Some of the best pho I have had in the area!!! A close call with my favorite spot- or perhaps even a tie... :D I think about this place and want to return often. As is with many places in the Eden Center, this is clearly a small-family owned business. Cute, clean, simple! Easy and fast service. Although it says "cash only" in some areas of the restaurant (they should remove these signs), *you can actually use card as well.* One note- as a gluten free diner, it is not clear here what is gluten free. I took an educated guess (I'm not sure the staff knew what I meant when I asked about GF) as most pho is GF, but honestly I would have felt more comfortable if things were labeled or the staff knew what GF was - this is the only reason I have 4 stars, so if you're not gluten free, no worries for you!

If you're in the Eden center area definitely check out this place. It is located in the shopping center closest to the main road and it is one of the first stalls when you first walk in. The restaurant is fairly big so if you have larger parties, I'm sure they will be able to accommodate . The service was very pleasant. They were prompt to get your order and the food came out no later than 10 to 15 minutes. They do also have a large parking lot that is shared across the shopping center, so there's no need to worry about any street parking or walking too far. We ordered the summer roll and the spring roll and both were very delicious and very full of toppings. We then ordered an egg noodle dish, which was also very delicious and the serving of vegetables and meats were very generous, not to mention the size of the vegetable pieces. My friend and I also opted for the pho and the broth was so soothing and clean. Overall, the portion sizes are very generous even for a small bowl.

Top DMV restaurant for sure! We get the same thing every time: - #42, Bun Thit Nuong Cha Gio: rice vermicelli with grilled pork and a crispy spring roll - $16.95. This is amazing, I love it so much. You get a good amount of meat which is delicious on top of vermicelli noodles. They give you a little sauce to pour on it. The crispy spring roll is also fantastic. - Pho - my husband gets this every time. The broth is so good and it is huge! - #3, Cha Gio, Crispy Spring Rolls - $5.95. I love these and they are fried! Great for large groups, they have long tables they can put together. Parking is easy because it is in the Eden Center and the parking lot is huge. No bathroom. Price is very reasonable.

Let's be rieu - you can get pho literally anywhere in the world, but dishes like Bun Rieu and Bun Mam are relatively rare Vietnamese gems that you're not going to find anywhere else in the DMV (certainly not DC, I've looked). Bun Rieu here is likely a light pork broth with some tomatoes, and a slew of proteins (pork bone, cha, crab meat, even a blood cube). It may sound out there, but Bun Rieu is delicious traditional food -- and excellent at Hai Duong.

One of the more popular restaurants at Eden Center easily identified from the outside with their nice marbled storefront. Their menu is quite large, they have something for everyone from noodles to rice dishes and even items to share as a family meal. Portion sizes are great and food is flavorful. I tried the Bo Luc Lac, shaking beef entree and the beef is very tender and cooked well.

Located in the Eden shopping center, the parking lot is large but can be very busy! The shop itself is a little tight and they do not allow strollers. I had my baby in an infant carrier on the floor and one of the employees told me to place him on the table for safety...but then told me no put him in the chair...so I was a little off put by that beginning situation. However, the employee I ordered from was fun and efficient. The bún bò huế was delicious and I don't have any complaints. They were accommodating at the end of the day and our food came out fast.

Eden Center is well-known for its dense and competitive Vietnamese food scene, so Hai Duong's long-standing presence here speaks volumes about the authenticity and quality of its offerings. Our group of six originally planned to dine at Rice Paper, but due to an unexpected extension of their vacation closure, we pivoted to Hai Duong--and I'm glad we did. Tucked just inside one of the indoor entrances of Eden Center, Hai Duong is a no-frills space with ample seating and a clean, casual atmosphere. At 6:00pm on a Saturday, the restaurant was about half-full and we were seated immediately. Service is brisk and efficient--our food arrived in under ten minutes. The menu is impressively broad, spanning from familiar staples like pho (with over a dozen variations!) and spring rolls to more traditional Vietnamese fare such as Bánh Xèo and Bún Bò Huế, and even more adventurous dishes featuring pork blood, heart, and tongue. Whether you're in the mood for rice, noodles, or soup, there's something for everyone here. I opted for the #63: Chao Vit ($16.95), a Vietnamese duck rice soup that's essentially a savory congee with a deeply flavorful broth. It's served with a side plate of duck salad: tender pieces of dark and light meat on the bone, laid over a crisp, refreshing salad dressed in a tangy vinegar-based sauce. You can mix as much of the duck and salad into your soup as you'd like, creating a warm, rich, and texturally complex dish that's both comforting and satisfying. Duck isn't something I often see on Vietnamese menus, so this felt like a rare treat - and the portion was more than generous for the price. Other standout dishes from our table included the Mi Xao Chay ($18.95), a heaping portion of braised tofu atop a nest of crisp vegetarian fried noodles, and the Bún Hai Duong ($18.95), which features rice vermicelli topped with grilled pork, shrimp, shredded pork, and crispy spring rolls. These were all hearty, flavorful, and well-prepared. While the pho and spring rolls were more standard, they were still solid and satisfying. Some in our group remarked on the rising prices of Vietnamese food, remembering a time when dishes were under $10. But as someone coming from Seattle, where a bowl of pho can easily cost $25, I found Hai Duong's pricing quite reasonable - especially given the portion sizes and quality. All in all, Hai Duong is a reliable and authentic spot in Eden Center for a Vietnamese fix. The food is fast, flavorful, and varied enough to keep you coming back to try more. I'll definitely be returning.

This is a pretty good spot for Vietnamese food at Eden. The service is good and the food comes out pretty quick. The interior is what you'd expect with a good amount of seatings. They have a pretty large variety of Vietnamese dishes.

Such a huge variety of food, both classic and unique! This one is always a hit whenever I have visiting friends & family who want to check out Eden Center. Never too overcrowded, and fast service. An extremely solid place that is consistent.

This is a great option for authentic, homey Vietnamese cuisine. I have been a frequent diner here for many years and the main reason why i return is the consistent quality food you can expect here time after time. Service is typical of most Vietnamese establishments... straight to the point and efficient. This last time I had their signature dish... bun cha Ha Noi ( Anthony Bourdain's favorite) and the cha ca Thanh Long. Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious like always. The meats were tender, bursting with flavor and with the added char from the grilling; it was divine!. The broth that the meats marinates in is also out of this world! You have to get this dish when you come here. The Cha Ca Thanh Long comes out of a sizzling plate with filets of fish topped with dill. You eat it with vermicelli noodles and fresh greens. This was another hit for me. I am not usually a fan of dill but paired with the fish; it was delicious.

Got the sweet and sour soup and caramelized fish and the vegetables sauteed with garlic from here for dinner! I love the sweet and sour soup with shrimps here. Everything was prepared and put in a box uncooked except the shrimp and soup were seasoned perfectly! You would cook everything at home so everything stayed fresh! A bit of work but it's fine! The fish were seasoned well and tasted perfect with the white rice. The sauteed vegetables and garlic was a bit overcooked, we didn't like it so won't be ordering it again! This restaurant does have a lot of other variety of food on the menu so will deff order from here again!

this No Frills northern Vietnamese restaurant in Eden Center is my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the DMV area. The service is incredibly fast and friendly. There is usually not a large number of diners around so it is a good place for a quiet yet delicious meal. I highly recommend the clay pot caramelized fish, as well as the lotus root salad

It has become the definitive home base for several of my local groups, and for good reason. The "No Agenda - Just Coffee" Crowd Since October 2025, this has been the quarterly meeting point for a group I help organize (2 entire meetings so far!). We bring together a mix of IT-centric CxOs, startup founders, innovators, govtech, thought leaders, and industry insiders. The beauty of the space is that it handles the "no structure, no rules" vibe perfectly. We show up, grab pastries, and just hang out. It's a low-key break from the grind, and the staff handles the morning rush with impressive efficiency. The Sunday Morning Tactical Post-Game Every Sunday at 6:30am, Northside serves as the rally point for our F3 The Capital workout group. We split up--ruckers head one way, runners another--and we all converge back at the shop by 7:30am. There is nothing quite like hitting the patio after a solid session for coffee, tea, and a high-quality breakfast. The Menu and My Personal "Hack" I've been significantly more health-conscious this year, so I generally keep the order lean. My go-to is a standard drip or an Americano with exactly one pump of vanilla. If you are looking for a meal, the avocado toast and poached egg sandwiches are objectively excellent. However, if you want the best thing on the menu, order the cheddar chive scone and ask them to heat it in the oven. It is a game-changer. The Vibe It has a genuine neighborhood feel. You'll see a broad spectrum of people--from tech folks on laptops to workout groups and families. It even transitions into a great bar scene in the evenings. It's consistent, high-quality, and remains my top recommendation in Falls Church.

The vegetable pancake is delicious and pairs well with everything, but kind of a pricey add on with a large portion size if you're alone or with another person so I often skip it even though I love it. It's also a small building so it can get kind of loud inside and feel a bit crowded during peak hours. Though it was tasty, it didn't have as much flavor as I had hoped.  We ordered it medium spicy as we were warned not to have the spice overwhelm the taste of the broth (we like spicy so it wasn't a matter of degree of heat.)  We brought some home as leftovers so we will see if it has a little more oomph after resting for a day.  The service was good and quick and we appreciated that extra utensils, napkins and to go containers were really easily accessible.  The lot is small when compared to the number of tables inside.  But, as the sign on the door states, you can park at the church across the street.

On a mid-Saturday afternoon, the restaurant was about ¾ full. We started out with the Wonton Soup and the Spicy Wonton soup. The Wonton soup is just okay, but the Spicy Wonton Soup is wonderful and highly recommended. For another appetizer, we ordered the Scallion Pancake. It has a nice dense texture and I really liked it. It would've been even better if it came with a dipping sauce. We also ordered the pickled cabbage. It was good, though lacking seasoning. Our first entrée was ground pork in a delicious sauce accompanied by sprouts and thinly sliced cucumber (or was that zucchini?). Recommended! Our second entrée was a Pan Fried Beef Bun. The beef was flavorful but the bread was kinda dry. Our last entrée was the Beef Wraps. These were great! Who woulda thunk that beef and fresh carrots would go together so well?! Oh, the chili sauce in a jar on the table is extra tasty. At the end, before we got our check, we were given a plate with sliced cucumbers in a light tasty sesame chili sauce. Excellent! But the hot tea was an epic fail. It had no flavor whatsoever. Peeking inside the teapot, all I could see was a micro tiny tea bag floating or sort of sinking. One other thing I kinda don't want to bring up in light of the great food we enjoyed, but need to in the spirit of full disclosure, is to mention that A&J shares space in the building with several other businesses. The restrooms are common to all the businesses. A&J needs to lean hard on the property owner/manager to do a deep cleaning in those restrooms. I'll leave it at that.

The space itself is roomy, casual and comfortable, with tables spaced and seated far enough apart to not feel crowded. We started with the pork and taro spring rolls, which came out hot, cut in half, and impressively crispy! For our mains, we ordered three pho bowls and one dry noodle dish. The pho arrived warm, and adding bean sprouts cooled it down further rather than cooking them through. The dry noodle dish, on the other hand, was excellent in flavor, though also not very hot - likely due to the fresh vegetables (lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber) mixed in. Overall, a solid, filling meal, even if the service and the temperature of the food could be improved.
