Probably the best pho around the area. We usually would make a trip across the bridge to saigon deli, but this restaurant is also very delish. The combination pho is so good and the quality of their meat is excellent. The tendon is our absolute fave- better than any other pho restaurant we've been to. We order our pho with fresh noodles which I prefer, and while my husband also likes it, he prefers the og rice noodz. Spring rolls are fresh and excellent. When placing an order on the phone, the service is usually great and they're fast so make sure you're within 10-15 minutes when placing the order. Tried Pho Lovers with my wife, and have mixed feelings about the place. A waiter we've met at a competing Tampa pho restaurant commutes there from Largo, and we asked him for recommendations in Pinellas Park. That's how we found out about Pho Lovers. Upon arriving we found access to the parking lot dangerous - The cutout from the street is almost upon the parked cars. Inside, we were struck by how Spartan and frankly dirty the place was. But as a guy, I figured I'd been in hole in the walls before this wasn't a big deal. My wife played along. The good news is that the appetizers are very tasty, and the pho was quite good. I chose pho ga, which isn't traditional Thai, but I like it, and requested it in beef broth. Delicious. My wife chose a pho ga "special dish" and it was also delicious. I have a hard time giving this restaurant and appropriate rating because the food was great but the place, frankly, isn't that clean. Makes you wonder what's going on in the kitchen and what's inside your food. The service was good, even though only one person was working in the place taking orders and serving up the food. Anyway, that's why I chose splitting the rating the way I did and giving it three stars. Our favorite neighborhood restaurant! We love coming here because it's within walking distance of our house. This place is always packed, but we are able to get a seat right away. Their service is super fast and the staff is extremely friendly. We got the grilled pork and the grilled shrimp for vermicelli noddle bowls. They both were yummy and had tons of flavor. I personally liked the grilled pork flavor better than the grilled shrimp. We can't wait to come back when it gets a little bit colder out and check out their pho. This place has one of the best beef broths in the Tampa Bay Area. I love how i can get the beef bone too! It was only $10 and had a lot of tendon on it, which i love. I love the bone marrow broth it was very flavorful and delicious. The build your own bowl was good too! One of the guys working there was quick with service but i notice the other servers were not as attentive as him but they were still helpful. The restaurant wasn't fancy which doesn't matter to me. Grabbed togo the other night when I was under the weather! The far was the perfect pick me up. We got both the chicken and the beef pho. I really loved the ginger flavor in the chicken pho and the beef pho was perfectly seasoned. We also tried both egg noodles and their wide noodles. My daughter definitely appreciated the egg noodles more. I barely got to try those, but the other ones were the perfect Homemade noodle. Customer service was also exceptional. They were helpful on the phone and then food was readily available when we arrived. I love that without even asking too. My son frequents here often on the weekends with his dad, so I decided to check out the special pho spot . There is another location on 34th which I think is a different owner. The perks are fresh noodles do come standard with each order instead of up charged. Customer service started off very attentive. Out of the three staff members that we saw I believe only one spoke English . Food and drinks came out quick. Seating area and booths are spacious and not crowded during the time we visited. Parking is one way in and one way out , mostly dirt roads. Take away is less protein offered here . We ordered an additional beef to add variety and was shocked that it came out in a little sauce plate with two pieces of beef. I asked him if this was correct ?as my son mentioned, he usually gets more meat when ordered. owner continued to say yes this is expensive meat... $16 a pound. This is 1 pound here. It's been a while since I measured food but according to my visual, it's nowhere near 1 pound. additionally, they would not give us a check prior to paying I was just told a total of $47. So pay before you can see what the breakdown of costs are basically . We have a little to go seafood restaurant in Tampa and this whole inflation on food prices is absurd. My dad has yet to increase his menu prices or cut down on quantity in 15 years while serving seafood. We are talking about noodles ,broth, chicken and beef here . $20 for a bowl of pho in a city with several other distinguished Vietnamese restaurants does not seem worth the value here . I could not finish my bowl because of the meat to noodles, proportion, happy with the artichoke and limeade drink. Anyways, I was not going to say anything because I do try to support our local Vietnamese restaurants . However , while paying for the 'check' that I did not receive the older lady, I believe to be his mother started to talk trash about me in Vietnamese. I will not repeat what she said, but I politely looked at her and said "i do understand Vietnamese by the way." I may not look Vietnamese, but I do understand more than one language. Went for lunch with a friend and the place was busy with to go orders and tables. There were only two employees but they were the owners and I guess a couple of employees were off. The man was very helpful as we had never eaten this type foods so he took the time to help us. We both got bowls with wonderful veg's,mine with seafood and my friends with chick. I dropped by this Sunday afternoon to get some pho with handmade noodles for my wonderful wife! We've never had pho with handmade noodles so this was our special chance! Special Pho was recommended on the local Facebook group Tampa Bay Asian Foodies! I called ahead to place our to-go order and we ordered the special pho, pork vermicelli (my favorite), spring rolls and shredded pork rolls. I popped in to pick up our order and Tony kindly greeted me. The restaurant is absolutely spotless with an open kitchen. The AC is perfect and I was happy to be in such a clean, friendly and pleasing environment. While I waited, I saw on the counter some bags of dried chicken/chili/garlic/lemon leaves. It's called Kho Ga La Chanh! Whoa! What a fun combination! I got one of these bags to go also but we haven't tried it yet. On a whim, I asked Tony for some chili sauce and he provided a nice to go container of his homemade sauce. My wife was super pleased and said it was fantastic! Our meals were excellent even though we had to drive home 30 minutes and make a stop. My vermicelli with grilled pork and veggies is very well flavored. Special Pho is a new Vietnamese restaurant in Pinellas Park. The building is new and so clean inside. They can fit large size parties, which is why our family likes going here for meals, since it's easy to accommodate all of us easily. They have a small staff, so the food takes some time to come out from the kitchen, but everyone has been very courteous and friendly all the times that we've gone. The restaurant is new, clean, and big windows so it's well-lit inside. I highly recommend their fried chicken wings in fish sauce glaze. They fry the chicken SO CRISPY but keep the inside juicy. We ate up three appetizer plates before our meals came out. I've had the wonton soup with egg noodles and bbq pork. The bowl tasted delicious, but the wontons are so tiny. There is barely any filling in them. Might be a good bowl for kids to share, but I wouldn't recommend. The first time I ordered it, they didn't put the bbq pork in. But on the next visit, they had it in the bowl. I enjoyed the Grilled Pork rice plate. The pork is tender with lots of flavor, and they give you a lot of sides. I prefer eating rice plates during hot weather months when it's too hot to eat soup. Of course I have tried the pho at Special Pho. The broth is flavorful and it comes with lots of meat. There are many Vietnamese restaurants in Pinellas Park to choose, but I've mostly enjoyed my food at Special Pho. It's clean, has lots of parking and they have a wonderful staff. Out of the two Special Pho locations, this one is my least favorite. I've been here quite a few times and the ant infestation creeps me out mostly. I also find that the menu here is not uodated as often, there is less parking, and the building is not doing too well. Special Pho is known for their house-made made, wide rice noodle option in their pho. Which they are sometimes sold out of. However, my favorite dish at Special Pho is their Shrimp and Pork wontons in their Hu Tieu. Order it without the hot lettuce, or your soup will taste like lettuce... read more

Dirty, dingy hole in the wall. This place was highly recommended but I struggle to find the reason why. They were out of the vegan broth and since I don't eat meat my options were limited. In all fairness they did offer to make some fresh vegan broth for the pho but said it would be another 20 minutes. 25 minutes passed from seating until our food order was solicited.... Given the absence of vegan broth, lack of proper sanitation for the establishment, and unusual service delays, we decided to leave. As I left, I observed a dead roach in the area near the bathrooms. Also, they had no hand soap. Hence, I can't speak on the food quality but I can comment on the service and establishment conditions. Lots of Vietnamese places on Park Avenue in Pinellas Park. I've been to a few and noticed this one the other day on the drive home. From the outside it's not much but inside is pretty spacious. I was there early for lunch and there was only a few people but more came in. I ordered it goi cuon and it was really good. I also ordered the combination seafood hue tieu which was very flavorful and one of the better ones I've had recently. The best pho broth in Pinellas! It isn't oily or too salty or too sweet. The broth is perfectly balanced & the portions are huge!

Let me just start by saying, I'm Vietnamese and I would rather eat here than eat home cooked Vietnamese food. It's just that good!! The owners, Tony and his wife, go above and beyond with this place. You can truly feel their heart and soul in all of their cooking. If you want to go where the locals go, this location (Pinellas Park) specifically, is the place! As you can see in my photo... the phó was so delicious that all that is left is an empty bowl lol. My go-to order is the bone marrow & meatball phó with the fresh phó noodles. Omggg don't even get my started on the fresh phó noodles. This is the ONLY Vietnamese restaurant in FL that has served it. Complete game changer. Absolutely 10/10 would recommend!! read more
