Impressed with two sizes for pho, and you can't go wrong with a small (feels like a medium) Broth is what I judge the whole thing on, this one does taste authentic but different than other broths I've had. What an absolute treat...this was without question the best broth I have ever had and the best meal in the Jersey /New York/ PA region. We absolutely love love LOVE PHO LIFE! A wonderful family owned and operated restaurant that offers healthy delicious authentic food!! I'm OBSESSED with the salad and seriously my favorite of all time salad, I would drink the dressing out of the bowl if I could! The menu prices are certainly reasonable for the quality of food you are getting. The food is consistently good, which, sadly, is almost unheard of these days. It's hard to find a restaurant you can afford regularly that you can trust to always be good. This place has not let me down yet. My rating is four stars (minus one star) because the staff uses Fabulouso in a spray bottle to clean the dining room tables. ( Just felt a bout of nausea at the sheer thought of that cleaner... I hate it ao much-The smell of that cleaner is so obnoxious and gives me an immediate migraine. Not only did they mess up my order, i wanted egg noodles and my husband asked for the rice noodle. They gave my husband mine, which he didn't eat and they had nerve to charge me 5 extra dollars for the noodles!! (Every pho restaurant asks what noodles you want and no extra charge). The food was subpar at best. Being seated and receiving water was the only quick thing that happened besides paying of course. My mom and I ordered a bún bò Huế (Spicy beef noodle soup) and cơm tấm bò lúc lắc (shaking beef rice platter). The beef was semi tough and the flavor profile was definitely lacking and did not suit our palette. The bún bò Huế on the other has was somewhat decent. Mild in flavor and small hints of spice. It had an overwhelming amount of lemon grass that just made the soup not very enjoyable. Service here was ok. I did notice other tables getting more attention compared to others. My table, not being the exemption. We seen our server for a total of 3 times, 1. When we were being seated, 2. To bring out our food, 3. To give us the check. I had dinner here the other night, and was very impressed. I'm a pescatarian... that's a vegetarian who eats fish. I saw someone eating fried rice and asked the owner who seated us if she would make me one with shrimp. She was extremely accommodating by making me a shrimp fried rice. When I tell you the flavor knocked my socks off you should believe it. It was that good. Usually restaurants are extra helpful when a solo mom dines in, however She made it very clear from the beginning that she's annoyed with my kids, she came over several times to pick up the crumpled disposable place mats and paper straw cover, she was putting out a very passive aggressive vibe, but she was friendly towards other customers. She was refilling spoons in empty tables and she made sure to refill the spoons on my table while I was still eating but not other tables that had customers. So I finally took my last bite and rushed up to go and pay at the counter with a different employee and grab take out boxes rather than waving her down for a check and box. While I was paying at the register she reprimanded my kids which was really upsetting. Today we ordered take out and asked for extra culantro on the side. When we came in to pick up our food the waitress and the man at the register were very rude and telling us it doesn't come with our food we have to ask for it and usually they charge extra. I explained I knew that and that's why when I ordered I asked for it on the side. The owner always gives it to us on the side for free weather we dine in or out. I don't know why we were treated like this and it makes us not want to come here anymore. Whenever we tried to speak up and say we did ask for it as extra the waitress kept interrupting and talking to us in a snooty matter. When we walked away we could tell they were talking about us. This is my FAVORITE Pho spot in Atlantic County NJ specifically because they have SHORT RIB PHO AND IT IS BOMB ! They grill the short rib separately and it is beyond flavorful with just the precise amount of char and they then serve it alongside a piping hot bowl of pho ! Amazing little hole in the wall Pho spot here in May's Landing, NJ. I had the egg rolls and a Shredded Pork and Pork Skin Bahn Mi, with a fresh Limeade. The fresh Limeade was extremely sweet. If over the top sweet isn't your thing, I would ask for a little reprieve on the sweetener. The egg rolls were excellent. Extremely crispy, incredible flavor and fresh with plenty of pork and vegetables inside. The Bahn Mi Bi was overall very good. The bread offered just the right amount of crunch and was lightly toasted. The shredded pork had great flavor and almost crumbled upon eating. The Pork Skin was more of an afterthought since there wasn't much, but I was more than ok with that since it wasn't my favorite. One strange note about the dining room: the same song seemingly played over and over on loop the entire time we were there. We actually didn't notice a different song ever coming on. But hey, if lack of musical variety is the biggest concern, you are in store for a GREAT Vietnamese meal! read more

Came here on Sunday around lunch time for the first time. Me and my group of friends were craving for pho and decided to try this place out. When we arrived, the place was pretty empty, but after we sat, the place packed up pretty quickly. So I guess we got lucky and came at the right time! First off, I thought this place was pretty cool, because instead of having a bunch of preset pho bowls on the menu like every pho place does, they let you choose 3 kinds of proteins to add to your pho. I prefer this way, because it's more efficient; I can choose off the bat the kinds of proteins I like in my pho, instead of reading through 20 different presets and picking out one that I like. We ordered the fresh rice paper roll with grilled shrimp & rice noodles (Tom Nuong Cuon) for appetizers. It came with the usual peanut sauce to dip into and it was delicious. I ordered the smaller-sized pho bowl with fatty brisket, tendon, and flank. It came with the usual veggie platter to add into your pho. The flavor of the broth was very solid, flavorful and delicious. The noodles were cooked to perfection, wasn't overcooked at all. The portion was very generous, I was very satisfied and stuffed after finishing the bowl. My friend who ordered the spicy beef rice noodle soup (Bun Bo Hue) said it was really good too. I tried the broth for the bun bo hue and wow, it was packed with flavor. I highly recommend getting this if you want to try something else other than pho. Overall, my experience was excellent.
