I was so excited to eat and sadly I was extremely disappointed . All my food came in cold. I was missing my beverage and my side of rice for my meal. Me and my employees couldn't even eat the food we got because it just wasn't pleasant to eat even after trying to heat it up. I did call right away when the food came in cold and the guy I spoke to was rude, I waited for over an hour for my order to even be sent out the store. Wow!! The service was quick and he even greeted me with a handshake which is a great first impression. I would also like to comment on the PHO the Chicken was great and the spring rolls were good as well!! Just became my favorite pho spot!!! I knew I was in for a good experience when I walked in and found that out of about 25 peole there, I was the only Caucasian. I had pho with meatballs, and it was good. The broth was sweeter and less salty than most places. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that I ordered a lemonade, which my server never brought, and then they charged me for it. read more

Perhaps this was the place to go in the hay day, but what I just saw and tasted was far from that. Floors were coated in grime to where my shoes were a little slippery when I left there. Also flies were everywhere! I can live with those if the food is awesome...but alas, I'm not a fan. The noodles were brown...not white as I've generally seen them. The broth is a little more heavier than I like. Lots of pepper in there and more brothier. That's probably more my tastes though. Steak was well done and it rare when it hit my table. Can't speak to if they were rare when they went in, but for sure they weren't when I started eating. All in all, my recommendation would be to move on from this one. Try somewhere else. read more

Best Vietnamese restaurant in Milwaukee and I'm pretty sure we've tried them all. Everything on the menu is excellent and the staff are great. We feel like family when we come here (which is maybe about once a week). Their fried rice is the best I've ever had in any restaurant, it tastes very much like the kind I make at home. Highlight of this place: the waitstaff. They were incredibly helpful and welcoming. They even gave us 20% off for our first time coming. The food was fairly average for Vietnamese, I had Pho and my mom had a rice noodle dish. The only turn-off was the fact that it was fairly dirty. The pho is still good but the SERVICE is HORRIBLE! Seems like the workers are not happy there, maybe the owner is not paying them well or something. A few incidents but one example: asked for a bag. Pho was so-so; I should've gone with the Bun Bo Hue. I docked 2 stars because although service was initially good, when I asked for my check, the waiter brought it to me then proceeded to tell me to pay the tip in cash because he didn't want to deal with separating the tip from the credit card... it would've been fine but I didn't have any cash on me. My boyfriend and I have been here a few times. I wanted him to try Vietnamese food a few months back, and after having their Pho he loves it! He craves for it more than I do. He also is a huge fan of their house special friend rice! I absolutely love their Pho, it's very tasty and everything is just right. About an hour to an hour and a half after slurping down the deliciously tasty large bowl of pho I found my self in a very disconcerting position. I was SOOOOO tired I could barely keep my eyes open with a raging headache. And that means just one thing....MSG!!!! ANYTIME I intake that poison into my body this happens. So I do believe this establishment use MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE. It makes things tasty but can really put some folks for a tailspin. So if you are sensitive to MSG as others are... I often travel for work and have been to probably 2 dozen Pho restaurants in many different states over the years, this was the best. While I ordered some BBQ spring rolls, this review will be based purely on the special combination pho #1. It was amazing! The broth was perfect. The food looked really good, too bad I couldn't enjoy it... I'm in town for business and have no friends or family in the area and have been craving some good homemade Asian food all week. I didn't want to think too much of it but when you go into an Asian Restaurant by yourself and your not of an Asian descent or Vietnamese they don't pay too much attention to you. It was super slow for a Saturday. I was seated and waited about 10 minutes which wasn't too bad but when the sever severs water to new customers that just walked in and was prepare to take their order right away. I was mad. Not only did I not get water but both severs walked by me multiple times made eye contact and proceeded to help other people. I could of said something but seriously no one else was in the restaurant and I told the guy who seated me I was by myself. Pho is one of my favorite meals, so after reading all of the reviews we were excited to try this place. unfortunately the service was so poor it was hard to enjoy. We had to wave the guy down after ten minutes of no one coming to take our order. We waited for 25 minutes for our spring rolls to come out then an additional ten for the pho. They make a big vat of broth, how can it take so long?! We almost walked out when they finally brought the spring rolls. My husband got regular meat pho and liked it. My chicken pho had a few pieces of shredded chicken, but the broth was tasty. The tofu spring rolls were very good. They have no veggie pho option which is unfortunate. They forgot and mixed up two orders at the table next to us. Two small pho and a spring roll were $25, too much for pho. Will not be making the trip down there again. read more

Went to Pho Cali to order take out. The individual who took our order was rude and unhelpful. I ended up ordering pho with steak and a banh mi sandwich. I have a 30 minute drive home and didn't know that the steak would be raw!!!! I understand that you need to cook the meat in the broth, but by the time I got home, the broth was luke warm.
