Hands down the best Phó in Escondido. When the restaurant was first being renovated, I spoke to someone, presumably the owner, who told me that his food was going to be very fresh and very delicious. He also said his chefs were some of the best. He did not disappoint. The Phó was so full of flavor it's crazy. The egg rolls are also very fresh and delicious. I ordered a meal and was given the wrong order. I told the waiter and he said I definitely ordered that. What had bugged me most was that I had a long conversation about the plate I was ordering with this waiter and had order a side of rice since this plate going to be a crepe. Instead I get a fried rice with miso soup and an extra side of rice that I had ordered. That was the only thing they got right on my order, the side of white rice. When I got my tea and asked where the boba was the reply was, we ran out, we will give you extra next time. Excuse me? Very good food and the people seem great. Ate here for the first time today. We had the vegetarian crispy crepe, the chicken curry with rice (my partner said the best she's had---perfectly spiced and with the right amount of coconut milk; watch out for chicken bones), and stir fried chicken and snow peas. My crepe was delicious, with creamy tofu complementing the crispy rice flour based crepe, served with a mound of super fresh mint, purple basil, and romaine, plus fish sauce. I didn't see banh mi (French bread sandwiches) on the menu, so you might have to go elsewhere for that. This place was recommended to me by another yelper and I recommend it to you. Dont know how the ratings are so high. The server was nice and polite but that doesnt make up for the lack of flavor in the dishes. I tried out there regular pho with a side of meatballs and that was nothing to brag about. My wife tried out their curry rice and that was hands down the most bland dish I tasted. It was like it was watered down and they didnt care and still served it. I brought it up so they can change it for future visitors. We wont be back that's for sure. read more

This place was great, family owned and of course I was skeptical at first I wasn't sure if I should go in since my last visit for Pho in NYC was terrible service and food. Well I got over it and walked in only to be greeted by one of the family members of the Lee family. Alex was our waiter and was very helpful with how we could eat our dishes. He really did open our pallet and explained to us what each ingredient or condiment went well with what dish. I am a regular now and I will definitely continue coming to this restaurant. I don't eat a lot of Vietnamese food, but thought all we ordered was excellent. Went with my sister who has never had Vietnamese food and although she was somewhat confused with what to do with the extras put on the table, she agreed, all was very good. On another note, I have eaten in a LOT of restaurants over time, and I have to say, I received some of the best , most friendly service I have ever gotten .... which sometimes does not happen when you're a old white lady (like me) in a restaurant, much less an Asian restaurant ..... which is sad as I love Asian food in general. I've been trying to visit a bunch of different spots close to my work on my lunch breaks. Decided to grab some vermicelli because I was craving it. This little spot is located in a not-so-fancy plaza right off of Valley Parkway. I called in my order from looking on their website (LOVE it when places have a menu on their website) I ordered the egg roll vermicelli and substituted the egg rolls for vegetarian ones (no charge) and was told it would take about 10 minutes. Once I got to the restaurant I was really impressed, its so nicely decorated and CLEAN. Best part about it was that the music that was playing was The Weeknd, I was so excited about that. In my mind, i'm like this is my kind of restaurant lol. The young guy at the register was super sweet and very welcoming. Even asked me if I'd like some water while I waited for my order. Overall I really liked this place and would definitely visit again. Good food, great portions, friendly customer service, and great ambiance. Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because shortly after eating my meal I got a bad headache which happens when I eat certain dishes at Vietnamese restaurants, not sure exactly what causes it, but I'd like to try other things on their menu for sure in the future. read more

Came in after a day at the Safari Park. Not too far from the Safari Park and we arrived hungry! We actually decided on this place because of Yelp. The service was great and the waitress was very nice and attentive. The place seems clean and well maintained. The Pho I ordered was great and my kids enjoyed their plate of chicken. The only bad thing is that there is NO refill for any drinks except water. I don't live in the area but I ever do come back to the area, I will definitely stop by again to try another bowl of Pho. read more

Was craving pho and decided to come here. The lady who greeted us was super nice along with the other employees. With that being said, the pho was okay. It was a bit sour. I hadn't put any lime in it yet as I like to taste the broth before I put anything in. Overall, pho was okay and employees are superb.
