I found out that this restaurant offered extra large pho and I wanted to found out how it was! It was DEFINITELY a hefty amount of pho & meat. I enjoyed it. The noodles were good, however, a bit overcooked. The rare steak was good and tasty though. Broth was flavorful. The service was good. Server was very nice and the food didn't take long to make. The ambiance is good. Mostly a place to enjoy good Vietnamese food. There's plenty of seating and it's organized!

This is my first time ever trying Pho Bac Cafe new dish, the bun Bo hue. I would usually order the pho, but I wanted to give this a try. Glad that I did, because it was good! The broth is tasty with a hint of the fermented fish and the pork knuckle was so tender that the meat fell off of it! I think I kind of caught the owner off guard with this order, because she always knew what I wanted when dining here. It's always a pleasure because she's so sweet and always smiling no matter how busy they get. As for the ambiance, Pho Bac Cafe is in a little plaza among other restaurants and businesses. It's just super busy at times and can get a little loud. But that's totally fine, I wouldn't expect anything else from a pho restaurant. But please try their bun Bo hue. If not, they have one of the most yummiest pho in town!

Came here after a hike and it hits the spot! Their soup is warm, flavorful and umami. Price is decent for a bowl of comfort. I got their #8 pho and it was a mix of brisket, tendon, tripe etc and it was great! They also have bottles of sriracha and hoisin sauce for you to customize your soup/dip.

They really give you portions as to the size bowl you choose. I got a small combo pho and there wasn't much meat in it. Don't get me wrong, it was a perfect portion because I got full but there are other pho places that will load up your bowl even if it's a small. The broth was good but not amazing. The staff is attentive and quick to take your order. The food came out fast.

This is a solid spot in Renton for Vietnamese food. Today, we ordered pork vermicelli noodles and pho dac biet. The pho was delicious! I could drink the pho broth all day every day! Also, it had a good meat to noodle to broth proportion! The pork vermicelli noodle dish was delicious but it didn't have enough noodles so it was a bit of a struggle to get meat and noodles and veggies in one bite. All in all, this is a good spot and I'd love to come back, especially for the pho! Oh and don't forget the Vietnamese coffee! It's strong and just sweet enough! Also, it didn't feel like it was just ice either a sip of coffee. Service is good; fast and friendly enough. The space is clean and organized.

Stopped by this spot for the first time, and it will definitely be my last. The place was pretty dead, which was surprising. It was clean, but the inside felt too dark and uninviting. I ordered the pho with beef, and that was the only good part--the meat was tender, and the broth had a nice flavor. Unfortunately, everything else was a letdown. The fried egg roll was completely bland, and even the dipping sauce couldn't help. The short rib was just as bad--chewy and tasteless. Service was just okay, nothing special. If you're only here for pho, it's fine, but everything else? Not worth it.

The door was knocked off in the front of the building and I wasn't too sure about this place until I walked in and ate there. Food came out within 5 min. Food was fresh & filled me up quickly. I didn't get to finish or taste the spring rolls but they were skinny and looked appealing. The water was tap with ice. Overall my total was $25 with tip. The service was ok at first but you have to go up to the cashier to pay instead of them coming to you. The ambiance in there was nice, they have two separate bathrooms for different genders.

Pho was just average, spring roll was skinny and meat is dry, they serve little food portions compared to other pho places. Service was friendly, that's the plus side!

Ordered the well done beef & brisket pho and spring rolls which was good. 4 stars because I thought it was weird how we were not given any water. I guess you have to ask for water if you want it lol

Ordered to go at this place because I wanted to try a new spot instead of my go to. It was easy ordering through the phone and the food was ready to go in 10 minutes. I ordered the grilled shrimp vermicelli ($12) and when I got home to open it, I was shocked. I don't know what I was expecting but I know I was expecting more...? It looked very plain for the price, I was hoping there would at least be some crushed peanuts or fried onion on there. Probably the last time I'd order this from here, but maybe next time I'd try their pho.

Pho noodles with well cooked beef. Delicious for this cold weather in Seattle.

They are open for delivery on grubhub and postmates. I'm not too sure if they are open to public or open for takeout.

Are they really serving them beef ribs there now?

Yes, they are! It's not on the menu, so you just need to ask for it.

If you're ethnic Chinese/Asian looking for true Taiwanese food that'll give you a ratatouille moment, this isn't it. We went on a weekend late night dinner and the place was decently full. We were the only Asians there and the rest of the patrons were Westerners. That should tell you everything you need to know. Ambiance and service was 5/5. Very clean, hip restaurant in a safe part of Seattle. Perfect for a date. More than half of the wait staff was Chinese as were all the kitchen staff from what we could tell, so if you spoke mainly Chinese, you'd be fine and they would be familiar with Taiwanese food. Portion sizes are smaller and pricing matches, respectfully, so you can try different things. I'd say as an adult, you could order a couple plates and you'd be more than full. Food was 3.5-4. Sorry, I can't confidently rate it any higher than a 4. We had to try the beef noodle soup 3.5/5. Broth was good. Vegetables were romaine lettuce which wasn't authentic, but fine. Beef was definitely on the leaner side and definitely tougher (maybe because it was so lean), so maybe this was to cater to western tastes? Noodles were ok... too similar to ramen for our tastes... and that was a comment several of us made, independently. Onion pancake was 3.5/5. Meh, nothing too exciting. Beef sandwich was a dud. 2.5/5. Skip. It was like they took an onion pancake and used it for the roll/skin... pretty oily. Vegetables were just chopped lettuce. No cucumbers or cilantro from my memory, but it's been a few days so maybe I'm not remembering correctly. We also had different xao-long baos (they only had one pork left), cold peanut butter/cucumber noodles, dumplings, spicy cold cucumbers... and they were all 3.5-4ish. Nothing crazy. In the end, again, if you're looking to just get a broad taste of Taiwanese food, this is it. If you're looking to get a genuine taste of Taiwan, this isn't it.

The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall leading to ranch 99 (Asian supermarket). I've had this spot pinned on my Google Maps for the longest time but just never had the opportunity to make the drive there. This place was easy to miss if you don't look carefully so I'm glad I saw this recommended by a Seattle foodie I follow on instagram. We ordered the spicy braised beef noodles and steamed dumplings to share since we weren't that hungry. The braised beef noodles BLEW ME AWAY. The broth was so rich and savory, my mom commented that it tasted better than the one at din tai fung (we are frequent visitors & I agree) and the noodles were chewy (I love thick noodles!!). The dumplings were very juicy and flavorful but nothing too special. Service was prompt and servers were really friendly. There were so many other dishes on the menu featuring traditional Chinese dishes that looked delicious and so I do want to come back to try those when I am hungry! Vermicelli was a 3.5 as it was fresh and a good serving (4) but the grilled pork was on the cooler side and didn't taste as crisp and fresh off the grill as you'd expect (3). Best part of the pho was the broth as it wasn't too salty like it can be sometimes elsewhere (4). Veggies were super fresh. Sliced beef was previously sliced and the whole chunk was placed in so you had to tease apart the slices from each other which was a little different than my experiences elsewhere. SKIP THE SPRING ROLLS. Picture had three shrimps/roll. Ours had 1/roll on one side with a slice of pork (I think) on the other. Seemed pretty skimpy if you ask me (2.5 at best). Service was good (4). Location was in a small strip mall with a Mexican and Indian place next door. The bars over nearly the entire front storefront were definitely interesting. For an out-of-towner, this part of Kent seems like a Santa Ana/Westminister/Garden Grove of OC, CA kind of an area with different ethnic offerings up and down the street.

Luckily I saw Pho T & L was open and I've had this place saved for a while so this was the best timing to try them out. We arrived and it was pretty busy and we weren't sure if we seated ourselves or someone else seats us as it took a few minutes for us to get noticed. After a little of standing awkwardly near the entrance, someone noticed us and motioned us to sit near the check out area which you do need to go up and pay rather than wait for someone to drop off a check. We were given waters and menus and given a decent amount of time to decide what we wanted. My friends got a lemonade with tea, Thai tea, shaking beef and combo vermicelli while my boyfriend got the shaking beef and egg rolls and I got the Bun Bo Hue and spring rolls. My boyfriend got his egg rolls and I didn't get my spring rolls until after everyone's' order came in so I have a feeling that the employee who took our order forgot or the kitchen forgot. There was no apology or anything for it either. I got my food first, after several minutes the shaking beef came out and after another a while my friend got his vermicelli bowl. Luckily we weren't pressed for time but it made it awkward as we didn't get our food at the same time and it took a bit to get them. I am a slow eater so I guess it worked out that I got mine first but I also didn't receive my spring rolls until I brought it up once we received everything else. The food was phenomenal and our friends said their drinks were perfect too. I did enjoy my Bun Bo Hue, though I did make it a bit more spicier with their chili oil. They have plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate all party sizes. They do have a bathroom but you have to go through a long, scary hallway to get to it. The tables have probably the cutest container for their chili oil but I appreciate that they have napkins, sriracha, hoisin, and utensils on the table. The employees don't really check in often and they didn't really come by to fill our waters until we were down with our meal. The service was also pretty much non-existent, it wasn't rude but just felt rushed and cold.
