Not a bad teryaki place. I came because I read in a review they had some kind of miso bar but that must be gone. I still got some miso, and a teryaki plate. It was pretty good. I did like how they had teryaki sauce on the tables. The plate was a good amount. The lighting here however really messed with my vision. I didn't like it at all. I was ravenous while getting my tires changed at Costco, and didn't want to eat at the food court. As a resident 'yaki fanatic, I am always on the hunt for that ooey gooey. When I see a sign that says "Teriyaki & Something"... You already know I'm going to stop by. They actually piqued my curiosity by having a huge menu outside of the restaurant with a plethora of options. My standard order is spicy teriyaki, and I did not stray from that here. There were also many other patrons eating here by themselves on a Friday at 4PM, which would seem to be a telltale sign of good food. I'm not coming to crack open a book and dine alone unless your food is special. The dishes that were being served up looked not only phenomenal, but visually stunning. I can't completely say the same about the teriyaki. While the chicken on its own was impressive in terms of char and overall flavor, it tended to be in the dry side. This was enhanced even further by a distinct lack of sauce. The sauce is very thick, so when it clings to the chicken you have an impeccable bite. Alas, there was no sauce to be seen other than a light coating on the chicken itself. One of the true wonders of teriyaki is when you can sauce up the rice to get a bite of everything together. That's just not possible here. Sauceless rice is something that needs immediate attention. I found myself dousing it up with other accoutrements when I came home. The amount of chicken is on the smaller side relative to other restaurants as well. The salad might as well not even be there. I didn't count, but there may have been only seven shreds of lettuce to it. The dressing was ok though. I think that this dish could be taken to the next level by just adding more sauce, but that could just be my preference. It's insane to see pictures from a few years ago showing that the same menu item I ordered today was half the price. Not a knock on them at all. I actually have a lot of respect for them for staying in business. I'd come back to try other things, but hopefully I don't need new tires anytime soon. read more

Considerate and cordial staff. Neat welcoming atmosphere. Clean and tidy inside. I was relieved there was a self-serve iced water station. There is such a large menu with a wide array of food items and with a great regular and lunch special prices. I was so glad I had the option of getting brown rice instead of white rice. I got the teriyaki pork with vegetables and brown rice, which was so good! All of the flavors and textures in my dish were great! I would definitely order it again. This place has a good selection of different food types: Japanese, Chinese, Korean and Teriyaki (the last one being more American than the former two!). The food is consistently good and seemingly high quality. They do offer lunch specials starting at $6.99 (as of December 2022) that are mostly teriyaki bowls with rice and steamed veggies. I prefer their Chinese Wok selections that come with a main dish, rice and either regular or macaroni salad (the latter is an odd side dish for Chinese food, but is my preference). Their Kung Pao chicken is just the right amount of spicy and a very large portion, so a great value. The atmosphere is decent but nothing special and parking is free which is a plus in Seattle. The service is also good but they've messed up my order twice, hence the four stars instead of five. read more

We ordered a chicken and shrimp katsu plate and spicy ramen. Chicken katsu was very thin pieced strips, crisp and crunchy...but not much flavor. The fried shrimp is standard. Nothing of a wow factor. Spicy ramen was very odd. I couldn't get past 5 bites. It didn't taste like traditional ramen. It tasted like a broth mix and assembled ingredients with bean sprouts...which i was thrown off by . It was not satisfying. If you're used to really delicious ramen from Hokkaido Ramen Santouka, you would not like this ramen. If you just want a quick noodle meal, it will satisfy you. But it didn't hit the ramen spot. I hate leaving sad reviews but it's the experience. Their bento boxes are $20+ here. I notice this area is very heavily priced, understandable for the location. But it was not worth it. The positive is that the staff is very friendly and helpful. I might try their sushi or teriyaki dishes next time, those items seem to be popular. read more

I came here because I ended up in the area and was VERY hungry, and majority of my diet involves rice. This was the best option, from what I found while considering proximity. I got the $5.75 all-day-deal chicken bowl (w rice & steamed veggies). I was grateful for this option because I didn't want to commit to a meal set & felt the sides were pricey. The chicken was what you'd expect flavor wise, they have that typical sweet, american teriyaki sauce, the rice was fine and the veggies were cold but not bad. Essentially it was everything you can imagine on your own. I think the bowl is a good deal overall. Will I come back? not intentionally but when in a bind, yes. The restaurant was super clean & the staff was very attentive, and thoughtful. I was craving something with a hint of spice but didn'twant to leave my domicile, so I decided to order dinner from GrubHub. When the order arrived, I placed it on the counter, sampled a piece of chicken (hmmm extra crunchy), then sorted through forking around a bit (more extra crunchy, hard nuggets of meat). I ordered $50 worth of food and while my roommate seemed content, the majority of my dish was overcooked, and so well done that portions of the meat were burnt amd inedible. The small morsals were so tough, they hurt my teeth. I called Asia Ginger to let them know I was unable to eat the chicken, and while the hostess was polite she said to call back in morning to speak with someone. I also contacted Grubhub about this situation and they are scheduled to get back with me in 5 days. I will say my cousin ordered the teriyaki chicken and she seemed content. If you try this restaurant, 50/50 shot for a $50 meal, not including delivery, so eat at your own risk or just avoid the stress and hassle. Wow!!! I have been to this place now twice and they are impressive with the best I can say the Chicken Yaki Soba was my meal of choice this time and it was not salty with a great portion of food! I completely felt the value for my money and there is ample parking with a Costco behind it! A little secret not the tourist area and I love the service they give you! However a couple days ago I got food poisoning after eating here, which resulted in hours upon hours of excruciating stomach pain. It was so bad that I almost had to cancel my trip to the east coast the next day. Although my good experiences far outweighed my one bad experience, this is no excuse for any restaurant to serve undercooked food. Pretty decent Asian-themed food, clean store, generous free tea and miso soup and efficient service. The bento my gal ordered included General Tso Chicken, California Roll, Tempura Prawn & Veg and salad. I had the Bibimbap, and we got an Eel Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll too, for good measure. There were hits and misses. The horrible "New Country" music, huge miss. Hopefully it's not a regular thing. While the bento was plated attractively and served expediently, the chicken was over-sauced, over-breaded, and contained that deplorable previously-frozen pea and carrot cube mix, like that used in school lunches. Blech! But the tempura was very good, and the rest of the plate was flavorful and well executed. My Bibimbop was yummy, if not very authentic. It was served in a hot bowl, but the bowl was not hot enough to brown the rice, as is traditional. The marinade on the meat was too sweet and not very Korean to my taste, and I had to order kimchee on the side ($3.25) to get the flavor right, but over-all quite satisfying. The rolls...well, it's a concept I understand. They pre-make batches of California rolls and store them at the prep station, then when somebody orders one of the specialty rolls, they grab one and put different ingredients on top to complete the roll. My Eel Roll was a California roll with eel on top. The spicy tuna roll is a California roll with spicy tuna on top. Etcetera. Now, their California roll IS exceptionally good, so don't be dismayed. It did go really well with the eel, but not so much with the tuna. It's done this way to facilitate fast service, and it's not a bad system, but not everyone's cup of Krab, if you dig. All in all, better than most fast service Asian in the area (Sodo) and not as good as similar foods a short drive away in the ID. I may not rush to get there, but I'll be back! read more

I had General Tso's chicken. It was really overcooked, rubbery, and had a burnt sugar glaze on it. Almost no detectable spice, but could see pieces of dried red chilies in the food. No vinegar tang like you are used to with General Tso's. Pass on the mac salad. Not good. Sour flavor. The green salad was good. Fresh, and the dressing was not too sweet. I wish I had read the restaurant reviews before asking my boyfriend to place order! The beef teriyaki tasted weird and the rice had some green stuff on it which looks like lettuce? Not sure what it's and didn't want to risk it so I threw it out and my boyfriend general Tso chicken was burnt inside and also tasted odd after small bites he also threw out his order! The worst part is he mistreated my boyfriend when he went to the store to pick up the order, assuming he is an ubereats delivery driver SMDH even if he was one why would you mistreat anyone? He was so rude to him for no reason whatsoever even though he is the sweetest guy ever and wouldn't harm a fly! I luv teriyaki down the road on 4th Ave south or some other teriyaki spot across the street is much better in term of food quality and customer service! Every now and then I'm completely surprised. This is one of those places that has a multi-asian menu; a little japanese, a little Korean, and some Chinese. This Jack of All Trades approach is often a recipe for disaster with nothing being quite a standout. But the food here is good. The Spicy Chicken Terriyaki really is spicy. I had a Crunchy Roll that wasn't amazing, but was decent. We also ordered Bi Bim Bap which was okay but didn't have a nice crust on the rice. The free Miso is a nice touch and the dining room is pleasant, though they have 3 or 4 different kinds of lighting which is a little much. The food is fresh, fast and tasty and the service is quick quick. I'll be adding this to my "don't know what to do for dinner" rotation. read more

The rice also had shrimp in it, which I did not order and did not want. This was seriously the worst General Tso's chicken I've ever had. All of it went straight into the compost. Also, the couple running it were not Asian (maybe Eastern European?). It's clear to me now that they just wanted to finish cleaning and get out of there and weren't interested in making me what I ordered. I wish they would've just said they couldn't make it. I really enjoyed the bento box! Especially the salad and the salad dressing. The bento box I tried had General Tsao's Chicken, 4 California rolls, 2 gyoza, rice and a couple other treats. I ate here twice recently although once was delivered to me via a co-worker and the other I came in person and dined in. A lot of the teriyaki places in Georgetown seem to offer free soup but only for dine-in. I missed out on miso the first time and the dine-in was egg drop soup (boo!) The pace of the restaurant is crowded as it seems this is the 'go to' place. The prices are fair and they offer a unique option of making your own combo for a fair price ($8-8.50). The food itself was delicious although one downside was a co-worker asked for a box (we were a group of 5) and she was given one. As she cleaned her plate but left the potato salad to be picked at, the waitress came and took it from her! She asked her to leave it but the waitress didn't speak English I guess. So she kept trying to take it and eventually it became awkward and was taken away. I'd have to come again to really evaluate what the service level would be. When I walked in he was finishing up a game on his phone and told me to "hang on." I ordered the special which was honey garlic chicken. The meat tasted very strange.
