did miscellaneous tasks, ran in the back, outside...everywhere but our table. There were only two other tables in the entire restaurant. Our water was never refilled and we couldn't seem to get our waitress' attention. Seriously? Was our request really that bad? Finally, I went to the front to get our check and the girl couldn't find it. The guy made sure to point out that it was "supposed to be to-go," just to remind us of the torture we had put him through. My husband's stir fry noodles were "average" according to him. DO NOT get the fried tofu- it tastes like everything people hate about tofu. Also, I noticed a sign that said "parents, please be considerate of other diners," as if parents would disregard other diners unless there was a sign posted. The sign author must not have kids. I was very saddened by my dine-in experience, as this was my favorite pho place. I'll come back, but only for carry-out orders. read more

I haven't got the chance to write a review since I've been so busy! On April 4th, I have came here with a group of family around 10-15 people after my mother's funeral. I found this place on yelp and saw good reviews and decided that we should check this place out. Apparently they wouldn't let us move tables to sit next to each other and said it would get in the way and that we all had to sit at different tables. So we tried to add more chairs at the table we were sitting at and they still wouldn't let us and said no... But it was so dead, there was only two tables taken inside the restaurant. They had terrible lack of communication and were rude. They gave us a rude vibe as if they didn't want us to be there, so we ended up getting up to leave. Well that was a lost of a 60 bucks for tip! The next place we ate it, thats what we tipped the server. This place sucks. I felt like they were judging us. I'm never coming here again. read more

My girlfriend and I have been here twice. Both times we ate here, she ordered a small Pho Combination and I ordered a large Pho Combination. Portion sizes for both was pretty good. Broth was nice and flavorful, but nothing amazing. There was a decent amount of brisket, but not much rare beef. We also ordered spring rolls the first time, and grilled pork rolls the second time. Both rolls were bland. The major issue I have with this restaurant is the service. The two times we have been here to eat in, we have been totally ignored while tables around us and right next to us were attended to. The guy who I believe is the owner offered hot tea and asked how the food was to everybody else around, but us. Both times. I have to add that over 95% of the clientele here are Caucasian. We are Asian. I am not sure what his deal is, whether he is intentionally catering to the Caucasian crowd or if he dislikes Asians, but we did not feel comfortable and he made no attempts at offering us any type of service each time. Also, after we paid each time he barely acknowledged us or smiled. Not even a Thank You. Keep in mind, we left a tip both times. Needless to say, we will not be coming back here. The Pho is decent...not the best we have had and definitely not worth the lack of service and discomfort we felt while eating here. read more

Best pork Bahn Mi of my LIFE. I picked one up on my way back from Vashon a few weeks ago and it was AMAZING! The perfect amount of spice and heat and bread and fresh veg. YUM. I had planned to eat only half but I happily ate the whole thing. But then, I was super hungry at the time so maybe I was being generous? Then today I returned and snagged another grilled pork Bahn Mi to go - and good thing, because the place was completely packed full at lunchtime on a Friday. So I took my sammie to go and headed back to the Fauntleroy ferry line. Bahn Mi #2 was just as EPICALLY GREAT as the first one. (And in between visits I had tried a different place to compare - and the pork Bahn Mi from the other place was not even close to as scrumptious as those from Pho Aroma.) Definitely check it out ! Went to Pho Aroma tonight with my friend. We ordered Pho takeout. We got home, put our soups together and started eating them. Towards the end I noticed a staple in my soup. I called to let them know because this could have really hurt someone if they bit on it. The manager said that they staple the bags together and that it much have fallen into the soup. He told me to be more careful opening the bag and that they had been stapling the bags for four years. He was friendly but had an assertive tone. The soup comes in separate containers that I opened once they were outside of the bags so I can't see how a staple could have fallen into the containers that were closed. I probably won't eat there again. Soup was good but we both got three small pieces of meatball and very little meat. We ordered the large. Watch out for staples... read more

Im so not going back to this place. Me and my boyfriend just got out from this place 1 1/2 hour ago and we start having diarrhea! He ordered a vegetarian pho and i ordered the vietnamese crepe, and 2 coconut juice. The foods taste ok, not special. Our bill came out to 29.30ish and i paid with my card. When the receipt came to me, it says 30.38 ,, so they added 1$ by them self. It was not a pleasant dinner for us. With a wife from Vietnam you eat a lot of Vietnamese food, in my case you cook it but there are times you want to experience someone else's passion. I liked what I felt at Pho Aroma. The pho is legit, though southern style, you can taste the bone in the broth not some concentrated salt cube. The meat is tender added just at the right time as to finish cooking through when the bowl arrives at the table. The other dishes are rich in flavor, I would recommend the bo luc lac when in a rice mood. Very fresh. I have yet to try the bun or banh xeo though they looked good. Only bummer was the banh my is almost $5 regardless. There are some items overt priced but over all not bad. read more

2nd time was definitely not a charm. This time I tried their banh xeo and nem nuong goi cuon. I was so utterly disappointed with what I put in my mouth. The nem nuong had no flavor what so ever. I tried it with and without the sauce to see if there was flavor but bland was all I could taste. The banh xeo was not the greatest either. All bean sprouts and maybe 1 shrimp and a few pieces of pork. My friend talked me into giving this place another try because he liked it but I should have stuck with my gut feeling and went somewhere else. I will not be trying this for a 3rd time. read more

I have had Pho from here for a while now and it is always SO GOOD! Came here during Halloween and had a blast with all their decorations and little "pranks" they played on the guests. It was truly a really fun experience. I've had some of their meat and rice plates and they are the BOMB! It reminds me a lot of my auntie's cooking in the Philippines. I know Filipino cuisine is different from Vietnamese, but there are similarities that often remind me of my second home. The service is always great and I always feel welcomed. I had been hearing good things about this place from a co worker so a friend and I stopped by on a Thursday night for dinner. I ordered the Pho Chin Bo Vien (Brisket and Meatballs) and the Thit Goi Cuon (Spring rolls with meat) (only because the Nem Nuong Cuon was all out :[) The spring rolls were okay...they were filled with veggies and the little roll of egg roll wrapper added a really nice crunch. The peanut sauce was not very good which is, in my opinion, the most important part. I also might be biased because I make a really mean peanut sauce. The Pho was pretty standard and was very filling for a Small bowl. The broth was good and the noodles were fresh. I also appreciated that the bean sprouts were fresh because they can be hit and miss at other places. The decor is nice and the place is clean which sometimes isn't the case for other Vietnamese places. Pho Aroma is a nice safe choice for Vietnamese food. read more
