Their portions are large, their broth is so delicious, and the home made limeade is hiding on the menu that no one thinks to order is their best kept secret. Quiet little Pho shop with friendly staff and solid pho. Stopped in about an hour before closing on a Friday. There were only a few other people there so we were seated immediately. Our server was very courteous. We each ordered the combo pho and it came out quickly with additional toppings and sauces. To be honest, this is the first time either of us had had pho. We were both really impressed! It was a tasty broth and we both spiced it up with some jalapeños and Thai basil. It was just the right amount of comfort we were looking for in a late dinner. Horrible and disgusted experience here everyone. I would rather dine inside the arco gas station down the street than ever come here again. As soon as my family set foot inside the restaurant. We were greeted by the most rudest waiter I've ever seen. He immediately gave us an attitude and the way he spoke to us made us very uncomfortable. Additionally, while taking our orders he was rushing me. I felt pressured and decided to randomly choose the first thing that my eyes locked on. While waiting for our meals to arrive we watched our waiter walking around asking how other tables were doing and checking on them as we were tucked away in a corner. I quickly realized we stood out because our party were Vietnamese and everyone else weren't. I felt disappointed and was hopeful that they would be more welcoming. When my food arrived I thought I was paying for a happy meal. I ordered rice with pork chop and a fried egg. Normally when I ordered the same dish I would not be able to finish it and have Togo the rest home. If anyone is planning to order the same dish. Please request for the adult size menu. Water was not refilled. I am glad I brought my hydro flask with me because this restaurant didn't bother to care enough to ask if I need more water. I truly hate writing bad reviews.. Especially for my people. But, I hope this review shines a light here. I would love to support local businesses but my family and I will be taking our business else where. First visit. Ordered the combo stir fry with crispy noodle. Out comes this beautiful platter with bok choy,pork, shrimp, chicken and broccoli. Sauce was amazing. It was delicious. I want to start this review by saying I am not a pho expert, nor have I had very many different phos. My husband and I ordered a few things to go, but I wish we would have eaten in for the first experience here. We ordered a small raw beef pho, which was plenty for two of us to share. We also ordered the pork vermicelli bowl and the stir fry noodles with all the meats. I loved the pho! They send it home with the meat raw, so make sure you bring the broth to a boil and then add the meat so it cooks. Like I mentioned, we ordered a small and it was a great size. I really enjoyed the pork that came in the vermicelli bowl. But i did not love the stir fry noodles and was not eager to eat them for leftovers. We will definitely be back for pho! read more

As a Vietnamese American who grew up in Orange County & San Jose (The area most condensed Vietnamese population and the area with the most Vietnamese people) I was scared that Seattle wouldn't have Vietnamese food that wasn't as good. Pho Aroma relieved me of that fear and you can even smell the grilled pork before you even enter the restaurant. They surprisingly have the best Banh Mis that I've had in Seattle so far and it even surpasses shops that specialize in only making Banh Mis. One of the top 3 best shaken beef or lemon grass beef I've ever had. The beef was juicy and tender as you bite into the cubed beef slightly caramelized outside cushioning your bite to release the sweet juices inside. The seasoning was phenomenal. Finely balance sweetness. The thing I liked most was that it didn't have the tanginess of citrus acid which is commonly added to this dish. Smooth. No turbulance from the tanginess of citrus acid. This is the best Pho is Seattle hands down no question. Its a family owned small restaurant but its the best Pho Ive eaten at in the whole King County Area. The soup makes a huge difference. Its not water down like some places, even some "fancy" nice looking Pho places the soup is just so bland compared to theirs. Living just down the road I used to be a regular before I moved, 2 to 3 times a week. Now whenever I get the chance I drive just to eat the Pho here. However thats not the only good dish. The sandwiches are tasty and what Viet sandwiches should be. They also have some good portions in their combo rice plates. I dont think Ive had a bad meal or dish here yet. The owner and his wife are really nice. They know many of their regulars and even some of their staff know what you want to order before you order it. Its close to South Seattle Community College and this area doesnt have a lot of good places to eat so its generally packed for lunch and dinner, come early. The decor is nice and they really do it up especially for Halloween. My only gripe would be the parking in the area. read more

Ooooookaaaayyy. I don't post. It's not my thing. However, I was a bit apprehensive given the lower reviews. I'm visiting from Sacramento, CA and we have a BUTTLOAD of Viet Cuisine. I decided to give it a shot. I walked a mile .. about half way there it started POURING!! Then I found a little community garden and checked it out getting more soaked. I trudged on now wanting some pho. Let me tell you, it was PHOking worth it and spectacular. Great fast service and all the ingredients were fresh. I feel a need to share this as I can't understand the low reviews. It's amazing and if you're in this part of town stop and get a bowl. Stock is light and well balanced not overly salty at all. I'm happy I walked in the rain for this. It was well worth it and I'll walk back in the rain satiated and satisfied. Don't listen to the nay Sayers. You go! You eat! You love! Deuces! read more

The shrimp spring rolls were fine, but the peanut sauce was slightly sour? The sauce wasn't creamy or peanutty enough--if that makes sense. Ordering over the phone was easy, and they understand vietnamese. The food was ready on time, and parking was available on the side of the building. I wish this place was amazing because it's in my neighborhood but it's pretty lackluster. The service is good. The lemongrass tofu is good. The vegetarian tofu pho is good and comes with broccoli and baby bok choy (but is a bit bland). The seasoning of food is really lacking. Also their peanut sauce is the worst I've ever had. They serve you a generous portion of it, but it's obviously watered down and very bland. I'd rather get a much smaller portion of rich, not-diluted peanut sauce. Their tofu fresh salad rolls come with a crunchy thin breadstick in the middle, which I personally hate. It's in the middle of a kind of skeevy part of Delridge so you might not notice it at first. But once you're inside you'll be very soothed and impressed by the warm inviting decor. The family that owns this place lives upstairs so that they can put a lot of attention into the food and it shows. The owner was telling me that he was up at two in the morning getting his broth going and that his wife is often in the kitchen at 5 AM. That is some serious dedication to your food! The spring rolls are huge with fresh ingredients and a fresh tasting wrapper. The bun and pho come in good sized portions and the meats are well cooked and flavorful. LIke others I would prefer that they just leave the condiments on the table, in our case they completely forgot to bring them and when I did ask, I only got a bottle of Siracha. OMG their PHO is amazing. I've been many, many times and on several occasions they've had boiled beef bones out front for folks to take home to their dogs. I know this sounds weird... but to me it shows they're the real deal when it comes to Pho. Just look at the picture of my Pho with rare beef. The broth is a rich deep brown color. That only happens when beef bones have been simmered for hours and hours, hence the bones by the door. Ah ha! This restaurant is in a bit of an odd location... but the Delridge neighborhood is transitioning and is really trying to clean itself up. Pho Aroma is certainly worth the trip. Everything that I've tired has been amazing, and the prices are dirt cheap. They are generally very busy during lunch and dinner hours, but the service is quick so they're able to turn tables pretty fast and get you seated. I love Pho Aroma!! read more

Best Vietnamese restaurant? Could be! With so many casual Vietnamese restaurants in this town, it's really hard for one to stand out, yet Pho Aroma does. I came in to try it after reading a very complimentary review in the Seattle Times, and I am pleased to report the great 'buzz' isn't hype; these guys are good! To get a good sampling of what they had to offer, I ordered a pork Bahn Mi sandwich and a small bowl of pho which offered a combination of their meats (brisket, tripe, tendon, meatball, etc). Bahn Mi sandwiches are easy to make, but tricky to master, as they have to balance sweet, savory, and tangy. It is clear that Pho Aroma pays very careful attention to the details that make their sandwiches stand out from the crowd. The vegetable ingredients are crispy-fresh, and the flavors really 'pop'. They get their bread fresh daily from a Vietnamese bakery, and they are delightful: a thin crispy crust, and a warm, light, fluffy interior. The grilled pork has great flavor as well. The pho stands out as well, for the same reasons: attention to detail and the best ingredients they can get. The broth is clearly made in house from scratch The bin of big beef soup bones next to the front door (for patrons to give to their dogs) bears silent witness to this. The broth is hearty, and not salty, like many establishments that make their broth from a mix. All the meats and veggies in the soup are perfect as well, and have excellent flavor. Finally, Pho Aroma stands out in ambiance and service. The space is tastefully decorated and very clean. The servers are very pleasant and attentive (they must've checked on me a half-dozen times to ensure that I was enjoying my meal; they made me feel like Anthony Bourdain!). They paced my luncheon perfectly, serving my sandwich first, and not serving the pho until I was done, so I would be able to enjoy my pho at it's piping-hot peak of perfection. I will definitely be going back to try more of their dishes, and you should too! read more

Another restaurant within walking distance to my house, awesome! This place had been under construction for months and I was excited when it finally opened. The decor was way nicer than any Pho place I've ever been in. You can tell the family who runs the joint really put in some love and care into the building. The menu was much more extensive than I was expecting. In addition to Pho, there are also vermicelli bowls, banh mi, combos and other entrees. I don't think they had any alcohol but my roomies got a Vietnamese iced coffee and it was nice and strong. For dinner I got rare steak Pho and it was yummy! The broth was really flavorful and the meat was just right. My husband got a tofu and mushroom crepe and it was gigantic, I can't believe he ate the whole thing. Our service was a little slow, but everyone was nice and had smiles on their faces. In addition to good food they also have good prices. My small Pho was $6 and I couldn't finish it. There aren't a ton of restaurants on this stretch of Delridge so Pho Aroma is definitely a welcome addition! read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place until now. It really has become our go-to pho place. The pho is always solid-- super clean tasting and reasonably priced. A large pho is under $10! I've also ventured into ordering their vermicelli, which is so good. They cook the pork and shrimp to perfection. There's usually plenty of street parking, and all the servers have been friendly. BANH MI REVIEW. I somehow broke through my two-month long Pho obsession and no longer need to eat it every other day. So today, I'm craving Banh Mi. I was in the area and stopped by, reading a lot of good Pho reviews. I found a teeny parking spot next to the building and walked in, getting seated right away. It wasn't crowded at all. It was around 11:45/12ish. I overheard the server say it does get more crowded around 12:30/1ish, so I guess I lucked out. I ordered the Pork Banh Mi. It is $4 for dine in, pretty good deal ($3 for take out). It came out fairly quickly. The baguette was crunchy, yet soft enough that the roof of my mouth didn't get mangled. I hate when that happens...when the baguette is rock hard. This one was the perfect amount of soft/crunchy. There weren't many of the pickled veggies (typically the carrots and cukes). I feel like I just remember cucumbers. Wait, lemme check the photo.... Okay, there were carrots and radishes as well. I guess not overwhelming amounts. There were jalapeños for some kick. And of course some pork. The pork was a little dried out. As a whole the banh mi was on the dry side and lacked a little flavor, but it hit the spot. Servers were friendly and quick. Efficient. Clean restaurant. Accepts debit cards (for take out orders, it needs to be more than $5 to use card I believe). Would return if in the area. Maybe I'll try the pho. read more

We love Pho Aroma for its fantastic good at very decent price. The banh mi is absolutely beating other places, especially their chicken banh mi - chicken so tender and full of flavor while the bread is crunchy and fresh. The best part? It's only $2.50! But we come here for many other dishes. My favorites are Mango Salad with tofu, Sour Soup with catfish, catfish stew, Lemongrass Beef and the Tofu Vermicelli bowl. Service is good and it feels very nice inside, though the lightning can gets brighter a bit. Oh, did I forget to mention their fresh durien and avocado smoothie? We'd take it for the road if there's any space left in our stomach (not likely!). Definitely thankful that they open in West Seattle area...this is now my go-to place. read more

Before coming to this place, I did have high expectation for this place since they have lots of good reviews and nice rating .. and I was disappointed. First of all, their menu was small and didn't have many dishes comparing to other restaurants .. Also, there weren't any special dishes that really attract me .. This restaurant just have all the simple and basic vietnamese food like pho, com tam (rice plate) .. and rice vermicelli, banh mi .. It was just a small restaurant with nothing exciting to try out , but I thought t it was an alright place if you need a good breakfast or lunch.. Since I didn't have many choices with their menu, I ended up ordering pho and a pork rice plate ... I thought the food was good ...I loved the pho but my guy didn't think the pork rice plate was just alright So, i was pretty happy with everything except their service .. even though the restaurant wasn't crowded at all, they were pretty slow on taking my order and making it .. So, we had to wait pretty long for the food and the waiters didn't pay attention to us at all when we want to order something extra .. we raised our hand a few time but nobody responded to us .. they need to hire more people or train them to pay attention to customers better .. read more
