Enjoyed a dinner of regular size #2 pho and a piece of spider spring roll. Three others had pork chop with rice, meat ball pho and a big #1 pho with bone marrow. The pho came with sides of bean sprouts, fresh basil and lime wedge. I enjoyed my pho but wouldn't order the spider (fried soft shell crab) roll again. Not enough flavor for the roll even with the peanut sauce. Service was attentive (several refills of tea) and friendly. The place felt clean and not too noisy -- this was on a rainy Satuday night. Not sure if it gets really crowded and noisy on weekends generally.

The pho itself was alright, though I noticed it was not as warm as I would have liked, and the broth came across a little flavorless. A bowl that comes out hot makes a real difference in the experience, so if yours arrives lukewarm, flagging it early rather than eating through it is worth doing. The noodles and meat portions were generous, but the temperature and broth depth held the dish back from being great.

The crackly, golden exterior with the savory meat inside makes for an addictive combo. Their grilled pork over rice is another standout--tender, flavorful, and satisfying. Overall, Pho Best is a reliable go-to for comfort food, big portions, and some memorable specialties when you're lucky enough to catch them. Highly recommended.
I decided to come back after the rating changed from C & B to A. The menu seemed different from what I remembered it to be like from last time.
Not sure why this place has bad reviews. It's a casual, local spot that serves a comforting bowl of pho. Service is efficient and food comes out quickly. The special crispy spring rolls were delicious and super flavorful. The beef pho was aromatic, refreshing, and filling. Pricing is great, too.
The food is absolute chef's kiss with a meld of vietnamese flavors. The minus one star is that service can be kinda slow and the wait staff can be a tad forgetful so pack your patience as you delve into delicious food and the shortest trip to Vietnam. You know a place is good when theres people waiting outside. The pho bowls are large steaming goodness of meat slices with bean sprouts and a squeeze of lime and noodles. I got the pork with vermicelli noodle which came with some veggies and topped off with some peanut bits (see picture), was around $14. Very tasty! I'd also recommend getting the spring rolls top, a hint of mint and shrimp in a rice roll.
I order a pho beef. The soup base is pretty good. but only with a few piece of beef in it and a lot of rice noodle . for $12 they could've added a few more pieces. The service is quick. The place is clean.
Friendly and good food. I love the presentation of the dishes. Everything is tasty. Whether it is hot or cold dish.
Good pho, huge portions, great value. Their buns are good too especially in the hot summer months. Try the fresh lemonade or Vietnamese iced coffee. The sauté watercrest with garlic is a great side dish.

Food was subpar today. It seems like they fried the soft shell crab in either old oil or oil that wasn't up to temp. The crab just had an overly oily, heavy taste and feel to it. The Pho was its usual self... pretty OK. Service was speedy, but they could learn to not reach over you to get to customers in the adjacent table. We were seated towards the back, by the restroom, and there was a terrible draft. The whole establishment felt cold. Most patrons did not even take off their coats.
We have frequented this location in the past and enjoyed the food overall. The food this visit tasted great but we are rating 3 stars because the service and the condition of the restaurant was noticeably not as good as in the past.
Great big portions enough to share, benevolent fresh ingredients, delicious taste, lowest prices, and just huge range of options. Great color, aroma, and flavor. Mmm mmm Umami flavor! Ample seating space and never need to wait. My family and I always come here for delicious but affordable dish variety of nutritionally balance yum yum meal. read more
Ironically not the best. While we only tried one dish, that's all it takes for me to decide. Especially since cơm tấm is one of my favorite Viet dishes. The pork loaf tastes old and refrigerated. The rice itself leaned a little too dry. There are other places in the city that execute this dish with stronger technique. The egg rolls are a highlight, but a side dish should not outshine an entree. I also tried ordering egg-soda and the waitress deliberately told me not to order it because "it's not good." Like, as a Viet, I'm familiar with the drink but at that point, I was so confused that I just listened to her. read more

Used to walk by and see the heavy patrons. I understand the hype now. Had the brisket and beef pho with shrimp summer rolls and plum juice. The pho was fantastic yet huge bowl. I'm surprised I finished it with the shrimp rolls on a summer day. It was light yet filling. The broth of the pho could not go unfinished. The ribeye and beef were tender. The rolls were light and crunchy. The sauce really brought the flavors together. The plum juice is an acquired taste. There's a water closet available in rear. During cooler months this eatery may have a wait. Usually fast service, very casual. read more

I went on a pho craze as the weather started getting colder and I ordered from this place three days in a row via Ubereats. I get the big bowl and love that everything is separated, which makes this a great choice for delivery. The soup comes in a massive container and it's more than enough for the noodles. When it arrives, the bowl looks pretty small and the noodles are packed in, but I usually throw everything into a stove pot and heat everything up. The noodles then end up expanding and it's quite a large portion. Highly recommend! read more
The service here is always quick and very direct. The staff is not unfriendly, just very fast with everything. We had not been seated 2 mins before the waitress asked if we're ready to order. The food is yummy, tastes authentic and is decently priced. I like how the dishes here are made with simple ingredients but make for a flavorful punch together. The space is pretty open and has some nice decor to complement the walls. read more

3-3.5 Stars! Ok, let's get real. I did NOT pick this restaurant, and honestly, was very hesitant of going to this restaurant due to it's 2.5 Star Yelp rating! LOL Well, I went, but had already lowered my expectations. Surprise, Surprise! It wasn't as bad as I was expecting! Definitely not a 5 Star restaurant, but a decent 3-3.5 Stars! This is our menu (shared by 6 ppl): -- House Vietnamese Rice Noodles ($16.95): good. Nice flavors. -- Lemongrass BBQ Short Ribs ($16.95): good -- Vietnamese Pineapple Fried Rice with Cubed Pork Chop ($14.95): tasty! -- Lemongrass BBQ Chicken Chops ($9.95): This was the least liked dish. It was bland and boring. -- Lemongrass BBQ Squid ($10.95): This is a whole BBQ Squid. You can cut it yourself or ask them to cut it for you (which we did). Great dish! Get this! -- Salt & Pepper Shrimp ($16.95): save the best dish for last! This was my fave dish of the night. This was perfect. I even ate the whole shrimp; head and all, which I hardly ever do. lol Get this! Although this restaurant is not much to look at from the outside, the inside is surprisingly pretty and nicely decorated. Service and hospitality were friendly and efficient. For a 2.5 Star rated restaurant, this place is always packed! Maybe the locals know something we don't?!?! read more

Ambiance (5/5): I'm a big fan of the ceiling decor, kind of tropical hut vibes. There's plenty of natural lighting from the big windows. Not too loud, clean, and orderly. Service (5/5): They seated us immediately around 1:30pm on a weekend. They are quick with service and greet you warmly. Food (5/5): Vietnamese Coffee (5/5): The coffee was served with a pour-over contraption. The coffee was delicious with the condensed milk! Fresh ribeye slices Pho (5/5): The portion size is generous! The broth is extremely flavorful. The fresh beef provides a silky bite as compared to meat that's been frozen before! For only $12, this is one of the best pho value and taste!! Def coming back. Bone Marrow $5 (4/5): HUGE! Super tender, slides right off with a spoon. Very greasy so it didn't sit well with my stomach! However, still very delicious! read more

Food is great and reasonable price! Service is not bad but one thing is they will give your check away before you are done with your meal. And no idea so so rush! Bathroom is kind nasty so could do much more to improve! read more

My favorite soup is pho. I was so sad when a place I loved closed down after covid but was happy to find this place. I've only had their beef pho and crispy spring rolls. If I had a complaint, it would be when the place is packed, the door constantly is opened so if you're sitting next to the door, you will freeze. read more

A nice pho spot in Elmhurst I got the pho with the variety pieces of beef, the shrimp summer rolls and chicken chops. Food came out quickly with the pho coming out first. The pho had a nice broth salty but not overwhelming. I like adding the lime with a slight hint or sourness! The summer rolls were nice and refreshing and the chicken chops were nice tender and juicy. My waitress was sweet and gave me time to figure things out even though it was busy. Portions are pretty good will come again for sure. read more

Honestly no idea why this place has 2.5 stars. Please do not let this rating discourage you from coming. Ive been to At least 4 different pho spots in Nyc and this is easily my favorite. The broth is aromatic and the portions were huge. The waitress wasn't over friendly she just got straight to the point which I don't mind. The bone marrow was a little pricey in my opinion so Ill probably do without it next time but it still tasted good nonetheless. read more
Bone marrow is back. Enough said. Go go go My kids have been waiting for the bone marrow. We call all the time. Totally the highlight of their meals here. I am always amazed that this restaurant has so low ratings. When we come to visit this place, regularly we have pretty good service. Very reasonable pricing. Clean and good taste. The wait staff is pretty attentive but sometimes it is hard to attention, but you know here isn't a fine restaurant. Anyway, I give 3.5 stars because good food, value, and good service. read more
The picture doesn't do justice but it was incredibly great! The price for it was even better. I couldn't even finish it because personally it was just a lot. The service was great, and the food came out fast! Would definitely come here again. I got a beef brisket, and the spring rolls were delicious especially with the peanut butter sauce. I am not sure why this place has such low reviews. This location used to be a hot pot place until they closed and this Vietnamese place took it over during the pandemic. Being fairly new, this spot is clean and modern looking. It is very spacious too and perfect for a group gathering. In terms of the food, we were more than satisfied. We ordered several plates of pork with rice vermicelli (bun thit nuong). This was a big hit for all of us and what I would recommend the most. The meat was extremely juicy and seasoned perfectly. He had one bowl of pho as well. The broth tasted fine and did not seem bland as some others are saying. The only thing that was disappointing for us were their spring rolls. They were too small and lacking in flavor. Everything is reasonably priced too with most dishes being around 9 or 10 dollars. read more
They deserve their name. Definitely one of the best pho places in Queens! I got a rib eye pho (~$12) and special # 2 with all the meat (~12) and a pork chop add-on (~4). I've only gotten take out at this location. I have ordered in person and through uber eats. If you can, you should order in person. It is almost a $4 price difference (almost $2 a dish). Take out quality - I usually do not like Pho as take out because the quality is not maintained well (soups usually cold, noodles are hard, etc,) but Pho Best III does a good job keeping the quality. The broth and beef/noodles are separated so the noodles won't get soggy. I live about a 20 minute drive from this location and the broth was still very hot! It cooks the raw beef the moment I pour it on to the noodles. Food - The broth is so flavorful. I can taste the beef base. Although it is a bit salty but that is fine for me. The noodles were a bit al dente which is how I like it. It will softens up the longer you leave it in the soup. They gave SO MUCH thin-sliced rib eye! It is so good! it had a good balance between fat and meat. The pork chop was decent. This is definitely my pho go-to spot. read more
