I've been to the original location a couple time and decided to pay a visit here for togo order. Sitting and waiting for my order, I observed some wonderful things about this restaurant new location. I love the cleanliness and the smell of Pho when you enter. Everybody are nice here. The waiter even offered some hot tea while waiting. It was such a delight to find Pho Dien 1960 in the Humble area. I've visited the restaurant twice in one week. Rare Beef Pho is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! Beef is tender and flavorful. The broth was perfect and everything so fresh! Egg rolls were just as delicious. This place is very generous with their portions and alot of meat in the soup. I ordered the small pho and had leftovers. The entire staff is friendly and super attentive - EXCELLENT customer service! The older gentlemen gave me a lesson on how to mix sauces for dipping, which was really tasty! I definitely will be returning. This indeed is my favorite place for Vietnamese food! Visiting Houston and was headed to Bush Airport when flight wasn't delayed. Instead of airport food I wanted great Vietnamese. Looked at about 5 places in the area and decided on this place. Had Pho Tai Vien. Their beef broth was perfectly sublime. Thankfully I tasted it before putting any hoisin or sriracha in it. Put it in a dipping bowl instead and never used it. Had a side of extra Round steak and besides the iced Vietnamese coffee all I had. Highly recommend this place. Small menu but really did it exactly how it's supposed to be done. I have to say this location has some great tasting Pho and some is the most tender rare steak I have every had with any Pho I have had. The feel of a family is very apparent, as the owner walks around and ensures that you enjoy your meal and offers tips on how to get the best taste out of your order. Years of eating Pho I finally found out how to eat it correctly. 2 TVs at this location that were turned off and not showing any sports or news. One employee walks around dragging his feet is about the only sound you can hear. read more

This is legit Vietnamese Pho! Most places use a powdered pho as their broth. You can taste the difference with this one using the actual bone marrow to create the aromatic pho goodness. This is literally my favorite Pho play in the Houston area, and I've eaten at many pho restaurants, but I choose to eat lunch here every Wednesday. The Pho broth is delicately balanced, the beef brisket and rare steak is tender, and the portions are large (even the small bowl is huge!). Their hot chili oil is made in house (very potent) and their vegetable egg rolls are hand rolled fresh. Fried to order. Everything comes out piping hot so be sure to not burn yourself. Plus the owner is super nice, pours us tea when we were waiting for our pickup and even taught us the proper way to eat it when we dined in a separate time.
