Came in at about 7:10pm, they do close at 8pm. From the time we got in, it just seemed as if they wished we didn't come and give them our business as it was 50minutes before closing. Waiters were both rude and had a real bad attitude. It was almost like we were bothering them by being there. Ordered our food despite having the feeling of they didn't want us there. Ordered the bbq pork plate, chicken pad Thai, and sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls. Pork was under cooked (pink on inside), pad Thai noodle was so watery that the sauce diluted with the water from I guess boiling the noodles, sweet and sour chicken.... I have no good words. Egg rolls were the only thing that was great, oh and the Thai tea was good too. This place really missed the mark, I will blame it on going close to 8pm. Honestly better portions than I'm used to. Taste and ambiance were pretty standard, but pleased with the value because the volume of food is respectable. Easy parking in a shared plaza. Fresh Spring Roll - huge spring roll with an extra piece of cha siu which adds to the overall volume and taste. Tasty peanut sauce which is pretty addicting. I did think the wrap itself was pretty thick though, so a bit tougher to bite through but holds shape very well. Pho Nam - wasn't feeling the standard fancy order of Pho Dac Biet, so settled on just brisket. I was impressed by the sheer amount of meat. Pho Golden makes many pho places across the water look like they're skimping. Besides that, everything was standard--rich broth, heart noodles, and fresh vegetables! read more

We've had food from here three times now since dropping in. It's not usually busy, and it's actually pretty tasty. The pho is good, the spring rolls and dumplings are too. I had a plate that I thought would be different that was good once I got over what my expectations were lol. We are really disappointed by this place. We went to it because we were so hungry after getting our nails done and wanted to help another local business. Unfortunately the pad Thai was not good at all. It was so liquify it didn't even adhere to the rice noodles and it basically just tasted like brown sugar. The stir fry is way over priced for the absolutely tiny amount of protein they give you and it wasn't well seasoned or flavored either. I also got a taro boba.... It completely lacked flavor too. They definitely need to add another scoop of powder. The staff and the owners were super sweet and honestly their pho did look great and there was a few groups of people here eating the pho, so maybe stick to that if you come. Wow! Get your pho fix satisfied here! What an INSANE amount of food for a low price! I was in the mood for a fight and decided to try this restaurant based on previous good reviews. I certainly was not disappointed! i ordered a large #14 house special Pho because I figured that would be a good sampler of all they provide in a Pho. For just under $14 I received over 4 1/2 pounds of Pho. There is a generous samples of various meats, the noodles, the vegetables and also some jalapeños and limes. They also provided packets of Sriracha and Mongolian sauce.The broth was delicious and not salty. Altogether there is enough for two people or more. The staff is super friendly and the wait time was less than 10 minutes. I would like to try dining in there sometime because it seem comfortable and casual. They also seem to turn a lot of food because I saw that there were a lot of pick up orders ready to go. Bottom line is this place deserves three thumbs up! The prices are fair and the amount of food that you get is twice as much as other pho restaurants in the Gig Harbor or Port Orchard area. Great spot for pho if you are craving for them. I usually get pho on rainy/cold chilly day. Came here on a late Sunday afternoon, the place wasn't busy so we got seated right away. This isn't the best pho place I been to but it's good. Me and my friend we both got pho. I got there all in one pho which contain a little of every different kind of meats. Absolutely awful. $15 chow mein that had hardly any noodles and the noodles were like little rubber bands with zero flavor, pad thai that was tiny and almost grey like wtf did they really dish this up and think that looked ok??? The broth for the pho tastes like nothing and the meat came already cooked and dry which it should be raw so it cooks fresh in the broth. I'm so upset that I picked this up and drove all the way home to feed my family and now have to go all the way back and try to get my money back. read more

While the staff were nice, I am sorry to report that the food was incredibly disappointing. It was our first time ordering from this restaurant, so we decided to try a few different items. The mini-dumplings tasted like they had been purchased from Trader Joe's and microwaved. The fresh rolls were bland and dry (though the peanut sauce did help somewhat). The Bahn Mi was bone dry, to the point that we just couldn't eat it. The fried rice was the best part of the meal, but even that was lacking in flavor, and the chicken in this dish (and the sandwich) were as tough as jerky. It was just not a pleasant eating experience, and we were incredibly disappointed, because we really enjoy quality Vietnamese food. Pro Tip: Maybe stick to the pho? I would start with, don't get their thai food. Totally different. There was not a taste of pad thai. Totally sweet and slimy. But i get it, we were not surprised since normally, you would not get a very different cuisine from a vietnamese restaurant. BUT, their PHO and EGG ROLLS are superb!! I just ordered one pad thai and a Thai boba tea extra boba for take out. I was handed the bag and noticed everything was drenched in sauce . As for the boba they charged me a for a normal sized drink and gave me a small cup of boba with a small amount of over cooked boba. read more

I really enjoy their Pho. Super good broth, traditional and delicious! Portions are great, it is truly filling and satisfying. Service is great, genuine, clearly they care about customer experience. Room for improvement: the noodles in the Pho are a bit bland, not quite soft enough. However since the broth is so good, it overpowers the noodle miss. Move to noodles 2.0 and this is 5 star Pho. The meet is good, lean, as it should be. Takeout packaging is great - the Pho stayed hot for an hour! Advice: don't try to Pad Thai. It misses the mark and if that's all I ordered, this would be a 2 star uplifted by the great service. If the Pad Thai can't evolve, better to remove from menu IMO. A co-worker recommended this Pho restaurant and she was spot on. I've ordered from there (take out) twice and was very satisfied both times. First of all their serving size is enormous. A regular size definitely could serve two people generously. Maybe it's meant to and us piggy Americans are eating too much. No offense to anyone except me. Anyway, I order one normal size and have two full meals. I first ordered shrimp. It was great, large shrimps and plenty of them. The next time I ordered the house special Pho and what a treat it was. I really don't understand all these 5 star reviews. My Pad Thai was a glob of congealed rice noodles with a weird sweet and sour sauce. Maybe a teaspoon of peanuts. No spice, no onions, no cilantro. A few shredded carrots. This pad thai never saw the inside of a wok, awful. Red flag was when they didn't ask how many start for heat. BIG RED FLAG. Also order a pho. I hate writing negative reviews for family businesses... so let me first say that the chicken fried rice was good. Now, here comes the bad news: I asked for the "largest pho size" and my picture shows how much pho broth I got. Imagine eating 90% noodles with just barely enough broth to cover it. It didn't taste right. They need to change their takeout portions! Also, the pad thai is seriously bad! So bad, that my wife didn't believe me when I said it was pad thai. We agreed that it's the worst pad thai we've ever had, and anybody who loves pad thai will be disappointed with this version of "pad thai". Long story short: service is quick, pho is on the sweeter side, pad thai noodles were the worst we've ever had... I'm always on the lookout for a good Pho place, so we stopped in for an early lunch at Pho Golden especially since it was a chilly day - and I had a craving for soup. It was around 11am on a Tuesday and there was one other customer seated. The atmosphere was fairly basic. We were greeted and picked a table. We ordered a large bowl of brisket pho, a pad thai noodles with chicken, two egg rolls and hot tea. The large pho was only $1 more than the small, so it's a good value for eating half and taking half home. The tea and fresh pho toppings came out quickly. Next came the egg roll. It had a satisfying crispy crunchy wrapper but the cabbagy filling had little to no flavor. It came with a syrupy sweet dipping sauce which didn't improve things. Not bad though with their Sriracha-style sauce. It wasn't long before the pho and pad thai noodles arrived. The pho was a good temperature and smelled good, but the brisket was a lean cut, without any of the flavorful fat on it. I ate it without adding sauces at first, so I could really taste the broth. It lacked a depth of flavor and was sweeter than I like. It was an OK bowl of pho. The pad thai noodles were very original - unlike any we've ever eaten before. If you're craving pad thai noodles, keep driving. However, if you love the sauce that comes with the egg rolls, this will be your new favorite. We left the noodles and just at the chicken, even though the texture was squeeky. During our meal, we were not checked on for water refills until the bill was brought. Pho Golden may have been great at one time (according to the reviews), but now it seems to lack any joy or pride in what they are serving.
