We came in for lunch at 12. Large parking lot. The place had a good amount of people coming and going. Clean and spacious inside. Floors not sticky. The staff were pleasant and as expected. The food came out quickly and fresh. Bathrooms (two stalls) were easy to access, clean and did not smell funky. Getting out of the lot is a pain in the butt on Bucklin if you're going towards the main road during lunch time. Would recommend turning right and busting a u if needed. We ordered: Half order of chicken teriyaki - 3.8/5 Was good. Sauce was a tad too salty for me. Order sauce on the side if you prefer to control how much savory you want. Regular order of beef teriyaki - 3.3/5 Sometimes when you cook beef, if the meat has a lot of moisture and the pan is also not hot enough, the beef will cook in steam, giving the meat a different texture than if it was stir fried in a high enough heat that gives it a more charred texture. Not a fan of the steamed texture of the beef. 2 shrimp spring rolls - 4/5 Spring rolls were a nice hefty size. Plenty for two of us to share. Sauce was good. read more

This is absolutely my favorite place to get Pho, but this last trip was very disappointing. I went through the drive through as usual, and they gave me the most cold broth for my chicken pho. I drove back threw the drive through and told him that I needed hot broth. They took back through the window.What they had already served me to make me a new order. That would have made me happy but after I drove around with my new order, it was missing all of the ingredients that you add to the pho like the thai basil, limes, jalapenos and such. I drove back around and asked them to make it right. And then this time they only gave me like half a portion, and it was missing my request for white onions. And the guy that was serving me, you seem to be some type of a manager maybe and kept rolling his eyes as I tried to explain what I really wanted. It was really a sad moment for me, because I go through that drive through at least three times a week. I'll go back because it is my favorite place to get pho and it's convenient. I was at St Michaels and wanted real food so my daughter went to Chungs for me. She got us both teriyaki chicken dinners. It was as bad as hospital food, if not worse. Not fresh is an understatement. It was horrible. The cabbage was absolutely disgusting. Do not eat here. read more

I came after 4pm with 3 people ahead of me even then the line moved fast. The only disappointment was the cabbage, and noodles were almost cold while the rest of the meal was still hot. Otherwise, it's a 5 star from me! I got the teriyaki chicken (as a reminder for myself) ask for no sauce on the extra rice since the main portion had been covered too much for my liking (little to no white rice). I've been a customer Chung's teriyaki for over 10 years and I've always enjoyed the quality of the food. As usual, my server was fantastic and very friendly. Well, I normally get the PHO, today, I ordered a Banh Mi sandwich for the first time because the picture on the menu made it look like it was loaded with veggies... well the bread was nice, and the meat was very flavorful, however, the sandwich that they described on the menu was not what came to the table. I just love Chung's! Grew up eating here, my mom would always bring home the Hong Kong noodles. Moved back to Kitsap last year after being away for 10 years, and the food is as wonderful as I remember it! My husband and I love their spring rolls, and still indulge in the Hong Kong noodles at times as well. I just love the shrimp and chicken spring rolls though! So refreshing, filling, and affordable for how delicious they are. And always extra peanut sauce!! read more

More than teriyaki. More than pho. Chung's Teriyaki. Another sign directly below the main sign reads "pho." And that's all I've eaten here. Pho and cha gio. Both are very good. Other tables are served delicious platters of noodles and fried rice. They also look good. Someday I'll have to try them. Chung's Teriyaki seems to execute the basics of a few Asian cuisines equally well. Consider it if you are undecided between Japanese, Chinese, or Vietnamese cuisines. It's a pretty big restaurant with lots of seating and windows. The atmosphere is rather quiet than most places but I didn't mind it all because I personally like eating alone without distractions. We came in at around say 7:40 after a good workout at the YMCA up the street. Any day is a good day for pho and teriyaki, so why not right? I got the steak and brisket pho and my friend got the beef fried rice. I can't say much about the beef fried rice, as it wasn't seasoned well and the portion is surprisingly small for the price. However, the pho I had was delicious! The broth was hot and so good; I couldn't stop drinking the soup. The brisket had parts of fat on it too, so it made the meat tender and juicy compared to most pho's that have the tougher chew. I'd definitely come back here for the pho. Every time I went there the cabbage tasted super abrasive and spoiled I think they're stirring the cabbage too long. The portions are decent and the taste is good if it weren't for the cabbage it totally ruins the meal. read more

Coming home late from meeting, hangry and nearby. Drive through is a bit of a wait but hey totally understand!! Fast to order, zip through the drive through with order hot and so good smelling in the bag next to me! Got the shrimp spring rolls, two type of teriyaki and plenty of napkins. Orders to go are quick, tasty, hot and plentiful. Inside crew working as fast as they can to get people seated, cars waited on and everyone happy full and on their way. I ordered the chicken and egg roll vermicelli bowl. It was SO terrible, I could not eat it. The noodles were rock hard, the chicken tastes burnt, there is hardly any lettuce in the bowl and what lettuce was there was wilted because of this terrible brown liquid on the bottom of the dish. It was drowned. The lobby is not open due to covid so I went through drive thru....otherwise I would return it. In the picture, you can see all the liquid ( I moved the lettuce ). @justpadge_eats I was told by a student while in San Diego *if you ask for Nuoc Beo and they don't have it, leave.* Haven't been here in awhile nor since I learned about nuoc beo, so I thought I'd stop in. First thing I noticed is their pho only comes in one size now. To start their spring roll wrapper was a tad on the chewy side and heavy on the lettuce. Still tasted fine. Asked our server about nuoc beo and she was unsure of what I was asking for, but came back and informed me yes they have it. Their presentation of the broth was different than other places I've been so far but did not take away from it. The broth in the pho stood alone, so not much nuoc beo needed to be added. Meat to noodle ratio is how I remembered it, which is very good. read more

Drive thru open during Covid-19. First time visiting this restaurant. Ordered chicken stir-fry to go along with some dishes I had already prepared at home. Stir-fry is tasty, better than Panda in my opinion. Portions are huge, two orders and had more than enough leftovers. Will be back. read more

I can't fully write a review because I went through the drive-thru. But here is what I have so far. You can see into the restaurant and this place is very packed for dinner. Looking at the menu I decided to get the chicken and beef combo. They ask if you want a fork or chopsticks. Chopsticks of course! Looks like its a little extra for sauce. What made me giggle a little was on the menu board where there was 3 eggrolls for $6 and 1 eggroll for $2. Not sure if that is supposed to be a deal or something they put there to make you think its a deal. Any how the cashier is nice and pleasant to talk. Ordering is easy and fast. I got the steak/brisket pho and beef noodle bowl. I also ordered some of the egg rolls. The noodle bowl was a very small portion of noodles and, disappointingly, the same beef they use for their teriyaki rather than the typical char grilled beef most places do for their vermicelli bowls. The pho lacked flavor and failed to hit that craving. The egg rolls were chewy not crispy and flakey. This is the first and last time I'll be going to the silverdale chungs. read more

Might be the best bowl of pho I've ever had. I'm not a pho specialist or anything but there were some additions to this bowl in which I've never had before. Like bacon bits. And teriyaki chicken! You know...I really like the food at Chungs...I'm a regular; however, I don't believe they could hold onto an "A" rating if the health dept actually came out & checked this restaurant out. I've written before about the disgusting sticky fly traps that hang above their lights just above your table. Well, this visit they had new ones up...which still doesn't change how I feel about them. I had ordered some hot tea with my meal...and, what do I notice floating down & landing directly into my tea?...a large dusty fuzz ball from the fly trap. After snapping a picture of it, I took it to the counter where I showed my waiter...explaining it had floated down from their fly trap. His response? "Are you sure you don't want it??...extra protein!" It was a smart ass comment, & not funny. They didn't remove the tea from the bill (minimal expected)...nor was there an apology. read more

Good food and quick service. Had a small bowl of Steak Pho but the word "small" was deceiving in a happy way. The bowl turned out to be HUGE. There was an ample amount of vermicelli and a satisfying portion of thinly sliced beef. $7.95 for a small bowl is a bargain! The soup was a little more salty than I prefer but it did not detract from the heavenly goodness of the dish. It also did not deter me from adding a healthy splash of Sriracha before tucking in. ;) Enjoyed the large plate of fresh bean sprouts, cut green chillis and lime wedges that accompanied the pho, too! The decor of the restaurant is simple, functional and clean. Although it was lunchtime and there was a fair number of patrons at the time of our visit, we were attended to promptly and our orders arrived in under 10 minutes. This restaurant is a keeper. I've been coming here since HS and for the last year or so I come at least once-twice a week - how have I never written a review for this place?! My five star review is heavily based on their awesome staff. Everybody here is friendly, nice and never rushes me to make my order (even when I stare at the menu FOREVER... just to order my usual weekly special with sauce on the side). They're all personable and easy to strike up conversation with, especially the owner (I believe). He remembers my family every time we come in, and other staff will even ask where my kids are if I come in without them :) My point is: they're all really great! The food is clearly good, and I would know because I eat here very often :) My go-to is the weekly special (chicken teriyaki with either white rice or fried and Hong Kong noodles with vegetables) w/ sauce on the side, but every once in a while I'll venture out of my norm and order Pho - p4 please! I don't remember what exactly is in it, but it's steak (beef). I took a picture of my order today, and it's hard to tell but the serving size for this particular order is HUGE (there's only one size for p4). Chungs is reasonably priced, compared to other teriyaki/pho joints in the area, but their drive thru sets them apart from the others. So convenient! Probably one of the best quick Asian Food places around. It is not terrible just a bit greasy Asian food. Try the Hong Kong noodles they aren't bad and if you like spicy ask for them spiced up. I got mine spiced and they were about a spice level 3 if the scale was from 1 to 10. If you are feeling for some quick Asian food give this place a try. Looks are deceiving! The place looks like a fast food space (Panda Express) but the quality of the food is far, far above! For our first time trying Chung's, we ordered to go, and split a Hong Kong Noodles with shrimp and a Bun with chicken, pork, and shrimp. The HKN were lovely, but not a lot of curry flavor. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, tails removed and deveined, and they were very generous with the amount of shrimp! It came with a chicken egg roll which was disappointing: the tempura shell was nice and there was a lot of chicken inside, however, it was very dense. The Bun was the star of the show: fresh cucumber, lettuce, bean sprouts, cilantro, fried scallion, shrimp, vermicelli noodles, and peanuts with a light fish sauce on the side. My family came here for dinner 5/13/2010. There were 6 of us. I've never been to a Chung's before and wasn't quite sure what to make of the place. Fast food or no? I guess the counter service is for takeout. We had a waitress who took our order, brought our drinks, delivered our order and even processed a cc to pay for the meal. So I guess it's not fast food. The thing is, it looks like it is. Anyway, the food is pretty good. Nothing outstanding, just ok. Everything tasted like it's supposed to. My husband's seafood pho was HUGE. I really liked my chicken teriyaki. Those who ordered fried rice couldn't finish it all and had to take it home. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
