Ordered the Craze Pho soup size medium. My first order here was not great, considering I found a few hairs in my soup. Which were likely from the freshness of the meats in my soup but of course can cause a scare. BUT the owner is amazing with making things right and straightened out my order correctly and sufficiently. He reorder my soup and had it delivered to me with no additional cost. Pho Craze is one of the best Vietnamese places I have been to. I ordered the calamari and barbecue pork sandwich for take out. On first look I appreciated the fact that I was provided vegetables and pickles for the calamari and sandwiches. The squid was fresh and crunchy and the pickles provided a pleasant acidity to the dish. The fish sauce that was provided was also not too salty or watered down. The barbecue pork was flavorful and not excessively fatty which I often find with some other establishments I've been to. I found the staff to be quite pleasant and helpful with a clean facility. I would strongly recommend going to Pho Craze if you are in the area if you wish to experience some authentic Vietnamese food with excellent service. read more

This place is not the best pho place nor the worst. I heard that it is pretty good for pho so we tried it. Their soup is plain but enough flavor. We only ordered take out, have not yet ate in the restaurant. When we ordered take out the first time, I asked for large but all the noodles/sizes were exactly the same as the mediums. The next time we ordered it, I asked for the meatball noodle soup (kids). There were not additional meatballs or anything. No difference than the plain noodle soup, waste of money ordering the meatball noodle soup. read more

There aren't too many pho's around, but this business opened amid Covid and is surviving. They have good customer service and quality ingredients. The pho broth was still very hot when I arrived home and I only live 10min away from the restaurant. The noodles, veggies and meat were fresh. Whoa! What? Good Vietnamese food in Pinole? I ordered the Nem nuong not knowing exactly what to expect but holy moly it was right up my alley. The texture was perfect for a Vietnamese roll and the dipping sauce was delicious. The darker fish paste is the perfect combination. I came back after a few months of quarantine and glad I did. I came on a Wednesday afternoon and it was super busy. I wanted to support a local business and why not go to one that I know that has good soup. I came and got the Pho Craze Special which includes everything from rare steak to tripe. It was pretty flavorful compared to other places in the area. The veggies that they include with the pho was pretty fresh as well. I also got an avocado smoothie which was a good deal since it was less than $5. Usually places I go charge over $5 for an avocado smoothie because its not cheap to buy them. Avocado smoothie was sweet enough for me but not overly sweet. I enjoyed my visit and will be returning soon in the future for more!!! Maybe next time for the sandwiches and appetizers. read more

Thanks to a Door Dash deal, we were able to order a feast for 2...we had lots of leftovers. I also included a few other dishes I've tried before as well. We ordered: 1) rare steak and tendon pho. 5 stars Wow, the broth was so light and flavorful. It wasn't as oily as other broths can be, which I liked and it made it easier to truly taste all the aromatic spices they use. Both the steak and tendon were tender and fresh. 2) Vietnamese and grilled pork bahn mis The Vietnamese version in the best way I could explain is cold cuts in a sense and I believe there's pate in it as well. I popped mine in the air fryer for a few minutes because I like my bread crunchy, which made it even better. The grilled pork was tasty, not too sweet. I feel like they could use a little more filling both meat and veggies. Mine were mostly bread, but they were still very tasty. (However, there are 2 other places in El Sobrante where I prefer their bahn mis.) 3) fresh shrimp spring rolls Came individually wrapped. I didn't have the peanut sauce because my friend's allergic, but still very fresh 4) short rib rice plate Similar to the grilled pork, same kind of marinade. Not too sweet with a nice char. Since it was all in to-go boxes, I didn't take pictures since I didn't think they would do the food justice. If you are doing to-go they only give out small packets of Lee Kum Kee hoisin, so definitely recommend to ask for extra if you don't have any at home. I also prefer the OG sriracha which they don't give out. 5) shaking beef with garlic noodles their beef was tender and juicy, a little bigger in size than I prefer, but seasoned well. garlic noodles were tasty as well, it was a little oilier than I've had at other places, but overall I'd recommend! 6) grilled pork, egg roll vermicelli or rice plate delicious! No complaints. Definitely recommend their pho! Their broth and freshness of meat makes them my favorite in the East Bay by far and I've had almost all the local spots from Concord to El Cerrito. read more

I finally checked this place out and we were able to sit outside and order dinner on a nice Friday night. My husband ordered the chicken, shrimp & egg roll vermicili plate & the shrimp fresh spring rolls as I ordered the tofu banh mi sandwich with an over hard egg. My husband liked his vermicili plate and said it was really tasty! As for my banh mi sandwich it was actually really good! I love how the bread is really soft for a banh mi sandwich unlike other places where the bread may be too hard to bite into. I also liked how the banh mi sandwich wasn't too oily or greasy as I've experienced at other places. We also ordered a taro pearl drink and a coconut drink but they forgot about the drinks and we didn't get them until after our meals were complete and we had to ask where they were which is 1 star is reduced from 5 to 4.
