Lovely spot! Great ambience and a unique second floor location, giving you nice city street views…read more Sham, the owner, is so kind and friendly as it was my first time. He just seems like a very caring person. The food was amazing, especially the chicken tikka masala. It's incredible. They also use chicken breast which is great. They also validate parking in the garage adjacent to the restaurant. It is always frustrating to find your new favorite place when you move, so I am glad to have found the spot! It is hard to find a restaurant that you can go to for different formalities, from casual to formal, from friends to your spouse, but they have done it with their service and ambience. I will for sure come back many times!

My wife and I are grateful to have this authentic gem of a restaurant in our neighborhood. Sham,…read morethe owner is such a kind man and as soon as we walk in the door, his staff makes us feel incredibly welcome. Every time we dine here, the service is attentive, the food is consistently delicious, the prices are more than fair. We always end our meal with the same reaction of "I'm glad we came here, that was delicious!" The space is tastefully perched on the 2nd floor providing an escape from the busyness of Wilshire Blvd below and a sense of calm during our meal. We are fans of the booth seating next to the large windows which offer an elevated change of scenery. We look forward to joining them for the $14.99 AYCE lunch buffet, which at that price point seems like a steal given the authenticity and high quality of food they are offering. Thank you again for being what I consider a staple in the Brentwood dining community!

Great location, ambience, indoor decor, customer service and most importantly DELICIOUS FOOD…read more Food is not only tasty but also beautiful. Presentation and fusion of flavors is on point. We loved the Truffle Mushroom Kulcha - it's amazing and the purple potato Ragda Patty was to die for. Must order these too. The Paneer Lababdar and Curry Prawns are also very flavorful. Butter Chicken and Malai Kofta are good but not awesome, it can be better. We went for a birthday celebration and they made sure to make the birthday boy feel super special by serving a delicious complimentary dessert . Have been here twice and will surely dine again. The General Manager was very helpful and friendly too.

I was glad to see more upscale Indian restaurants are opening in LA. Fitoor seemed like it fit the…read morebill. Went there for lunch on a Sunday. The place was moderately busy; but, there appeared to be only 2 servers and a busboy taking care of the entire main dining room and the patio. They seemed pretty stressed. The noise level was higher than I expected. It was due to several families appeared to have run into each other and they were all standing around having loud conversations while being oblivious to other guests' personal space. As far as the food, the menu looked enticing offering upscale dishes with ingredients like truffle. Good concept; unfortunately the execution was a fail. The truffle mushroom kulcha had no truffle flavor; not even the 2 slices of truffle on top. The crust was quite tough; so much so that it was difficult to cut even with a steak knife. My jaw was sore after chewing on the crust for a while. The calamari was also quite tough and chewy. The purple potato ragda patty was the only dish I thought was decent. The black truffle jhinga biryani special was also completely void of truffle flavor and a bit overly salty. Then when the check came it had a "Surcharge Fee" of 3.5% without any explanation. It turned out to be a fee to help pay for the kitchen staff. This hit one of my pet peeves. Why is it not the restaurant's responsibility to pay their staff a fair wage? We are already paying for the meal and a 20% tip and they just sneaked in a mandatory "surcharge". While it was just a few dollars it was more of an issue of principles. Why not just be honest and have the guts to raise the prices of the dishes if they can't afford to pay the staff a fair wage?
