The minus one star is that service can be kinda slow and the wait staff can be a tad forgetful so pack your patience as you delve into delicious food and the shortest trip to Vietnam. You know a place is good when theres people waiting outside. The pho bowls are large steaming goodness of meat slices with bean sprouts and a squeeze of lime and noodles. I went on a pho craze as the weather started getting colder and I ordered from this place three days in a row via Ubereats. I get the big bowl and love that everything is separated, which makes this a great choice for delivery. The soup comes in a massive container and it's more than enough for the noodles. When it arrives, the bowl looks pretty small and the noodles are packed in, but I usually throw everything into a stove pot and heat everything up. A nice pho spot in Elmhurst I got the pho with the variety pieces of beef, the shrimp summer rolls and chicken chops. Food came out quickly with the pho coming out first. They deserve their name. Definitely one of the best pho places in Queens! I got a rib eye pho (~$12) and special # 2 with all the meat (~12) and a pork chop add-on (~4). I've only gotten take out at this location. I have ordered in person and through uber eats. If you can, you should order in person. It is almost a $4 price difference (almost $2 a dish). Take out quality - I usually do not like Pho as take out because the quality is not maintained well (soups usually cold, noodles are hard, etc,) but Pho Best III does a good job keeping the quality. The broth and beef/noodles are separated so the noodles won't get soggy. I live about a 20 minute drive from this location and the broth was still very hot! It cooks the raw beef the moment I pour it on to the noodles. Food - The broth is so flavorful. I can taste the beef base. Although it is a bit salty but that is fine for me. The noodles were a bit al dente which is how I like it. It will softens up the longer you leave it in the soup. They gave SO MUCH thin-sliced rib eye! I had been planning to go to another pho restaurant nearby, but I didn't have cash so I decided to come to Pho Best III since they take credit card, but I now realize this was a major mistake. It was quite clear that this place is not authentic Vietnamese but rather run by Chinese people based on the language the staff spoke, the writing on the menu, and the taste of the dishes that came out. We ordered spring rolls to share, which were much smaller than I expected for the price here quite flavorless. They also came out after the pho did, which seemed a bit odd given they were an appetizer. I got the three color sweet beans drinks, which ended up being mostly just ice with a bit of other flavors. For my main dish, I got the beef brisket pho, which was pretty subpar compared to most other pho I've had. The broth was quite flavorless and also not particularly hot when it came out. The meat was too tough; I realized I should have probably ordered the rib eye which my friend got since it was more tender. When we finished eating, we asked for 3 to-go containers since all three of us had quite a bit of leftover broth and noodles. The waitress kept trying to only offer us 2 containers and tried telling us to combine them, which is not only kinda gross but wouldn't work if we wanted to keep them separately. Eventually when my friend told her in Mandarin that we needed 3 containers she brought out 2 large containers and a smaller container, which the smallest leftover portion fit almost perfectly inside, so I don't know why she tried arguing us for a couple minutes over it. Next, she came out with the check and asked how much we wanted to tip which I've never seen happen at a restaurant before. She then took the credit card and went to go charge it and came back with a receipt that had the tip included but still had another area for additional tip, which I thought was just confusing and actually a bit rude.
