The Bo La Lot is why I bookmarked this place. Pho Ha Tien is tucked away in a strip mall, like almost every Vietnamese spot in Pinellas park. The dining room is large and spacious, so if you're solo or with a big ass family, they've got you covered. I have had the Bo La Lot several times now, along with staples like bun, soups, and cha gio. I have yet to be disappointed with anything I've tried. Sometimes the service is a bit more hands off, so if you need constant check ins that might drive you crazy. But the folks there are so nice and will help you if you need guidance about what to order. The beef stew is now the favorite in the area (beating out old favorite Alesia), but I'll keep trying new things here every time! read more

Enjoyed our lunch here at Pho Ha Tien. We first stopped at Beangood Coffee which is a few doors down, & looking at their menu, we knew this would be a good choice. First impression was they were very welcoming. I asked to sit in the corner booth that just cleared up rather than sitting by the window. They quickly cleaned that table and we sat down. Their menu is very clear and concise and there's a lot of options. We ordered the Shaken Beef with no onion and the Lotus Salad with Shrimp and Pork which also comes with shrimp chips. Both were very tasty. Now just picture this, the news said it was the first record broken for the hottest day of July so far like over 100 degrees. Even so, lots of people still ordered Pho soup. That sure wasn't us, but I was so amazed bc it was just too hot and that's why I ordered my Lotus Salad which was very refreshing. We had great service & great food! Glad we finally checked them out! New spot for wifey and I to try out. I'm sure this has been is for a while. It is off of Park Blvd. They have a nice open space and a few booths if you rather eat in semi private. Prices are fair and they have multiple options on the menu. I saw ox tail pho so I had to get it. When you walk in you're immediately greeted by one of the wait staff with a friendly smile. I recently had a pretty disappointing experience at this place. I ordered mixed stir-fried noodles, but they brought out mixed stir-fried rice noodles instead. When I pointed it out, the staff insisted that I ordered it wrong, even though I'm sure about what I ordered. What frustrated me the most was how they handled the situation. Instead of double-checking or offering to fix the mistake, they still brought the same dish from the kitchen and did not offer to change it at all. I understand mistakes can happen, but the way this was handled felt unprofessional and disrespectful to the customer. I hope the restaurant improves their service and attitude. read more

This is the first time I tried Pho Ha Tien Vietnamese food and I am so happy that I did! Since I was unfamiliar with Vietnamese food I had a lot of questions. The hostess was very patient with me even though her English was not very good she kept at it until she properly answered my questions. For educating me about the various choices she got a $5 tip even though I ordered takeout and did not get table service. Lately, I've been complaining that customer service is disappearing from the restaurant business. Well there are some exceptions to that and Pho Ha Tien is one of them! I would have dined in, but I arrived less than 1/2 hour before closing so had to settle for carry out. The Cha Gio egg rolls ($4.99 for 2) were small but tasty. Instead of the usual crunchy fried covering these were wrapped in rice paper - a welcome touch because rice paper allows you to better taste the contents rather than deep fry oil. My Hostess/Teacher advised me to wet the rice paper with water before eating. The Tom Nuong Banh Hoi grilled shrimp we're cooked to perfection. With a tasty sauce, nuts, chives, and rice. There were well over a dozen shrimp and a salad which is a pretty damn good deal for $18.99. I'm sure I did not use all the tasty sauces and veggies the correct way but it was all thoroughly good and that's what counts. Next time I order this dish I will make sure I sit at a table so can be educated on the best way to assemble all these ingredients. So glad to have finally found an authentic Vietnamese spot with delicious food. We were craving pho the other day while it was raining and found this gem. The service here was friendly and fast! I was a bit disappointed that they ran out of the pho that had either oxtail or short rib with the bone ... it was recommended by my mom but they happen to sell out of it. Popped in and the place is welcoming and spotlessly clean. Always a good sign. I asked for our two Vietnamese iced coffees to go and confirmed it would be made fresh. I sat at the bar and watched as they were prepared. Dark, strong, cold and sweet caffeinated perfection! Quite the tasty jolt! The young man who served me was friendly and professional which is all you can ask. There were other patrons in the restaurant and a group of young children were at a table. This Pho place is my go to since we moved from San Diego, CA. And oh boy it's hard to find a good pho place here where they serve authentic Vietnamese Food! But good thing we found this place. Newly renovated (mid 2022) on the inside. Their Pho is ALWAYS good, and pretty consistent with it. Although some tendons be a little too impossible to chew on. Their broth is consistent as well. Their Vietnamese Coffee never disappoints as well. I have yet to try their bun Bo hue again, hoping that I actually get all the ingredients inside including the Blood Cubes and pork hocks! We tried the fried chicken wings, the egg rolls, the fried shrimp rolls, two different types of spring rolls. Then we had pho, fried rice, a broken rice and pork chop plate, and bun. Everyone loved their food. Portions were very generous, so there were lots of leftovers to take home. The service was friendly and efficient. Tried this place after looking it up on yelp and it had good reviews. The decor was nice and clean and the menu was very easily discernible. Thats where the good ends. Keep in mind for this review, I am the only diner in the restaurant there were no other patrons. I ordered the crispy shrimp appetizer and the widenoodle stirfry with seafood. Crispy shrimp: Oh it was crispy alright. Crispy because exceptionally overcooked the shrimp to the point where the shrimp texture was literally like jerky. They also didn't even clean the vein!! So... yeah.. attention to care was lacking. Wide noodle dish with seafood: the shrimp in this one? IT WAS DEVEINED!! I do not understand why they know to devein the shrimp in this one but not the other?? It was about a 1-1.5 lb dish and it had 5 shrimps, 2 small slices of squid, 3 pieces of small chicken, and 2 fishcake pieces. The rest of it was the noodles and the veggies. No complaint about the amount of protein, but I stress the amount of the noodles because of how they were cooked. Wide noodle stirfrys are meant to be easily separated and eaten with the other ingredients. They literally plopped it in the bottom of the pan and seemed like they forgot about it, because it was literally one gigantic piece!!! What!!! And the worst part? The bottom half was burnt and the top half of it was undercooked. Ive never even seeb such a thing before. 'Surely the service must've been good if the food was like that, right?' No. Remember where I said I was the only patron in the place? No one ever refilled my drink. No one ever came to check on how the food was. No one left me a check even when I obviously pushed the food away and stopped engaging with the food. I had to literally ask one of their busboys(busgirl?) where I pay. The worst part was when I brought the issues up to the person in charge of checks, she didnt even acknowledge it or say anything. What an absolute mess of a first impression this was. I would recommend Pho Kien Giang on 49th street or Asian Pearl on Drew Street for wide noodle stirfrys in the area. read more

Their canh chua was actually worthy of a 5 rating, but everything else brought it down to a 3. The thit kho had a good flavor but was tough; couldn't really enjoy any of the fat on it. Bun thit nuong's meat was also not very tender. And for the pan fried noodles, they use the eggnest noodles that breaks apart like crackers instead of noodles that you can kind of slurp.
