I ordered the p14 small and it was just loaded with mostly meat and the broth had no flavor to it. I don't think I would come back. The food was brought to one end of our table and we had to pass the orders around. The same happened with the drinks. No one came back to our table to see if we needed anything else. Their rice noodles are on the thinner / smaller size, perhaps that takes shorter time to cook, thus the lightning fast turnaround! Taste wise, I would say 7.5/10. It's close to )12 for a small size. Egg rolls were stuffed and fried close to perfection. Wish they were crunchier and have some more herbs inside to balance the taste. And the meat could use some more seasoning. For every densely populated Vietnamese community in America, there is almost always a main pho spot that is crazy popular on any day of the week. Pho Lien Hoa is that place for OKC. A no-nonsense, no frills, check-your-pretension-at-thedoor kind spot. It's not enough to be divey, but it's certainly enough to be delicious. Pho Lien Hoa is a standalone establishment and could not be more complete. The interior is huge and the energy is infectious especially on the weekends. Bathrooms aren't so glamorous but the staff has pushy 'tude given the right grumpy worker. I'm pleased to say that the food is awesome. Their pho broth was cloudy, but extremely tasty. The meat in the pho tai was damn good, I honestly wish they were more generous with their meat. I enjoyed the spring rolls (cha gio) and thought the bun thit nuong was also delicious. To top it off with a Vietnamese iced coffee and a honeycomb cake (banh bo nuong) is absolutely the right way to go. They're also a cash only joint. So bring lots of cash and try all the dishes they have. Pho might be their specialty, but there's definitely a lot going on at Lien Hoa that I'm hoping to check out again when I'm back in town again. read more

Today's thanksgiving day and I came with a family of 7. We were greeted and seated right away and they were friendly and kind. We ordered 5 bowls of pho in total and drinks. However, it went downhill when I started noticing that customers who came in after us, (3+ groups) got their orders first. For example, they came 20 minutes later and still got their bowls first. We waited 40 minutes for our orders and we became upset. We waved down the waiters and they told us that the ticket orders got mixed up and it would come right out. I believed they forgot our order and we still waited. The Hispanic guy had gave the customers behind us our orders by accident, and instead of giving the pho to us, He switched them out for them and we waited even longer. When we got our orders, they forgot to give us our waters. My family told me the pho broth tasted kinda bland and it wasn't quality food. Since we're from California, the pho was surpar compared to the ones we've had back at home. I don't blame them since there are less resources here and less competition. As someone who worked in the restaurant, I would've liked to feel reassured with our order and at least noticed our orders was taking a long time. read more

Visiting from out of town- if you follow me on Yelp you'll see I eat pho in every city I visit. This one had good reviews and is close to Bricktown (please visit that area as well if you can). The noise level gets borderline deafening when it's packed like that. I wasn't too hungry so I got a small pho which was perfect- still didn't finish it. My son lovedddd the lemongrass chicken n he's the pickiest eater ever. Drinks came in individual bottles/cans. Food came out very fast I was impressed. Soon as a table left the bus boys came out within seconds to clean up. Now that's what I like to see. CASH ONLY!! Tacky ATM next to register but I researched beforehand to avoid that. My total was $36 I gave the man $40 and he says thanks have a good day - just strong arming my change as a tip!!!! I was gonna leave it anyway but I don't need the workers dictating that for me so that was a turn off. Friend told me that pho and Vietnamese cuisine is legit in OKC, so we stopped here to grab our final meal before heading back home. We came on a late Sunday evening and we were seated promptly. The entire interior vibes felt very authentic so I had high expectations and I was not disappointed. We ordered spring rolls as appetizers, and I got a large beef pho with eye round steak, lean brisket and fatty brisket. What I love about pho places is that they all come out fairly quickly. Our food was served within 5 minutes. The portions were HUGE. They gave us plentiful noodles and plenty of meat, which I really liked. Cold? In the mood for some soup? Pho Lien Hoa is probably one of the most authentic phos I've had. I swear grandma is in the back making the most delicious broth with all the layers of home. Food comes out super quick! The minute we order, about 5 minutes later, boom, our pho is on the table. I always end up getting the P11 which is one of their most ordered item. For good reason of course! And along side your pho is a plate of fresh jalapeños, Thai basil and bean sprouts. All the condiments to go with it including hoisin, sriracha, soy sauce.. etc. I always get an order of the shrimp spring rolls too - which come with a side of spicy peanut sauce. So fresh and so tasty. The restaurant is a nice size - sometimes it does get super busy but it's definitely worth the wait (if you even wait). The reason for 4 stars vs 5 is that this place ONLY ACCEPTS CASH. So plan ahead or be prepared to use the atm inside. Poor service and dirty restaurant. No complimentary water, they charge you a $1.00 for 16 oz. bottle of water. Food was ok. When I went to pay (cash only...bill was $97) I took 6-$20 bills to the register. I asked for change for 1 of the 20s so I could leave a tip. He took all six bills and put them in the till. Then gave me my $3 change. I asked for the change for my $20 and he said I only gave him 5 20s. I argued my point but he wouldn't have it. Totally ripped me off. Pho Cuong was closed the day I went so I tried this place out for a change. Boy, was I disappointed. Before coming, I checked the reviews. Now, when I look at thien, I feel bad for anyone who thinks this is good Vietnamese food. Regardless of my rant, here's my review: If this place wasn't an already long-established restaurant then I would have thought this to be a drug bust waiting to happen. To my surprise, it was packed out of proportion. This may be important to note because of the flaws that I'm going to mention. Flaws: 1. Decently long wait time. Let's be real here, the place is serving noodles. They make the broth in batches and should have the noodles precooked with its meat. Yet, it took around 20 minutes of waiting. 2. The worst service I've ever had? They sat me down on the table they've been using to put all the stashed menus and chopsticks. As a business owner, you would think, to make your customer not feel uncomfortable, to move all the items. Yet, they kept them there so every 30 seconds or so, an employee got in my so called personal bubble. Along with that, they sit you down and never talk to you again. They seems to want you to come in and get out as soon as possible. Also, don't even mention refills. I always tip whenever I eat out, even with the worst services, but I did not tip here. 3. But let's mention the refills, well, the one where you can quite literally not have. This is the thing that aggregated me the most. They do not have any cups for a beverage. In fact, it's nearly 2 bucks for a water. FOR WATER. I'm sorry, but we are not in California. Oh, and if you wanted to pull a fast one and order coffee instead of water, then 80% of the cup is ice. Enjoyed your ice with a splash of coffee! 4. One person bathroom. Yeah, i usually wouldn't have a problem with that if there wasn't nearly a hundred people crammed in a 100 x 100 sq ft place. Oh, the place is also very humid. It's understandable because it's quite literally just a room full with hot broth, but at least try doing something about it. They have fans and I'm pretty sure they are never turned on because of how cheap they are. 5. Just plainly bad Vietnamese broth. The pho didn't have any smell nor any flavor from the usual pho spices. The bun Bo hue was lacking in serious beefy flavor. I was better off drinking beef bouillon soup. 6. These are the biggest cheapskates I have ever come across in a restaurant. Charging money for water or any drinks in general. Filling any beverage to the brim with ice. Not accepting card, and I think anyone who has owned a business knows why. I also wouldn't be surprised if they have a percentage on the atm near the register. Also, for two meals, in other words, two noodles, were $35. Yes, $35. The bowls weren't even gigantic either to justify the price. Good: Did you seriously think there was anything good about this place? You're pretty funny for thinking so. Overall: Just go to pho Cuong for actual service and Vietnamese food. They don't charge for drinks there at least. If they are closed, then don't get Vietnamese food for that day. Or, at least not here. read more

Took recommendations from others and we were not one but disappointed. The seating arrangement is basic tables and almost looks like a cafeteria with a large koi fish tank on display. We ordered spring rolls and two large bowls of pho with beef. They have several different choices of cuts of beef. If you want to know where the cut comes from, there's a handy dandy picture on the wall. The spring rolls seemed to be more traditional than the ones we had in Indiana. Nothing bad about them, just tasted different than I expected. Then came the gigantic bowl of pho. I should have ordered the small! I now have at least one more meal from it.
