Heard about this place, relatively new, opened late 2025. Very good dumplings, especially the wrap was excellent ! The 'little buns' were soupy, nicely flavored. Strongly recommend. Their spicy wonton was excellent !! Strongly recommend to give it a try - very good restaurant

XLB here is truly authentic and tasty, very much resembles the ones you would find at DTF Taipei or HKG, and better than any DTF around SoCal IMHO, maybe even Dynasty Paradise. They have very thin skin that miraculously doesn't break, which is really difficult to find in US. And best of all it's so close to home! By the way the decor is cute and reminiscent of an old school Chinese restaurant but has a modern feel to it. Cool place to hang out with friends or family over ice cold Tsing Tao beer.

I came to this place with my mom to try their xiao long bao dumplings. Place recently opened and located near the 71 fwy in Pomona. We usually get their seaweed and beancurd salad ($6.49), hot and sour soup ($10.99), string beans with garlic ($14.99), chicken fried noodles ($14.49), and pork xiao long bao ($13.49). The xiao long bao is juicy and the dumpling skin is thin. The soup was fine, but we did like their string beans and chicken with noodles dishes. They were seasoned nicely, the green beans were crunchy with a good amount of garlic. They have a Glendora branch as well. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

I give this place 4 stars because the soup dumplings satisfied my cravings but there was major drama in the kitchen today during lunch on Valentines Day. What could they be possibly yelling so loudly about where the customers began to noticed and grew quiet. Literally screaming at each other in Chinese back there. Our server was efficient and nice. Like another review mentioned, inside is clean and basic (or outdated) but that won't stop me from coming back. I'll be back. Going to Din Tai Fung is somewhat a trek from San Dimas. I also noticed a lot to go orders being made and picked up. The restaurant is spacious and there were a good amount of people eating there as well. I just hope the staff in the back get a grip on themselves and not yell at each other unprofessionally.

Food similar to dtf however it's far from it Taste soup dumpling xlb skin is a bit dry and not much soup inside dumplings Portion is quite small for the price. Some xlb only come in 5 pcs Atmosphere and decor looks dated and old and not very inviting Very empty on a weekend Sunday Service is average even with only 4-5 tables less than half full. Biggest downside is portion and price really doesn't leave much impression for me to want to go back

One of our old friend works here and it turns out that the chef used to work with DTF (Din Tai Fung). No not what you think! Yeah the dumplings and hot and sour soup were both spot on. Dumpling was juicy. Soup was pretty good but a slight difference in my opinion. I would definitely come back.

Everything was great! The food was yummy! Tastes and looks exactly like Din Thai Fung, but with a reasonable price. Service was excellent and the food came out fast! We ordered five dishes but the picture showed picture with only three dishes. We also got the Juicy Dumpling (XLB) and Spinach with garlic. Plenty of parking and the ambiance was nice and friendly.

Food. No reason to drive to DTF. Perfect! Service. Today, fantastic. In a few weeks when the line is out down the block and the wait is over an hour, we'll see if they're still as wonderful Ambiance. Brand new. Nicely decorated. Pleasant and friendly. We're already planning who were bring here next.

The place finally opened and wow, it was worth the wait! We came with a small group so we could try a little bit of everything. As soon as the staff started bringing out our food, we noticed something familiar... turns out the entire team, including the chef, worked at Din Tai Fung for 20 years before opening their own spot! You can truly taste the passion and craftsmanship in every bite. The dumplings were spot-on delicate, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Everything we ordered was excellent. If you're in the area and love dumplings, this is the place to go. Think Din Tai Fung quality, Thumbling charm, and genuine hospitality. They didn't disappoint this one's going to be a local favorite in no time.

Super delicious food and a convenient location ! My friends and i got xiao long bao, fried rice, bok choy, the braise beef soup (i think) and the dessert xiao long bao. They were all really good and enjoyable. I will agree with other reviews that the dough can be a little dry but that didn't ruin anything for me, it's only the top tip lol. The staff was attentive and friendly and the place itself was spacious and they were playing Harry Potter so that's a plus haha !

The dining room is beautifully laid out, making it a great spot whether you're grabbing dinner with family or meeting up with friends. Our waiter was one of the highlights of the experience--friendly, hilarious, and genuinely attentive without ever feeling overbearing. Great service can make or break a meal, and he made us feel welcome from start to finish. Now for the food... absolutely delicious. The Orange Chicken had the perfect balance of crispy texture, sweet citrus flavor, and just the right amount of tang. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was cooked perfectly--crispy, tender, coated in a creamy sauce that wasn't overly sweet, with fresh candied walnuts that added the perfect crunch. Both dishes came out hot and fresh. Everything about this meal--from the service to the food to the ambiance--made for a fantastic dining experience. If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant in the Pomona area with generous portions, flavorful dishes, and outstanding hospitality, this is definitely worth a visit. I'll absolutely be back to try more of the menu. Highly recommend!

That's basically half the retail cost of an actual head of cabbage. I bet it's the actual cost wholesale. There's being cost conscious and there is being cheap and unserious about descent customer service. Here's a thought, instead of weighing the amount of greens you place in a bowl at the start of the salad build, how about weighing what the customer purchases at the end? Much better model for customer satisfaction and I bet your revenue will increase as well. Until then, stay away from these cheapskates....

The lunch menu is honestly hard to beat-lots of options, generous portions, fresh ingredients, and prices that make you do a double take in the best way. Every plate comes out hot, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. You can tell the kitchen takes real pride in the food, not just rushing things out. I tried the lunch special combo and was seriously impressed. The orange chicken entrée was perfectly cooked--rich, savory, and well-seasoned without being overly fried or greasy. The white rice was fluffy and fresh, and the egg roll made the meal feel complete rather than an afterthought. The iced tea was cold, sweet, and tasty as well.
