This is a spot to slow down, sip, and enjoy really thoughtfully made menu items and drinks. We enjoyed stuffed mushrooms (exceptional) and a very fun spin on fresh avocado toast with fig salami. Americano was a great crisp, bold brew and the more adventurous Big Easy Coffee combined a little Nola chicory flavor with an espresso base. It was a treat without being overly sweet. This is a lovely neighborhood spot. When you first walk in the atmosphere is calm and inviting. I initially went in to grab and go but once I spoke with the barista I realized I had time. The owners are so sweet and you can tell they really love what they do. I absolutely love the new space! Such a chill atmosphere and I really enjoyed just relaxing and having some coffee and a sweet treat. I absolutely loved my iced coffee! It had a mocktail whiskey, brown sugar cold foam, and espresso! ( I had already eaten some of the cookie that goes on the rim haha) I literally dream about the tiramisu cake, it's so soft and not overly sweet, and it just goes so well with the coffee. My husband is from the south and loves chicory in his coffee, he had The big easy coffee and said it was the best he had ever had. and that it was better than Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans. First time there and we were with a group. It was lovely. The owners are sooo nice and sweet. We had a Chai Tea which was served in the prettiest little tea pot and teacup. I had the decadent Bourbon Oat Cookie and we split a Tiramisu. My drink was wonderfully sweet, and I could really taste the coffee. The Tiramisu was served chilled and plated with raspberries. It was so good we had a hard time sharing! The owners made it a point to make sure we were good and had everything we needed. The people that work there were nice enough but the store was kind of weird looking, set up more like a cheqp french bistro than a coffee shop, I asked for a to go coffee with cream and suger. After they made the coffee they said they didn't do cream and suger at this place other than flavored coffee which I thought was strange. They are a black coffee or an already flavored coffee sort of place. I was really confused as cream and suger coffee is how most people drink it... I asked them if they have half and half or cream and they gave me a couple of those gross chemical filled oil fake coffee mate creamers and 2 packets of suger. I told them I like my coffee sweet like sweet tea and I like it creamy like melted ice cream and the guy looked at me like I had 5 heads as he handed me a few more creamers and suger. The cups were made out of some thin paper that folded up weird on the top. After I put my nasty fake oil creamer and the​ suger packets in there I tried to close it up and it spilled all over the place dripping out of all the holes. I asked him what is up with the coffee spilling and he said its because they don't leave any room for cream and suger.... I just stared at him. He then helped me clean up the mess and poured what was left of my oil infused ashtray bitter tasting coffee into another wierd folding cup. I apologized for the mess and left. I found out about this super cute shop because they carry a brand of chocolate that I always see adds for on social media. I'm so glad we stopped in the owner Russ (I believe, I'm awful with names) was the NICEST person ever! We talked with him for probably 10 minutes he was just go friendly and great. My husband got one of their red velvet cheesecake cold brews and he LOVED it! I don't like to drink coffee but tried the dirty chai cold brew and it was really good as well! The best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. Had the CBD-infused Purple Slipper blend, which came in a neat biodegradeable paper cup. I got the caramel apple-infused blend while my husband got his unflavored, but both were amazing. Owners are very welcoming and knowledgeable. I wish we weren't only here for a couple more days. Next to Dillard's on the first floor of the Chapel Hills Mall is this royal purple and silver-gilded coffee boutique called Drip Queen Coffee. I went through the doors and Russel Moss and his wife Zakiya dropped what they were doing in the back and greeted me right away. I asked Russel if someone had reserved the coffee shop for a baby shower or a girl's day out, and he said, "no, we always set it up the tables nice like that. We want to treat our customers to a get-away from the stress of life that's just outside this coffee shop. Like Alice in Wonderland for adults!" I asked what their drinks were like and got a mini-world tour of their coffee and tea; products imported from a family matcha farm in Japan and the best of blooming loose-leaf teas in London; all specialty, but I saw a flavor called Dark Chocolate Pistachio and a coffee specialty called the Purple Slipper which was CBD infused. Yay. It came out to me in a biodegradable cup smelling like a chocolate truffle with that smooth and soothing flavor of quality, 0% THC CBD. There is a clothing, and apparel, home decor, jewelry, tea ware, bath bomb and soap niche in the back that vibe with me. One if the placards for the wall said "Go Ahead, Underestimate me. It'll be fun", French Buldog art, and other graphic-T's that tell others to back up in a cheeky, winsome, and feminine way. I have never had a bad experience with the product or ambience or the owners. I am usually getting a coffee once or twice a week for the last 9+ months - the unique creations for the flavors and the carefully sourced and roasted coffee are delightful. Of course they don't roast their own beans... it's a small shop in the mall... but they maintain 100% control over all aspects of the process and do an amazing job. I have become friends with the owners over these last months and am grateful for their contribution to the mall community (my son attends tae kwon do there, otherwise there is very little reason to go to this mall). If you just want caffeine, go to MCD, if you want a fancy fru fru frappe, go to Sbux, if you want a friendly chat and a fun local experience with delicious coffee and a unique (decor-inspiring ambiance), come to Drip Queen, you'll be glad you did. Just decided to come on to the mall, explore after seeing the Garden of the Gods. Found this little hidden gem right by the Dillard's. This place is amazing, for coffee lovers and tea lovers alike.
