Pho Fever Bistro is a casual family-owned Vietnamese restaurant and is definitely a good find. With a name like Pho Fever Bistro, I had to order their pho. I chose their seafood pho with the optional vegetable broth. The vegetable broth came out very clear which I wasn't accustomed to seeing, but it was still flavorful. The amount of seafood was a bit on the light side with 3 small shrimps, a couple of slices of imitation crab, calamari rings, and fish balls. It's a mom and pop shop with the FASTEST service I've ever had in my life. You order and they are on in within 5 mins making sure you have everything you need! I usually go for a brisket pho with all the veggies and a four piece sausage egg roll, which is honestly a little more than I can eat but I love to savor the rest for leftovers so it works! I really appreciated that they offer a half order so you can have egg rolls but still have your pho! A great quick and casual pho spot in Sawtelle that serves regular and vegan broth. I live very close by so the location is extremely convenient for me, but in general, this area is less crowded than other parts of town even though there is limited parking in the shopping center where it's located. It's fairly easy to find neighborhood parking or metered street parking if the lot is full. It's quite small on the inside, but that adds to the charm of the place. Everything you order will come out lightning fast and they have all the traditional options on the menu. I started off with a strawberry iced tea with boba and would really recommend it. It's not the bad flavored iced tea, it's homebrew and actually very good. For my meal I chose option two the combo. The broth and flavors were really rich, tasty, and overall I really liked it, but I still am not a fan of tripe no matter how many times I try it. I had the P5 Pho (brisket & steak) - 4/5. The pho was very good. I would say that their meat portions are a bit on the skimpy side, but completely understandable given their prices are very, very reasonable and you can add-on extras (including extra meat). One side note. I am a huge fan of the original Sriracha sauce. Although this restaurant has the original label plastic bottles on every table, the sauce is definitely not the original. There are some nice tables inside, but we were too sick really to go there and I called and picked up amazing pho to take home. Really nice of them because they put everything in separate containers. They have a crunchy element inside (not sure what it is) but it adds a deferent element. The peanut sauce is one of the best I've had. The rolls are filled with generous amount of protein so every bite from each end is packed with flavor and protein. The noodle salad is fresh and filling. The five meat offers a great combination of different textures. Once again, they are generous with the amount of protein. Super flavorful. Chicken is juicy. Pho is also spot on. Once again good amount of meat. When ordering togo they will give a separate bag of beansprouts and jalapeño. I ordered the rare and well done brisket pho, and my friend ordered the chicken pho with beef broth. I came here late Sunday afternoon for lunch after a day at the beach. I had an immense craving for a piping hot bowl of pho and ordered a couple things from the menu. First, the appetizers here are solid. The spring rolls with pork sausage (nem nuong cuon) were fresh, crunchy and came with an amazing peanut dipping sauce. I also got a the fried chicken egg rolls to try as well, which were delicious and crispy. The dipping sauce for this one could've used more fish sauce though. Unfortunately, the star of the show (the pho) was pretty underwhelming to be honest. The broth was lacking in depth, flavor, and richness. The rare flank was also dry/overcooked. I had to lean heavily on the hoisin, sriracha, and extra onions to get through this one. It is strange because the bowl of pho looked and tasted watered down compared to the photos on Yelp, so mabye it was a just bad day -- who knows. I will say that the vermicelli salad bowls, bahn mi, and rice plates all looked really good and would potentially come back to try those. I have been on a long quest to find pho in LA that rivals that of OC and San Jose, but unfortunately my search does not end here. Overall, nice family-run operation with a wide selection of authentic Vietnamese dishes on the menu. Great service on top of that.
