Potential customers, be aware of the pricing before ordering. The food at Greatest Thai Restaurant was delicious, but I was extremely disappointed by the pricing and lack of transparency. I ordered a beef salad, chicken satay, and a side of rice. The dine-in menu I was given did not list any prices, which I found unusual, but I didn't think to ask before ordering. When I received the bill, the beef salad was $25, the chicken satay was $15, and the side of rice was $5. The chicken satay is listed online for $10 before tax, so I was surprised to be charged $15. The final total was significantly more than I expected for these three items. I regularly order these same types of dishes at other Thai restaurants and typically spend under $40. I would have been perfectly fine paying more if the prices had been clearly posted, but being presented with significantly higher prices after ordering left me feeling taken advantage of. My advice to future customers: ask for the price of every item before ordering, especially if the menu doesn't show prices. Again, the food was good, but the pricing transparency needs serious improvement. I hope the restaurant addresses this because customers should know what they're going to be charged before they order. read more

Okay. 5 stars hands down for The boat noodle soap. I highly recommend to everyone. In fact, there's not a soup here that I wouldn't recommend. They do the soups exceptionally well. The restaurant is still small and quaint and the vibe is laid back and chill. Family run and once you're a regular you will feel like family too. The staff is very friendly here. I finally got their papaya salad Lao style but same as to when I ordered it Thai style, it just wasn't spicy. Overall the papaya salad is much better here Thai style than Lao style. I also ordered chicken wings to go and I wish I would have paid attention to the price because it was only 4 total of wingettes and drumettes. And they were pretty small. I was so disappointed bc they were actually pretty good and wanted more. The food is always hot and fresh. And definitely a great local spot. Solid 4.5. Docking half a star since the fried tofu was a miss. The breading did not seem consistent with traditional asian fried tofu. For the mains, my girlfriend and I shared the Nam Tok and Basil Chicken w/ Fried Egg which were both fantastic. We ordered each in Medium which was on the upper end of my american chinese tolerance. Given the choice of breading for the Tofu, i am inclined to believe this would be the same on subsequent visits, not a one off mistake. This little establishment is quite quant and such a cozy space. The dishes we had were phenomenal and tasted like how it was made back in the Mother land ! Our server was outstanding and checked on us often. She always made sure that we enjoyed our meal. The dishes we ordered were the boat noodle and the Nam Khao. Food: I absolutely loved my dish, the flavor of the basil really made an entrance. The ground chicken was moist and flavored so well! And a fried egg completed the meal. I forgot what dry noodle dish the bf had, but he finished it so must have been delicious. If you have never had Thai ice tea, get it here. Probably one of the better ones I've had. This has been our "home" thai restaurant for 3+ years. The owner is super friendly, and her dishes are so so good. Not only is everything very authentic, the food stays consistent with flavor & portions. Price is average for your typical thai restaurant, has indoor seating. I cannot believe the rating is 4.2!? Amazing and authentic Thai food!! The best dish here for me is the dry noodles. Huge portions for the price. The meat stuff they added in there seems to be homemade and rare to find in the area. The fermented pork salad (nam khao tod) was so gooddd not as spicy as I want it to be but still flavorful and crispy. The service was great! She's checking up on us and accommodate our requests for food. The dish was around $19 per dish not sure how much the salad though. There was no price on the menu. Ambiance - a small mom and pop restaurant . Nicely decorated with a lot of Thai influence. We got our food to go so can't speak much on it. Service - placed our order about 15 minutes before they closed so was surprised and happy they still took our order. When I picked up our food, the 2 women behind the counter were so nice and welcoming with big smiles on their face. Food - ordered their pink noodle soup and crispy garlic chicken. Ended up here on a whim when the Chinese place I wanted to go to wasn't open on Christmas. I went with yellow curry made with tofu and some spring rolls and the counter part got some sort of salmon curry. Service was super quick; we were quoted 15 min, but it was less than that. Kinda makes me wonder if it was a heat-and-eat kind of moment, because if that's the case I could have gone to the frozen section in the grocery store. Containers kept the heat in well and things were still very hot by the time I got back up on East Hill. Visually speaking, the curry was very plain looking. Very beige with no real discernable herbs or spices. That being said, the flavours are definitely in there and the taste was quite good. Well, my tofu curry was good, the salmon curry was hated and thrown into the garbage. Seems like the texture was weird? My husband tried to ensure me that it was "flavor"... honey, I was born at night but not last night. There's no way in hell that BURNT equates to "flavor/seasonings". I've eaten in and ordered out at this place and all times I've been severely under satisfied. The swimming Rama was like half a cup or sorry cut chicken and a cup of spinach. At these prices? Always try to come here whenever we're down south! Always get their Thai Boat Noodles! It's not for everyone but it's quite authentic as you know if there's Thai patrons that come here all the time. It's a casual place where you can pop in for a quick bowl and be satisfied. The service is quick and the food comes out real fast and fresh! Amazing authentic Thai food. We had their lunch curry combo which included pad Thai and rice. That's already a winner! And their soup, sorry forgot the name. The menu here is very difficult to read, and server did point out to me that the already updated price written on the the white tape over the menu is out of date and everything is just 1 extra dollar now. Food..is not great. But Thai wok fried rice noodle dish is hard to screw up too badly. 25 dollars for a fried noodle dish and 4 spring rolls. yay!
