This place is great! The Pho is very tasty! Soo many options on the menu and the prices aren't bad. They have great customer service and fast service. It didn't take long to get my food after I ordered it and they were happy to customize it to my liking. If you have dietary restrictions or are on a liquid diet then you should definitely eat here because it's early customizable to your specific needs. Maybe one of the only pho places in town. It however is authentic Vietnamese food. We had the pho beef noodle soups and it was filling and good. The menu selection is big so if you don't want noodle soup, there are many items to choose from. The condiments and sauces are all packaged and individualized to maintain cleanliness. So there's no sharing bottles. It wasn't busy around noon on a weekend but customers started trickling in closer to 1pm. The bathroom (located outside in the back of the restaurant) needs a new paint job. read more

Holy Pholy this place is good! This was the best and most fresh Pho I've eaten in my life, not joking. I had to personally tell the owner how I felt about my meal when I left. I had just finished a half marathon in Tahoe and was ravenous. My body must have been craving a big bowl of warm comfort but since I had carbo-loaded the night before, I omitted the noodles and asked for only veggies, shrimp, and chicken in broth. We ordered the shrimp spring rolls and pork crispy rolls which were also the best I have had. I can't reiterate enough how fresh everything was. I must mention the vegetables in my Pho were so perfectly cooked and bright in color, the chicken was all white meat and extremely tender, and the shrimp melted in my mouth. The broth was nowhere near "too salty" and only tasted flavorful, I drank every last drop. Already looking forward to ordering the same exact thing next time I drive through Carson. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat when it comes to Pho in the Carson City area. I really enjoy the #35 wonton pho on a cold day or the #48 dry bowl on a hot day. There spring rolls are AMAZING. I have been coming to this place for the last 6 years and always have the same servers. The owners of this place are so friendly and always keep the littles entertained with fortune cookies. The service is always fast- I have never had to wait to be seated before. The inside has many tables to sit at. They have no outdoor seating but they do have an area that gives off sunroom vibes. I would recommended this place if you are in the area. used to eat at this place when I worked nearby 6-7 years ago and intermittently til about 3 years ago, I went back in today first time in a long while. They were out of Spring rolls so I ordered a 48 (shrimp, pork and egg rolls over rice noodles). I asked a side of Hoisin sauce the same way I've ordered since day one.. The lady didn't even know what it was, she kept offering fish sauce, sweet and sour, chili sauce..etc.. I said No thankyou. the pork was extremely Tough, the shrimp was not deveined at all, I did ask while ordering if they had a cup (NOT BOWL) of Hot and soup, she said yes.. Don't miss it or turn into the Pizza Hut. Stopped by for an afternoon meal. Friendly staff and small dining area. Started with the shrimp lettuce wraps and they were fantastic. The Pho was nice with lots of flavors and good toppings. We also had the vegetable curry. This fell flat. The tofu was fine but the only other vegetables were lots and lots and lots of onions, then a few green peppers and some carrot slabs. So many onions they could make you cry. The service wasn't drab and the restrooms are outside like at a gas station. I ordered vegetarian clay pot and they put shrimp in it. They did make me another, but it wasn't very tasty. Had an odd taste to it that lingered on the tongue. I also ordered the spring rolls and informed them I have a nut allergy so replace the peanut sauce with sweet and sour. They still brought out peanut sauce. The roll itself had absolutely no flavor, thank goodness for sriracha sauce & soy sauce. The fresh coconut was awesome but they cut such a small hole, it's darn near impossible to get the meat out. I ended up giving up and felt like I didn't get my money's worth. First time coming here! The inside really reflects Vietnamese culture, this mom and pop restaurant is really cute. The way they decorated makes you feel like you walked into their home with a refreshing smell of bamboo and a relaxing fountain by the door with a traditional spout that reminds us of the architecture back then. The music is traditional and very relaxing to hear with the fountain. The owner is very hands on and making sure guests get helped right away with hot and fresh plates that are plated with vegetables. This family owned restaurant is very attentive to details with paintings of beautiful Vietnamese women and rivers of Vietnam. Its carson city so I'm not expecting amazing vietnamese food but I do at least need a couple things. 1) fish sauce...please please make the fish sauce for the noodle dishes stronger. I get most Americans here in Carson probably dont want it but I'd love a more true to taste fish sauce. 2) chopsticks would be ideal. Trying to eat noodles with a fork is horrendous and makes me feel like I am playing with a shovel against the delicate noodles in my bowl. The food is fast, pretty good and the experience is not bad. Wish I can give 6 stars.. i have been craving pho and the traditional vietnamese coffee with condensed milk for a long time and i ran into the restaurant as soon as i saw it. I was debating what to get - vermecilli or pho - and the server/maybe owner offered a cup of the pho broth for free! That was so nice of him. The food was really good, the price was surprisingly good, and the portion was HUGE. I totally forgot to mix the espresso and condensed milk mix with ice when it's hot, and the server/owner noticed it and warmed it up for me. The restaurant has a great view of snowy mointains. I don't live in Carson but we were driving down from Tahoe and wanted some warm food so we stopped here. The menu is huge and the place has indoor and outdoor seating. The service was so fast, like quicker than fast food, it was crazy. I got the chicken pho and I wasn't a huge fan, the broth didn't have much flavor and there wasn't much chicken in it either. My boyfriend got vermicelli and it was super good. Also got spring rolls that they served with warm peanut sauce which I've never had so that was nice and yummy. Lastly got some Thai tea which is always a good choice. The restrooms are outside as well which is odd to me for a food establishment but nonetheless it was a quick dining experience but I probably won't go back. read more

I don't know about the food. I think they are okay considering they are one of the few Vietnamese food in Carson. We looked up the hours on Google and it said they close at 9:00. We got there at 7:45 and wanted to order some thing to go for our son because he wanted some pho. We thought about driving to Reno for pho 999, but it was getting late. So we stopped at pho country at 7:45. They told us the Kitchen is closed. This was not the first time it happened. They like to close early. I recommend calling them before you go if you have your heart set on pho and you are in Carson. read more

3.5 Still can't beat an $8 lunch! I ordered a grilled pork / noodle dish that came with a small but kick ass cup of sweet and sour soup. I love that initial hit of salty and spicy in that first sip. Good thing if you eat inside that they drop off a big old container of water so you can gulp down lots of it to cool down. The not so good - I asked for the pork to be extra crispy. I love the char and the blackened bits on the pork that is found on the meat if it is grilled. This dish - not so much. The flavor was there, but the "extra crispy" part was not. Don't be fooled by the simple exterior. In this restaurant you will find very tasty vietnamese and chinese dishes. The staff is very friendly. We came during lunch time, there were few people inside so we didn't have to wait long for our meal. We ordered meal from "vietnamese and chinese fusion". Decorated nicely inside and clean, there were several patrons dinning on a Tuesday afternoon even though it was a warm day. My order the a large bowl of Pho with rare beef and brisket at $7.00 a bowl. I added all the condiments provided - bean sprouts, basil and sliced Jalapeno. The flavor of the broth was on the sweet side and included generous amounts of beef. Service was decent here and my Pho was served quickly after ordering. Same owner....... New Cook! " There's a saying if it's not broken don't fix it! " Too bad the food here used to be so good and now when the owner decided to hire a new cook!!!!! The food taste just went down the drain.... literally! My husband and I have been coming here for years. 3 to 4 times a year from LA California. Every single time we stay at Sparks NV we would come here to eat. When we ordered the food we normally eat it didn't taste good at all. We just looked at each other and shook our heads! Like WHAT THE HELL! The grilled pork looked so pale like it was precooked. The sweet fish sauce tasted so overly sweet and I couldn't even taste the fish sauce. They also use to have this sauté Chillies that Is home made and on the tables..... that's gone too! All they have are packet hoisin sauce, packet soy sauce and pre measures chili that you can buy from the grocery stores. So cheap now! The old waiters are gone also! Replaced with not so friendly waiters and NOT EVEN ONE TIME AFTER OUR FOOD WAS SERVED THEY CAME TO OUR TABLE TO ASK IF THE FOOD WAS OKAY OR IF WE NEEDED ANYTHING ELSE LIKE MORE...... WATER! OH.... well we are entitled to our own opinion. So in my opinion the quality, Especially the taste and visual of the food has deteriorated so badly we're looking for another PHO restaurant in town. Just happened to be driving through Carson City on the way back to Reno and had a craving for some Vietnamese food. I logged onto my trusted Yelp app and saw 4 stars for this restaurant so decided to stop and try. I ordered a grilled pork & egg rolls vermicelli bowl and it did not taste anything like what I expected. This is a typical Vietnamese dish which should not be complicated to make. The pork was dry and rubbery, the egg rolls were Chinese style egg rolls (yes, there is a difference between Vietnamese & Chinese style), and the vermicelli tasted like they were not fully cooked. This tasted nothing like how the dish usually tastes and I have had this plenty of times in the Bay Area. read more
