Staff were prompt, friendly, and attentive throughout the visit, which was easily the highlight of the meal. I ordered the pho soup and the Vietnamese egg roll sampler. Both were good but nothing extraordinary. The flavors were solid, just not memorable. What stood out more was the pricing: appetizers were over $15, nearly the same as the pho soup itself, which felt high for what was served. Overall, Pho Cyclo still delivers decent food and great service, but the restaurant is aging and could benefit from some updates--especially the seating. When I was almost back to Manassas I received a call saying the kitchen packwr has missed putting the three orders of crispy rolls in and did I want to drive back and get them or get a refund. Update: just got home and found there were none of the normal accompaniments for the soup: no lime, no Thai basil, no sauce, no lime and no jalapeños. I've been eating here at Pho Cyclo since 1996.. they seem to have added a little bit more food choices on their menu and now have desert options which will bring up their revenue. I have been here right after they renovated their dining space and they have always been a great place to get Pho. I dined-in and even ordered two more dishes for my kids on my way out. I thought this place was ok! We tried this place since we heard that had catering and we have an event where we may have considered them as that option. I got the mi xao tom and we also tried the chay giờ chạy & gọi cuốn tôm. I liked the chạy giờ but the peanut butter sauce for the goi cuốn didn't have enough peanut butter. As for my friends & partner, they had different dishes and said it was on the blander side or didn't have enough meat (pho specifically). Broth is middle of the road in terms of both savoriness and sweetness -- it's pretty balanced and enjoyable from the first sip to the last. I really liked how you could get a "small" even though it was still too much for me to finish. (Leftover pho makes for delicious breakfast the next day! They very nicely packed it up for me.) The chicken from the Cyclo 5 Flavors was well-flavored but a little tougher from the grill. The shrimp rolls are a nicely sized portion and very crispy. I have no qualms about the price especially in this economy and I like how it's not insanely busy (especially compared to Eden Center). Parking is super easy in this lot. read more

We had the wings, lemonade, Singapore noodles, Hu Tieu and the beef pho dac beit. We also got an avocado smoothie and the short ribs. We loved everything except the pho. It was good, but just okay. I would like to point out that the service was great and our server was nice. The pho however was extremely disappointing. The broth itself was good and I had no complaints but the amount of meat and veggies they give is pathetic!!! $18 for a bowl with like maybe four tiny thin slices of meat. Also, why skimp on the veggies??? The picture I included was before I even touched the bowl. I also ordered onions and vinegar on the side ($4) and they barely gave any onions either. I've gone to many pho restaurants but this one takes the award for the least amount of meat and veggies. While Pho Cyclo has been my go-to for pho over the last several years. They have an amazing brisket pho and veggie rolls. But this year I've noticed the veggies getting lighter and lighter. The place is full but 2 booths are open. A single person walks in asking for a seat with no one else waiting. He asked me to sit at the bar window because they "can get busy". No shit I'm the customer making you busy. He basically refused service if I didn't sit at the bar at the front window which is questionable seating at best. I live in an area with not a lot of good options for Vietnamese food, so when I visit the Northern VA area I tend to bring home a few quarts of Pho Ga. On a recent trip to Annandale, I stopped at Pho Cyclo, as it came highly recommended. The place is quaint and was busy on a weekday around 2PM. Ordering was simple, as the lady working the counter spoke perfect English and was very helpful, especially since I needed to ensure my broth was packed tightly for the long ride home and that the hot and cold items were packed separately, as I wouldn't be eating this Pho for several hours. I got enough for 5 of us and after we heated the broth and then added all the beautiful, fresh, and crisp veggies and the tender chicken - it was time to eat! The broth was really good, but I didn't notice as much star anise nor cinnamon flavors in it. We still absolutely enjoyed it! I prefer a clear, non-oily broth and that was exactly what this was. Prices are very fair and the restaurant was nicely decorated and spotless too! Highly recommend stopping in for carry-out or to dine in when in the area! read more
