    A whole coconut!
    Nishika R.

Was looking for some good pho in the area, and this place was recommended above others by some friends who are local. It was an okay experience- it really did not live up to the hype that it was given. When you walk in, there is a very cute interior, and the ordering area was nicely decorated. I had no idea they sold whole coconut with the water inside until we walked in- and I had to try one! It was delicious and I would definitely not pass up the opportunity to try this. For our meals, we ordered the chicken pho, pork chop pho, steamed pork buns, and the pork gyoza. The best part of the meal was the pork buns and the gyoza for sure! Both were bursting with flavor! For the pho, you did not get that much for what you paid for, and the to go containers were difficult to maneuver and oddly enough did not fit most of the food since the broth comes separately from the contents of the bowl. The broth was also on the bland side and was nothing special. Additionally, we ordered carryout, and it took 1 hour instead of the 25 minutes they told us, which was mildly annoying since we were not given any updates about our order while waiting there. In the future, I definitely will try dining in to see if the experience is any better!

This place was great! So clean and cute atmosphere. The food was actually so great and my brother and I left feeling full. I didn't care much for my sea food pho, maybe because it was kind of minty and I personally didn't care much for the squid, which kind of tasted flavorless and squishy. I probably would've rather gotten the beef pho. Everything else was honestly great though Sadly they do not have a tofu or vegan friendly option for the pho at all. Even the seafood pho has beef stock I believe. My favorite dish was probably the pork buns. They were served very hot and exceeded my expectations. We will probably be back sometime! My brother ordered basically the beef pho. He enjoyed a seaweed salad (vegan), summer rolls (not vegan). The spring rolls have egg in them and same with the dumplings in case you're vegan.

Super bummed. Ordered pho with tofu. I asked if it came with veggies and they said no... and then I asked if they could add some. I literally got bland broth with romaine lettuce added to my pho. seriously? Never going back.

My husband and I decided to try this place for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It's small and quaint. You have to get there before the "rush" to get a table. We decided to try their steamed buns and we each ordered the seafood pho. Both were delicious! Everything came out steamy hot! The service was fast and friendly. The place was super clean and neat. We loved the decor and they incorporated a big TV nicely. Parking can be difficult. We will definitely come back, but probably as a take-out order than eat in. Worth trying!

Bottom Line, If I were in Kent I'd definitely stop for Pho again. The herbs, bean sprouts, and sides were all fresh and the Pho was very good. The summer rolls were just average, if they had spicy peanut sauce I'd order them again, but they do not. Next time I'll try the crispy spring rolls. They had a passion fruit soda that was phenomenal. I'm a sucker for passion fruit and this soda had real passion fruit in it. 5/5 on the soda. Grabbed a Vietnamese coffee for the road and it did not disappoint

It's was okay, I think I'm ruined from other pho restaurants. The pho was okay the sides ingredients sauces, spices etc where lacking. We ate inside service wasn't bad but not great either. Altogether it was a mediocre experience. I wouldn't go out of my way to travel to it, but would go back if I was in the area.

The homemade pork buns had a pillowy dough with a great, flavorful filling. The eye of round pho was one of the best dishes I've ever had.

I went to Kent for an adventure, found Hue Banh Mi & Pho on Yelp! so I gave it a go. When I walked through the door I knew the food was going to be good because it smelled like I was in the kitchen hovering over fresh cut veg, fish sauce and lime. Yum. I got two pork banh mi and summer rolls. I ate half a sandwich and one roll at a nearby park and had the other half for dinner when I got home. The bread was perfect--crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The veg was crisp and refreshing and the pork delicious, tender and moist. The summer roll was good, peanut sauce was perfect and I got a side of nước chấm so I could double dip. I had the second sandwich for breakfast.* I happily saw they put mayo on the banh mi so I asked for none and they made it without. Yay or otherwise yuk. I will make a special 55 minute trip to eat here again. *I go between Detroit and Cleveland on the regular so I usually get a banh mi for the road and one for the next day. Hear me out--deconstruct the sandwich and wrap the veg in a moist paper towel and seal in a glass jar. Store the bread in the paper bag it came in and put the meat away as you normally would. The next day wet the paper bag and put the bread in the oven for about 5 mins. Reheat the meat on the stove top, reassemble and enjoy.

Hole in the wall, buried in a 1970's strip mall between a sex toy shop and a girdle store (yes…read morethat's apparently a thing in 2026?!?). When I say this is the most surprised I've been in a hot minute, this isn't hyperbole. We got a bowl or pho, along with some spring rolls and a Bahn mi sandwich. Server was very nice, although he had his hands full basically running the entire dining room. Considering there were probably eight tables all filled, containing 15 people or so... his accuracy and speed were actually pretty impressive. Only small hiccup was he forgot the Diet Coke's we had ordered. But all things considered, that's not bad at all. Spring rolls Fresh, crispy, plenty of veggies bursting from the seams. Served hot, but not so hot it melted your mouth. Came with a seeet and savory dipping sauce. After crushing them, I was sad I didn't get a second order. We're off to a *very* good start. Pho 1/2 Traditional Vietnamese pho. Salty. Spicy. Umami. Fresh veggies blanched to perfection. Quality noodles and broth. Very generous portion size. Perfect warm and savory dish for a chilly Ohio evening. Would 100% get again. Bahn Mi Absolute star of the show. First, the baguette tasted like it just got off a plane from a Parisian bakery. Buttery, soft, pillowy inside, with a firm, crunchy outer shell. Slight hint of salt and sweet. It came filled with a delectable grilled pork. Not the cheap kind you find in most Asian dishes as filler. This was quality stuff. Perfect balance of salty and savory. Also came with fresh cucumbers, shaved carrots, daikon, and leafy cilantro complimenting the pork. I often use a "how many minutes would you drive out of your way to come back to this place" scale. For Pho LV, I gave it a "30 minutes" rating. Which is absurd. It's the second highest rating I've ever given a place. Unfortunately I live about an hour and 15 minute away in Stark County, so I won't be here often. However, if I am anywhere near this place again, I am 100% stopping back in and satisfying that craving. Cause oh Lordy was it worth it.

Was charged extra for sliced onions ($1.00) and received very little and it was not the typical thinly sliced vinegar onions of a traditional Vietnamese place. Extra meatballs and steak were both placed in the pho broth container. This is the driving force behind the star reduction. I was disappointed the steak was placed in the broth instead of on the side (ask customer preference). Paying extra for meatballs ($3 each, got 2 orders) they should be in their own container (not reducing my pho broth volume as both were placed in the one container)! The ambience is typical of any small pho place/ doesn't need to be fancy. Very nice menus. Enjoyed the summer rolls and peanut sauce. I would say this is par for the course for any Asian cuisine for this area, but as a lifelong weekly pho eater, this is a let down.

In addition to pho, the restaurant offers banh mi and vermicelli noodle bowls, both of which I had during my most recent visit. I opted for the special banh mi ($8.95) and vermicelli bowl with grilled pork & egg rolls ($14.95). The banh mi came with some Vietnamese cold cuts, pate, mayo, pickled radish, carrots, cilantro, and jalapeño. The sandwich was delicious. I loved the bread, which was so crispy on the outside and so light & airy on the inside. The veggies were fresh, and the cold cuts & pate were flavorful. The noodle bowl was also tasty. The bowl came with a generous amount of noodles, a decent-sized portion of tender grilled pork, an egg roll chopped up into pieces, bean sprouts, carrots, and other veggies. It was served with fish sauce on the side, which I used liberally along with Sriracha. If you dine in, there is a big bottle of sriracha at each table. In addition to being delicious, the noodle bowl was so filling. Between the bowl and sandwich, I left the restaurant stuffed. The service was quick and friendly. The vibe is very casual. I was in the area at the Lorain Library (main branch), and was craving a cozy meal. Pho Ever had a catchy name and was only a few minutes away (drive). What's more cozy than pho? I made a quick and good decision to visit. AMBIANCE: The restaurant is one open space simple cultural decor. The space well fits groups and single guests. Multiple comfy booths are available along one of the walls and there are plenty of tables. Decor includes Nón Lá (Vietnamese conical hats) around the perimeter of the restaurant, vases and flowers, wood carved rooster art, prosperity wall hanging with laughing Buddhas, and other decor typical of Asian restaurants. There is also a blue sky ceiling fragment. The atmosphere is very simple and casual. The restaurant is not the cleanest. That includes the floor, the bathrooms, the tables, and teapots. Everything could use a deep clean. FOOD/DRINKS: The menu features appetizers, rice plates, vermicelli stir-fry, pho, fried rice, ramen noodles, combination plates, and optional add-ons. Drinks were not on the menu. There are few pictures of the menu items to point you in the right direction. Each dish has alphanumeric value for simple ordering. I noticed that the prices are pretty value-oriented less than many other comparable restaurants. I ordered my default Vietnamese restaurant order - pho, rolls, and hot tea. More specifically, A3 (2 charbroiled pork rolls, $5), A4 (charbroiled chicken rolls, $5), P3 (pho with eye round steak and well-done brisket, $14), and jasmine tea ($2 for a tea pot). Rolls had a generous amount of meat. I loved pork rolls, but didn't like the chicken. I found it to be too dry. I did not use the accompanying sauces since spice is not my favorite. Pho included a large portion, plenty of meat, but the broth had some slightly lemony undertone that wasn't my favorite. Jasmine tea was perfectly hot and light. It was a very comforting meal due to hot tea and hot pho. I also loved that the food was delivered with a pouch with chopsticks, fork, spoon, and big spoon for pho. SERVICE: The service was very pleasant, quick, and accommodating. There was one waiter serving quickly filling dining room. He was excellent and very attentive! I was seated very quickly. My food impressively arrived within minutes. All other guests had all their questions answered with patience. Huge compliments on the service! The restaurant was extremely accommodating to groups. They expeditiously moved tables together for large dinner groups. I was at the restaurant before 6 PM and the restaurant was already almost full with more people pulling into the parking lot. It seems like it's a popular local destination. PARKING: There is plenty of parking available to customers. Dedicated parking lot rather than shared plaza arrangement. My experience was pretty positive. I was especially impressed with the excellent service. It wasn't the best Vietnamese food that I experienced, but pretty good for a casual Sunday meal. While I wouldn't go out of my way to travel here, I'd definitely stop in while in the area.
