    Chicken satay

I wanted to like this place! But it's not good for the price. I paid $34.00 for beef drunken noodles and chicken satay. This was the chicken satay.. it not only looks bad, but also is way too dry and has no seasoning. The peanut sauce is also like terrible, which is unfortunate. The spice on the drunken noodles is good!! But still not worth the price. I would recommend to go elsewhere!

This is my favorite Thai restaurant on this side of the bridge. Their pad Thai is delicious, great pad sea ew, pad prik king, etc. Great service and definitely a good spot for lunch. Never had a bad experience or bad food, and have gone many times. Big fan

    Vegetable Phad Thai w/o Tofu

So hard to believe how long this place has been here and how long it took for me to try it. Was in the mood for some Thai food and did a quick search on this place and read some of the reviews. Some friends had also told me about this place before too. I decided to give it a try. Walked inside around 7:30pm on a Thursday and the place was empty. I wasn't even sure that there was anyone even working there but I could hear something in what appeared to be the kitchen area in the back of the restaurant. It took several minutes, but then out came one of the workers and I went ahead and placed a to-go order for some vegetable phad thai w/o the tofu (and with a spice level of 5 out of 25), as well as the curry pops and the stuffy wing (which they were all out of due the price increase of them). I went with the spring rolls instead. It took hardly any time at all before my order was ready. The phad thai was really good, but it was definitely lacking on the amount of vegetables. It was a lot of noodles, which I do like as well. Great spice level and great phad thai flavor. Just wish it had a tad (not phad) more vegetables. Curry pops were ok - not sure I'd order them again. Spring rolls were also ok. I would certainly come back here again. It's a staple that has been around St. Pete for decades and there's a reason why.

    Clay pot shrimp-nice and gingery.

Our party of five met for dinner here at 6:15 pm on a Tuesday night and we were the only people in the place, which concerned me. But throughout the rest of our dinner many people came and went, which reassured me. This struck me as the type of place that only locals would come to, located as it was in an almost barren, run-down strip mall. The waiter was completely on the ball, easily accommodating all of our special food requests, diligent about keeping our water glasses full, and giving us rice as needed. For my entree I had the Clay Pot Shrimp and it was really good. The pot was filled with shrimp, carrots, cabbage, broccoli, ginger, and those glassy, thin bean thread noodles. The sauce had a nice, sharp, gingery taste. The shrimp were nice size and plentiful - my only complaint was that they were overcooked. The restaurant was a little too warm, and the restroom downright hot, but other than those minor inconveniences, I would definitely come back when I'm craving Thai food.

I came here for lunch, and they didn't disappoint. The service was speedy fast, just what I needed! The servers were friendly, informative, and very attentive. I ordered the spring rolls and noodles with chicken. Everything was hot, fresh, and very filling. I'd definitely come here again. The noodle dish I ordered, lacked a ton of flavor, but they can add spice to it for you, or you can add a bit of soy sauce.

Pad Thai with tofu (peanuts on the side)

Tried this restaurant with a friend who has been coming here for years. It was very cute and quiet inside. I ordered the Pad Thai with tofu and peanuts on the side. It was delicious! Very flavorful and fresh! The tofu was cooked perfectly. I live so close that I biked there. Unfortunately, there was no real bike parking. I locked my bike to a mailbox out front. Good food and service!

Wow! The food and the service was top notch! Henry was the best and the spring rolls!

    Masaman Curry. Delicious!

This place is a solid Thai place in the Gateway area. From the outside it may not look like much, but the quality of the food is good. The servers here are always friendly and will bring you what you need. The portion sizes here are also pretty good. Not too much where you leave feeling bloated, but also not so little where you leave feeling hungry. The portion size is just right where you leave feeling satisfied. I got the Masamam Curry this time. I love the several large chunks of potato that are in the curry. They do such a good job of absorbing all of the flavor of the curry and help in the process of making the dish a satisfying and filling dish. The toasted cashew nuts help provide texture to the dish and the onions and coconut milk help to give this curry some nice sweetness that balance out the other savory notes. Top it off with some dried chilies and you get a fantastic meal!

Dinner portion Red Curry- very good

Amazing! The food at Thai Wok is probably some of the best Thai Food I have ever had. I always order the Red Curry when I go to Thai Restaurants and there is something about the coconut milk they use and the flavors that just set them apart from all others The ambiance is small and cozy Not extremely elaborate or zen like some of my favorites in the past but decent and comfortable Located somewhat off of the beaten path unless you live or work near, but definitely worth the trip Prices are very reasonable The only con that I found is their lunch portion is quite small at least when ordering to go Myself and others at work were a little upset how small the portions were and that we just paid $8 to still be hungry However, you can ask for the dinner entree instead for just a few dollars more and the portion size is closer to what you usually receive at other Thai restaurants

Absolutely one of the best Panang that I have tried in a long time. These folks have been here since the late 90s- has the same family cooking and handing it down through the family. The chicken was cooked perfectly, the sauce divine and the vegetables very nice. Amazing service and great atmosphere ! Thanks so much for your wonderful hospitality !!!

Ordered chicken pad thai. Chicken was very dry and also not a very flavorful meal. I would not go here again.

The papaya salad was different but had a lot of good flavor. The fried rice was delicious with a curry flavor to it! The Tao dumpling soup was super yummy! We arrived around 10:15 p.m. on a Friday night, with the restaurant closing at 11:00 p.m. Maybe that contributed to our experience, although several other parties were seated after us, so we weren't the last customers of the evening. We ordered quickly since we already knew what we wanted. My partner ordered the special, I ordered the ramen, and we shared the fried shrimp dumplings as an appetizer. Our server was friendly and attentive, though it was clear the staff was beginning to transition into closing mode. Unfortunately, that affected the atmosphere. While we were still eating, employees were spraying tables and mopping nearby. The smell of cleaning chemicals mixed with our food, which made the dining experience less enjoyable. When my ramen arrived, it looked more like a wonton soup or pho than the ramen I was expecting. I didn't question it because I assumed it might be their interpretation of the dish. However, the broth was quite bland, and the vegetables were still somewhat undercooked. The chicken had no seasoning, it tasted like it was boiled within the broth. After a few bites and sips, I decided not to finish it. My partner seemed to enjoy his meal, though he tends to be pretty easygoing when it comes to food. I didn't try his dish since it was very spicy and that's not really my thing. The restaurant is in a great location on Central Avenue, which makes it a fun area to walk around and people-watch. However, with most dishes priced around $20, I expected a better overall experience and higher quality food. Unfortunately, this isn't a place I would return to.

Our food orders: - Tomyum wings. It's a big "YUCK", the wings were fresh, however, not so good on seasoning. They just put some Tomyum spice on the top of the wings and the meat inside was extremely bland. Also, no dipping sauce provided. - Tear tiger salad. We thought it would come with some grilled beef, however, it came out with some kind of stir fried beef. It's an okay dish, but too salty for my taste. - Larb salmon. We also thought it would come with salmon sashimi, however, it came out with fried filet salmon. This one is actually on us because we didn't double check with the waitress. Not the dish we expected, not so impressed. Kao soi duck. The only star of the night. Tasted amazing, we regret that we didn't order 2 kao soi instead. We might come back just to get it. Gotta make it 3 stars because 3 out 4 dishes that we ordered were not so good, especially the wings. Our waitress was very nice.
