My Beef broccoli could use a few more extra beef slices though so I just took a few beef slices from my boyfriend's Bun Bowl which had a lot of meat on it. They have an Impressive menu, lots of protein options ( beef, chicken, fish, shrimp and tofu ) and a variety of vegetable forward choices. Really good Pho and plentiful. Looks like a new establishment, but very busy for a late afternoon. I ordered the combination pho and hubby orders stir the chicken stir fry with rice. Both were a hit! The stir fry had plenty of large vegetables with a nice gravy. I ordered a rib to go with my pho. It was a little tough for my liking. Decided to try this place for a Saturday dinner and I think they changed ownership. We walked in and greeted nicely, and sat down to see the menu. They have pretty great selections and the service was nice and attentive. The pho broth was hot as I like it and not too salty. We ordered small size meatball pho and it's pretty big. Both of my daughters shared it and they couldn't finish it. The garlic butter tofu is also a nice sharing appetizer, very different than regular fried tofu and definitely can't stop eating it. The portions are massive, and I crave it on a monthly basis, especially during the colder days. Omg, today I finally tried their bun bo hue. I wanted to marry this bun bo hue. We dropped by as a party of 5 at 5:30 and were seated promptly! We had the eggrolls as the appetizer but it was honestly a little disappointing; they were not crispy. The portions they gave were hefty and filling, we ordered the beef rib pho, grilled pork vermicelli, and grilled beef and shrimp paste vermicelli. We had leftovers and left sufficiently full. Flavor wise I rate everything about a 3-- the green Thai tea had a very floral aftertaste that was overwhelmingly perfume-y and artificial, and I asked to switch to normal Thai tea because it was undrinkable. The entrees weren't particularly outstanding, just alright. Been to Pho Island a few times now, and it is honestly pretty good. I am used to having Vietnamese food in the Garden Grove area, which is has a larger Vietnamese population and a lot more restaurants, so I have had much better Vietnamese food compared to here. Overall, the food was okay. The pho is pretty good, and the portion size is very generous. My favorite dish I've had here was the bo luc lac. It was really flavorful and I would come back if I am craving some Vietnamese food and am not in Garden Grove. The service when dining in is very good! I have to admit I love Vietnamese food I have for many years after growing up in Seattle. This place is really nice that there's a lot of seating. It's very clean and there is pretty good size. They have a lot to offer, but I had some good old-fashioned. Pho had to get mine with the flank tendon and of course filet mignon steak added extra peppers and it was delicious. The real fun part is they have a little delivery robot that will wheel itself over to your table delivered to you right on the spot the service is very quick even the human service so I recommend coming here.
