The food from Pho Hong is actually still pretty solid. I have introduced several different friends and they all seem to like it. The pho broth is consistently good and they do not cheapen you on meats. It's one of the few places you can get dimsum and I think they do a decent job. My favorites are the turnip cake and the bbq pork baked buns (not steam). The pineapple bun was dry and the custard was crumbly so I wasn't a fan. My parents actually ordered a ton of food from here during Chinese New Year and everything was quite flavorful. The beef chow fun is probably one of my favorites in Colorado. There's a lot of wok hei. Overall, space is big enough to accommodate large groups. Parking is a hit or miss in the center - don't come during Chinese New Year unless you love searching for parking and tight spaces. read more

This is the best Asian food in Denver hands down. At least I think so. It has the biggest menu and the weight staff is willing to accommodate all of your needs and everything that I have ordered has been done so well here. They have dim sum. They have pho they have Thai they have Vietnamese grill dishes. They have desserts. They have Boba teas. They have coffees they have drinks. You could injure a small pet with the weight of the menu here it is so big. I brought my son and he was really excited to see tripe on the menu . I've been here on dates and I've been here with friends. It has been a huge hit with everyone. I've seen young kids come in super excited because it's their favorite place too. I have ruined a couple of white shirts slurping on soup here because it's just that good and I don't care now. I know better. I wear black shirts when I come to this restaurant. In my opinion, this is a must try if you are hungry for Asian food. It is super authentic. It is super delicious. It's not overpriced. It's definitely not pretentious. Always tried their food at pop ups so today I decided to sit down at their restaurant. Servers are nice and helped me select my lunch entree. I went with the durian smoothie with boba and salted fish fried rice. The smoothy did have the durian taste and a slight smell. Like coming home. The salted fish fried rice was delicious. I tried the pho tai nam, the bun and a couple of dim sum like the bbq pork buns, taro rice and shrimp roll. M The stand out was the bbq pork bun. It was top tier. Everything else was very mid and surprisingly catered towards the major population instead of keeping with true Vietnamese flavors which is why everything tasted mild to us. The pho large was HUGE like bigger than two peoples faces together. This place gives Vietnamese and Chinese options which is also surprising because everyone there was Vietnamese (workers). Very authentic feel and lots of employees to help. We caught them early so most of them were eating. The place was very cold, I assume because we got there too early and the place didn't have time to warm up. My pho was hot when it got to the table but the broth got cold too fast, so the meat wasn't cooked thoroughly. Dumplings were tasty and my wife enjoyed her egg drop soup. I ordered a plain black coffee, but they gave me a vietnamese special black coffee. I wasn't ready for this and it was super strong. As for service, they dropped the food off and left. Nothing else to speak about. The waiter must be living there because he had a serious case of bed head and didn't care. All of the other waiters and waitresses looked professional. Overall, the food was good but it tasted more like cooked packaged food than handmade Vietnamese cooked food. Located in the traditional Asian shopping center, Far East (off Federal), Pho Hong is serving up some great Asian dishes with quite an eclectic menu! They have everything from Vietnamese, Chinese & dim sum. Parking gets congested but there are tons of tables in this space. The menu is good & the portions are great! The service is quick too.. it's pretty fast casual; a big menu & you pay at the counter when you leave. The meatball pho was super tasty! We also shared a few dim sum dishes - the shumai, xiao long bao, and potstickers. The shumai were huge & definitely good bang for your buck bc they tasted good too. The dough of the potstickers was a little too thick for my liking. The xiao long bao are served in individual tins so the soup doesn't seep out of the dumping, brilliant! For our second night in Colorado, June 19, 2024, we wanted to have Vietnamese food for dinner. Searching through yelp, I looked at many restaurants, filtering out those who serve cha gio (Viet fried egg rolls) with bubbly wraps, and we settled on going to Pho Hong. Located in the Far East Center on Federal Boulevard, we immediately found a space in the parking lot that was practically in front of the restaurant. We arrived around 6:15 PM sans reservations and were seated immediately. The dining room was tidy and well kept. Even the women's restroom was nice and clean. Below are the items that we ordered: SINH TO BO Avocado Smoothie ($6): Mom ordered this blended drink, topped with whipped cream. The avocado flavour was extremely faint to being almost non-existent. Mom said that, "if you really try, you can taste a little bit of it." I replied that you should not need to put any effort into tasting a flavour. Ca Phe Sua Da ~ Vietnamese Iced Coffee w/ Condensed Milk ($6): This was my beverage order which was too strong in taste for me. I took the drink home to keep in the fridge and consume later. Nope, couldn't do it. Even the next day, after the ice fully melted, I couldn't handle the taste. I never thought that I could meet a Viet iced coffee that I coudn't drink until this time. Soda Chanh ~ Soda Lemonade ($4): No complaints nor comments from Auntie Ligaya nor Alyssa. Tra Nong ~ Hot Tea ($4) - Yep, that's right. Tea is not free here. C2. BANH CUON XA XIU (3) ~ BBQ Pork Rice Noodle Crepe ($5.95): Alyssa seemed to really enjoy this dish and ate them all. Cha Gio Rau Song ~ Egg Rolls w/ Veggies & Vermicelli Noodles ($13.95): DELISH!! Paying extra for the veggies and noodles was so worth it! They were great to eat with the perfectly golden crisp egg rolls. Mom enjoyed this appetizer so much that we almost ordered a second serving. M17 MI XAO GION BO (Crispy Egg Noodles w/ Beef, $16.95): YUMMY!! Pho Tai ($13.50 for Medium): Good. Com Vit Quay (Roasted Duck Rice Plate, $16.95): The duck skin was very crispy, just as requested. B9. BANH TRUNG ~ Egg Tart ($5.55): The flaky layered crusts made for EXCELLENT egg tarts. They were probably some the best I have ever had. We ended up ordering another serving for to go. A7. BANH CAM (3) ~ Sesame Bean Paste Rice Ball ($4.55): The sesame balls came out piping hot and crispy. Service was nice and friendly, though one of the waiters was a bit forgetful. We also had to ask them to clear out the empty dishes as our table space was getting crowded. If I lived in the Denver area, I would probably be one of Pho Hong's regular customers. read more

We live in Douglas county, but I won't hesitate to come here if I crave for some good pho. Great portion makes it even better. Next time I would share a medium bowl and order some dim sum items with my husband to have all the good stuffs together without having extreme food coma. Bbq pork bun is a must with every visit. 3. Atmosphere: 4/5 when you enter, it has the vibe of "neighborhood favorites". I see good mix of Vietnamese customers. I haven't used their bathroom but the whole stores seems pretty clean compared to other pho spots I been to. Get the pho here, it's ginormous and I believe no MSG used because I didn't go crazy after water later If you want it all: dim sum, pho, Chinese noodle dishes. Vietnamese noodle dishes, stir fries, rice plates... you name it. Pho Hung would be a good place as they offer a good amount of everything. You know what that means usually, nothing is extraordinary when they try to cover everything. Dim sums were ok, I doubt they have an on site dim sum chef. Surprised to find whole fish on the menu, would like to take advantage of it now that every time I go. Service couldn't have been friendlier. Dim sum and pho? I mean this is such a fun spot if you're looking for these items! A newly remodeled restaurant with lots of bright lighting, Pho Hong is an airy and inviting spot. My pho tai was absolutely fabulous. The broth was warm and inviting with lots of herb options on the side. I also was so happy with the vinegared onions I asked for on the side! We ordered xiu mai was well and it was enjoyable. I think next time I want to continue to focus my efforts towards the pho and perhaps some of the salt & pepper dishes. There were so many employees on a Sunday afternoon. They were all so friendly and smiling. You have to pay at the register. I got a bowl of large pho to share. It was still too much food because of the other dim sum items I ordered. Pho was good. It came with so much meat! The fried shrimp balls were great. The sugar canes were old and sour though. The shrimp in the cherng fen (shrimp roll) was tough, like overcooked. The shu mai was pretty average. I'd come back and try other dishes! Parking is plentiful in this plaza. This location used to be China Jade for over 30 years. The new restaurant Pho Hong is Vietnamese but it also serves dim sum. I made a special trip down to Denver to try it out. The dim sum menu is not very extensive, but it has most of the popular dim sum items like shrimp dumpling, shumai, BBQ pork bun and sticky rice in lotus leaf etc. The price is comparable to other dim sum places. In general, the dim sum were okay but not great. I also had a pan fried flat rice noodles. The flat rice noodles were pan fried to like a crispy pancake, the sauce with the meat and veggies were poured on top. I think this may be Vietnamese style, but definitely not the Chinese Chow Fan. I only ate half and took the rest home. By the time I got home in about an hour the crispy noodles became dry and chewy. The noodles that soaked up the sauce were to soggy and salty. This is definitely not a dish that I would recommend for take out. The service was adequate. I ordered 3 dim sum dishes and they came out 3 separate times in a 15 min span. read more

We stumbled upon this gem while looking for a place to eat in Denver. It's located in a pretty busy shopping center with lots of other food options. Luckily we found parking fairly easily as cars come and go. We were greeted upon walking in and it didn't seem too busy around 4pm on a Saturday. It had a nice, chill atmosphere. They provide two menus, one for dim sum and the other for their regular offerings. We got a little of each... the baked BBQ pork bun, chicken feet in black bean sauce, grilled pork and egg rolls noodle bowl (vermicelli noodles), soup, and salted fish fried rice. Nice atmosphere and gets loud due to so many people coming in and out.The only bad thing was that there was no changing table in the bathroom for babies. Discovering a new spot to share with you guys is awesome! Especially on the iconic Federal Blvd. St. @phohong used to be China Jade about 1.5 years ago. We were in the area and wanting to warm up from the inside out. We found this on Yelp and they had an almost perfect stars score! So why not? We had the pleasure of trying their app Baked Bbq Pork Bun, Wonton Duck Egg Noodle Soup and Beef Rib Rice Plate. All three taste absolutely legit and so yummy! We just got spring rolls and something off the Vietnamese special menu. Can't remember what it's called but essentially it's packed vermicelli noodles with a meat of your choice (we picked roasted pork) and it comes with fresh veggies and dipping sauce. My friends and I were a group of seven coming in a little before noon to grab lunch on a Saturday. We were seated right away with no wait. We were lucky enough to miss the crowd because as we were ordering, waiting, and eating our food, more and more people started to show up. My boyfriend and I ordered two Vietnamese Iced Coffees with Condensed Milk, Bun Bo Hue, Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce, and the Chow Fun Dry Style (not exactly what it is called on the menu, since the pictures on Yelp are outdated compared to the current menus we had). The food was okay. Below satisfactory and expectations on our end unfortunately. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. The Bun Bo Hue wasn't as flavorful as what we are used to and it at first, we thought it was incorrect upon appearance. It wasn't as red as I expected, but maybe because it isn't served spicy here? Not too sure. It also took a while to get the Bun Bo Hue. Our whole table was almost finished eating and we still didn't get our Bun Bo Hue. The Vietnamese Iced Coffees were good. We had to add in more water after we drank from it since it was super condensed in the coffee flavor. The Chicken Feet weren't memorable, have had better at other places. The Chow Fun was REALLY BIG.
