Local friend said this place is a must-go for pho, so I decided to check it out. We could choose outdoor patio or indoor seating, and customers were nicely spaced apart. The house special beef pho had a good variety of cuts (didn't have many innards which I prefer) and broth was amazing. Perfect balance of light yet savory taste. Large size was actually not as big as I thought - I wish there were more noodles inside, but the price wasn't too bad. Spring rolls were a bit of a miss for me. The inside had a lot of vermicelli and lettuce which was a bit bland, and the meat was really thin and dry. I wish there was more tender protein or even the crispy fried filling (wonton stick?) some places have. Definitely had better, but the sauce was decent. Overall, would recommend this place for their solid pho! Prices were also pretty good as well. Next time, I'd want to get another bowl of pho and try another dish. read more

One of my very dear friend and I visited Pho King in Upland for the very 1st time back in April 2021. I know... this review is long over due LOL... better late than never. Our visit was in celebration of my friend's birthday. It was just the two of us, but we ended up sitting at a big table. I have to say, the table arrangement inside is a tad off especially on the left side near the front door IMHO. Anyway, we ordered a couple Pho Beef Noodle Soup and egg rolls for appetizer. I don't eat beef so I gave my meats to my friend. Even though I don't eat beef, I'm okay with the beef broth... go figure LOL. Beef broth was savory and delicious. The rest of the pho ingredients are pretty standard... rice noodles, rare steak, and herbs. What makes the dish is the broth. The egg rolls were decent... I've eaten better. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Service was quick. Prices were average comparable to other Pho restaurants... pho is no longer $7 or $8, we're looking at $11 and up. Parking is plenty as it is located in a big shopping center. Give them try when you're nearby Campus Ave in Upland. Happy Pho'ing! read more

BEWARE! Ordered to go yesterday. While signing the receipt, the male helping me audibly smirked at me not tipping. Drove home and checked my order before adding the broth to the noodles. There was a long black hair placed at the bottom of my noodles. Returned the items and confronted the male (late twenties, pierced ears). I absolutely do not recommend supporting this business. I'm sad to say that they have lost me as a frequent customer. I ordered through postmates today 11/29/2020 when I received my order my vegan pho was missing. No problem, I go to the app report my food missing. Then I get a refund through Postmates. Cool, I re order the vegan pho. The issue is how I received my food. Someone made the decision to microwave the old food and the styrofoam is melted into the broth now. I can not eat it so it's going into the trash. I called to speak to a manager and both employee and manager were extremely rude. I would come here again it's located on campus where it's busy and parking is across the street. It's busy and I love that's it's family owned you can see they all care about the restaurant and customer service they provide . The waiter was kind and professional everyone is busy doing something helping out one another . It's clean . It's not anything that would catch your eye the interior is simple but nice . They have no changing station in the bathroom for mothers to change their baby's . That was a bummer . No masks required what a relief. I have to say this is my first time I leave a yelp review but I feel like it's a must. We ate lunch here on Sunday and I must say the food was delicious and my husband and I said we were going to come back; however, right before we left I got up to use the restroom and notice it was locked, so I went back to my seat and waited for whoever was in to come out, I knew it had to be a worker because my family was the only people inside, when the worker came out she was a kitchen staff, I know this cause she walked right back in the kitchen leaving the restroom. Now my problem with this is that she was still wearing her apron and she was also wearing her gloves. She walked in with her gloves and walked with her gloves on. When I seen that, that honestly made me sick to my stomach because that meant she didn't care to remove her gloves while she used the bathroom nor washed her hand, then walks back into the kitchen with the same gloves to contaminate everything in the kitchen. Very disappointed to know that whoever is in charge does not make it a MUST to remove apron and gloves to use the bathroom! We will not be returning back to this place. read more

I must say the food here is fantastic, it was my first time dinning in. Usually I only order the fresh roll to go. But today I must say their Pho (House Combo) is terrific. The Broth is just right, and if you like spice just squeeze a little Sriracha, but not too much or els you might ruin the broth. The sliced beef vermicelli is awesome as well. Disappointing. Today was my first visit and probably, only visit. While the food was good, when I come to a restaurant, I come there to eat the food not be bothered by a salesman. I'm not sure what his actual position in the restaurant was, owner or employee, but he was going table to table trying to sell a super expensive water alkalizer. The Pho Ga dissapointed..so much cabbage, carrots, baby corn. The vegetables take aeay the chicken flavor. The broth was ok. The amount of vegetables are too many. Also there was a lot of noodle. The service is better than the first time. This restaurant has a good potential to grow. The food is pretty good . People in the area needs to know about this pho place. My son decided to take me out to dinner when we decided to see if this place had officially opened. Everything was clean and the food was delicious. I forget which pho my son ordered but he was happy and it hit the spot. The beef in the banh mi was tender and flavorful. My disappointment was not having more picked items on the sandwich. The service was good when we arrived, but we were not really checked on after the food arrived. Our drinks were not refilled until I had to stand up to get their attn, event though the empty glasses had been sitting at the end of the table for some time. We were not sure if checks were to be brought to table or we had to go to the front to check out. After waiting we went to the front. This place is a definite must try and we will be back again. The food that is good is really good! I love their vegetarian spring rolls with the peanut sauce is do bomb! And i always get their vermicelli. But some of the food just doesn't hit the spot. So ngl it's not a 10/10 but what they do well they do very well. And for the price It's not bad at all! We always have the same server and you can tell he's just very hard working and always accommodating. And i do like that there is indoor and outdoor seating.
