It's a family tradition to stop by here before we continue on our road trip to Las Vegas. Been doing that every since I was a kid and up until adulthood until my parents decided it was better if they just went on vacation on their own without me and my brother. I believe they got big enough to absorb the restaurant right next door. Service is as with most other Asian places. They're there, you get food, and that's that. Sometimes by the fact of just being Vietnamese you can converse with other Viets, but they don't push it here. Perfect, casual ambiance. But can get busy for the lunch rush, at least when we visited. As always, I get the Pho Tai, my go to for every pho place. Super flavorful and full tasting broth, decently tender enough meat with a normal amount (not too generous, but not skimping out either). Noodles had the perfect texture. You get all of the veggies and other toppings quite generously as well. I've eaten here a number of times, but recently I tried their chicken pho. I'm glad that they're not lazy about it and just use the beef broth for the chicken pho. They also give you the ginger dipping sauce that goes with the dish, but not many places give you that outside of the OC. So, their chicken pho is legit. So is their Vietnamese coffee. Not every place makes a good Vietnamese coffee, but this place does. When you arrive at the restaurant, wait to be seated. Once you're done with your meal, pay at the counter. This is standard for many Vietnamese restaurants. Service is quick and helpful. If you need anything, just flag any available server down. Definitely a good place to get a nice bowl of.pho or some solid Vietnamese food when you're craving it. read more

I don't think I've been here since I was in my early 20s... so like 14-15 years ago? I don't even remember how it used to look, but they definitely expanded the place from what little I can remember. What I *DO* remember though was that it used to be good, which is why I figured why not stop by for old time's sake? Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment which sucks because the moment I walked in it smelled amazing and I was expecting the same level of quality as before. It's not bad by any means, but it's not memorable. Average is the perfect word to describe it. I ordered a large xe lua and the bowl they came out with was laughable. If this was large, I can't imagine what a small would've looked like. While I don't enjoy the temperature of my food to be screaming hot, I would've appreciated it if it came out at least somewhat hotter than what I was served. Their BBH was also pretty average, but at least it was still hot towards the end of the meal. Both the pho and bun bo hue were severely lacking in salt. I had to request for fish sauce and sate to make things more flavorful and exciting. At least the BBH had a lot of stuff in it at $16 versus my $18 "large" bowl of pho. Service was fine/friendly, the place is clean, and honestly the pricing is quite fair for most things, except the portions are pretty small for what it's worth; at least for the pho anyway. Rude, unprofessional, and needs to be health inspected . I am beyond disgusted by my experience at Phở Hà. While eating, I discovered a large moth right in the middle of my plate of lettuce and vegetables. When I pointed it out to the staff, things went from bad to worse: * Zero Accountability: They took the plate back to the kitchen and acted like nothing happened. * No Apology: I never received an apology for the contaminated food. * Insulting Excuses: They actually told me it "wasn't their fault" that a moth got into the food and claimed the meal wasn't contaminated. If this is how they handle a blatant health code issue in front of a customer, I hate to think what the conditions are like in the kitchen where guests can't see. Their lack of concern for food safety and basic hygiene is alarming. Save your money and your health--STAY AWAY. read more

I cannot recommend this place more than how already lovely it is. I am in love with this restaurant and the servers and FOOD! I have only been coming here for about a year and every single visit I leave satisfied. The place is always decorated for the holidays and its clean and cute. The servers are kind and attent. Now the food! I would only visit for their Pho Tai Nam or Bahn Mi. I love the grilled pork Bahn Mi and make-your-own Pho. They have an amazing Shaken Beef plate that comes with white rice and small broth bowl. Their shrimp and pork dumplings are 100/10! the thai teas are tall and as sweet as thai teas should be. Their Taro drinks are delightful. Please please try their menu to the fullest extent, you won't regret it. Their prices are INCREDIBLE! 12/20/24 Hubby was feeling a little under the weather so we decided to look for a place for pho with Yelp's help we found this place. Staff greeted me right away & happily placed a couple large orders of beef tendon pho.. I kid you not the order was ready in six minutes!!! Wow! Not bad for the cost of $14.95 each, to my surprise, when I got home, they didn't skimp on the noodles, broth or accoutrements. I am very pleased with our choice & how it turned out. It was packed well & beautifully. I am very impressed. The only complaint I had was the flooring was a bit slippery. I almost slipped even though I had on non skid shoes. It looked like grease film on the floor-/ just be careful. The staff at the order desk showed genuine concern & asked if I was alright because he saw I almost fell. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated, looks clean, bright & airy. It does close early (9:30 pm on a Friday night) & it was not busy with just a couple of tables occupied by patrons. The area around the plaza where the restaurant is in looks a bit dark (parking lot) with a few people hanging around (makes it look a little sketchy. Pho Ha is a traditional Vietnamese restaurant in Pomona next to the El Super and across from Tierra Mia. There's plenty of slanted parking in the lot in front as well. The servers were super nice and accommodating, they made substitutions and brought things on the side when we asked. We ordered 2 phos which were seasoned well, had well cooked meat, and a good proportion of noodles to soup. The portion size was good for sharing and the prices were affordable for the quantity. Usually arrived at this place after my clinicals. As a student nurse, I've always been looking for quick and fast meals that I can eat that will fill me up and that's affordable. As a Vietnamese Restaurant, Pho Ha provides that well with their Com Tam, also known as "broken rice". I highlly reccomend the Com Tam Suon Nuong, that comes with a porkchop, rice with garnished green onions, fresh vegetables, and tomatos. Sometimes it comes with an egg if you order one, but I believe their policy has changed (you must order an egg for your meal rather than just receiving one). I always leave here feeling full and I definitely reccomending ordering it to-go in case you're busy. They fill the portions generously, and they don't skimp on the meats. This original Pho Ha location brings back nostalgic memories of my childhood. Back in the olden days this was the only pho restaurant in the area if we didn't want to drive to Little Saigon. On Saturday mornings when my mom was at work this is one of the spots my dad and I would come to for lunch, since he loves pho. We also came here after I passed my drivers license test. And I remember coming here with my cousins after some late night studies in our high school and college years. Every time we come here, we run into people we know. It's pretty bad. As we were driving here we were joking how we ran into my aunt on a date the last time we came. And then when we got there we ran into a few of my parents' close friends. Awkwardddddd. I don't think I would come here with anyone I'm not related to, for fear of rumors from the local Vietnamese phone tree. Anyways the restaurant looks great from what I can remember. They have expanded and upgraded the interior. It's still owned and operated by the family that we've seen there throughout the years. Service is really straight forward, no frills. My dad ordered a hot pot of tea to share and a Ca Phe Sua Da, which is a Vietnamese iced coffee. I like that they bring it out with the dripper and side of ice. I ordered a Rau Ma, which is a penny wort juice that has good antioxidants For our food, my dad got a small Pho Dac Biet ($13.50), which is their house special with beef eye round, flank, tendon, tripe and meatballs and an extra side of Bo Vien ($4.45) which is a side of meatball in beef broth and I had a Pho Tai Nam Bo Vien ($12.50). Before I even eat the pho, I was already impressed by the vegetables that it came with. When I go to a pho restaurant I respect them if they had Ngo Gai, Culantro, which is this herb we feel like is essential to eating pho. My dad is so sweet he let me have all the ngo gai cause he said he eats pho more often than me. We both enjoyed our meal and got some food togo for my mom. Will be back the next time my dad wants pho and we don't feel like driving to OC. read more
