Randomly found this spot for a weekday dinner. Definitely aiming to be more on the fancier side rather than traditional. The prices for amount of food ratio is quite off compared to most other places in the area. The food itself is not bad but not great. The pork/egg that came out was tiny. Service is pleasant and attentive.

So rare that places have bun cha and so happy I could find a place that had it. Pretty good flavor and pork was juicy and delicious. Spring rolls were pretty good. A little burnt. My friend rated her beef noodles only a 3. I'd love to come back and try other things. Also the benches are uncomfortable to sit on for long periods of time.

Delicious food and great service. A go-to place when I come to visit my mother. Yesterday, we went for her birthday and it was great as always. Will never stop coming here!

Love this place. Their bò bía is great, their dipping sauce remind me of the same taste I had back in Vietnam. Bún bò Huế is good too!

One of the best Vietnamese restaurants I've eaten at in a while. I ordered the summer rolls, beef pho (Pho Dac Biet), and a spicy noodle dish with beef and shrimp (special menu). The pho broth was excellent and very aromatic. I overheard other customers saying the shaky beef was popular too so I'll be back to try that next time! The service was also outstanding and the restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated with an impressive and unique variety of plants.

Thank you Yelp! Down in Falls Church on business and was looking for a local spot for great pho on a cool rainy night. Bep Viet did not disappoint! I had the pho with shrimp and it was sheer perfection. Perfectly cooked noodles along with a savory broth. A+++. Love this spot, with great relaxing music. That said, sadly, the table next to me spent about 30 minutes on their cell phone speaking to someone on speaker phone --- seriously??? What the heck is that???!!! No fault of this wonderful restaurant but come on people...put away the phones when you are in a restaurant!

Lemongrass chicken with rice vermicelli Rolls

Food : crispy spring rolls and lemongrass chicken with rice vermicelli Rolls over browned and meh flavor Chicken moist but hacked up haphazardly. Couldn't detect much lemongrass flavor at all. Ambience: dark but dressed up for Christmas. Lots of plants. Service was indifferent at best. Same song played entire time I was there --at least 40 minutes. Very Twilight Zone vibes. Nothing here to make me return.

Visited May 14th 2024. There aren't too many Vietnamese restaurants in the US that serve Bun Cha (and I grew up in Southern California). So whenever I find one that does, I always make it a point to drop in. Customer service Pork Steamed Buns: The pork belly was nice and juicy. The sauce was amazing, although I would've eased up on adding so much to make it easier to eat without leaving as much of a mess. Bun Cha Hanoi: The bun cha here was amazing. The meat was nicely grilled. I loved the addition of the pickled vegetables. The portion of meat was generous. The proprietress was even kind enough to walk me through how to eat it. You typically dip the noodles and vegetables into the dish meat and broth/sauce before eating it. I would have also ordered the cha gio/spring rolls to go with it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a great Vietnamese restaurant in the Northern Virginia area.

First time here. Based on reviews it appeared this is a great place for Vietnamese good. We came in on a Saturday there was only one other table. We were seated but service started out a little slow. We waited to place orders and food was a little slow to come out. The food tasted good. I had the beef stew with egg noodles teh overall flavor was good with good selection of meat and vegtables. Overall the portion size was a little small compared to many other resturants we have been to. The appetizers were ok. The sauces that came with the rolls were ok. Not great but ok. Cafe Suda, I have had better. The folks there were very friendly. The ambiance was very nice. We loved the flowers and this resturant appears to have a full bar. We will have to come back to try other things.

Seems to be a popular place. Walked in and it had 3 tables reserved. Pretty good for a smaller space. After 10 mins there, it got packed real quick at 6:30pm. Got the spring rolls. A little over cooked but it was still delicious. Did the pho. Perfect meal for cold weather! Vegetables nice and fresh. Great customer service and food came out pretty fast.

After three years, I thought it was time to update my review of Bep Viet. The thing is, though, that nothing has changed! Every visit is still 5 stars. The food is still great every time, the ambiance is still lovely, and the husband and wife owners are still friendly and welcoming to everyone. My last review still stands - next time you crave Vietnamese food, make your way here!

As soon as you walk in, it feels like you're at an anthropology store because it has so many beautiful plants and decorations. I went there for fun and it was so delicious. The only disappointment was that they only have a beef broth and I don't personally enjoy mixing beef broth with chicken broth and I do enjoy a chicken broth but nothing upset my stomach and everything was so fresh when you order lukewarm or warm, piping hot... Just the way I like it! I even got a chance to try some shrimp spring rolls and that peanut sauce was amazing. Everyone was so attentive and never had an empty glass and they let us stay till closing time which was so sweet because we were having a friend reunion. Most places are only and sometimes it's more about the food than the service, but I will save this particular location is modern, delicious, it has a great customer service.

Portions were huge! Great casual spot for a gathering. The spring rolls and grilled plates were good, but their specialty isn't the pho.

That was a big mistake because Truong Tien is inside and it is amazing! My son and I started with Banh Beo Nhan Kho Tom Chay, a dish of steamed rice cake topped with fried shallots, dried powdered shrimp (prawn floss) and chicharron which you then can top with a spicy sauce. They come in little tiny dishes that you can kind of slurp the rice cake from like an oyster. The combination of textures and temperatures and flavors was delicious - and not too filling as a starter. We wanted to have a Banh Khoai Nuoc Leo (crispy pancake taco-like dish with a dipping sauce) but they were out for the day (we were there at about 4pm) so instead we had vermicelli bowls (Bun Nem Nuong) with Asian style sausage and fried spring rolls. Topped with peanuts and fish sauce, it was fresh and delicious. The host greets you warmly and offers ice water, hot or iced tea (complimentary) and the restaurant decor is absolutely beautiful. There's also a gorgeous display of food for sale near the register, including fried bananas and donut/beignet sort of treats. I also loved the spicy fermented tofu dipping sauce. All of the dishes can be dipped in any and all of the dipping sauces accompanied by the other dishes. The waitress also brought a small bowl of rice with lemongrass pork for my baby to eat (on the house). The waitress was awesome :) Before tip the total came out to be $52. Today a middle-aged waitress gave me an attitude when she took our order. I come here to kindly eat at your restaurant, I was dressed casual, not dressed to show off or flaunt anything that I have. If it were not for the presence of my companion I would probably have complained to the assistant manager about the waitress' rude behavior. Furthermore, a comment or two on the quality of the food. The seafood bird's nest dish had minimal portions of seafood -- four small shrimp, two small scallops, and three small pieces of squid with less-appetizing pieces of vegetables -- all for $23! Moreover, the shaky beef dish was dipped in baking soda or baking powder, making the dish tastes quite bitter. The bitter taste could hardly mask the fact that the beef cubes have been sitting around for a few days --the meat were partially rotting.
