a broken floor in a restaurant
Joanna J.

Floor and windows are so incredibly humid I almost tripped and broke my head. I don't understand how a restaurant can be so dangerous to be in. Why don't they do something about this? Pho Lucky is one of my favorite Vietnamese places. This is a sister restaurant of PL, I just don't understand how PL can allow something like this to be so gross and unwelcoming. Either sell it off or don't associate yourselves with this mess of a ghetto ass place.

Staff and customers are all wearing coats. Those with hoods have their hoods up. Server says the heat is On; um, not ...' The hot tea is warm; but insufficiently hot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!…read more This is my third time coming here, and the service has been consistently poor. The first two times, I ordered over the phone, then drove 20 minutes to pick up two mango smoothies, only to wait 43 minutes after arriving. There were barely any customers, so waiting over an hour total was completely unreasonable. Today was even worse. My boyfriend ordered summer rolls and spring rolls and clearly specified multiple times that we only wanted shrimp, since I have a severe pork allergy. He drove 30 minutes from work, only to be told the order still wasn't ready and had to wait another 18 minutes. When he got home, I checked the food (as I always do) and found pork in my "only shrimp" summer rolls. I called, and they told us to bring them back and they would remake them right away. We drove another 20 minutes back, only to wait an additional 18 minutes because, once again, the food was not ready. This place is overpriced, understaffed, and unreliable. More importantly, they do not take food allergies seriously, which is unacceptable.

It was a long day with meetings lasting 5 hours of my day, so I was ready to decompress with a bowl of pho. I can eat meat again on Monday, 12/28 so currently I am abiding the 49 days of not eating meat to honor and to help my uncle. I was the only one there, parking wasn't an issue, and food came out relatively quick. I ordered their vegetarian pho (pho chay). The mint and bean sprouts helped meld the flavors together, but I wish I can taste the charred ginger and star anise. I am from San Jose, CA so my standards are pretty high. The herbs were fresh and the broth was very hot which helped warm me up and comforted me as I am recovering from the flu and from the time difference.

Service was so genuine, friendly, and warm. You seat yourself, look at the menu from the QR code,…read moreand you go up to place your order and pay. Tip isn't being asked. When I asked her how I can leave a tip (because there was no option to), she explained that this is a self-serve place, so tip is not needed. The stores at the airport even asks for tip, so I was pleasantly surprised and appreciated the notion. I ordered their pho dac biet. I was asked if I wanted a lot of noodles or not. I was taken aback by the question, so I told her just the normal amount is fine. She then shares that their portion is not big which is what she asks all her customers when they order pho. The bowl was quite sad looking, lacked green onions, cilantro, meats, and no kidding on the noodles. The broth was clean but lacked that beefy richness. The herbs were fresh and they offered jalapeno slices and a line wedge unlike the place I went to on Sunday. But for the price, I could not expect more.

I recommend giving it a shot! We got the honeycomb cake but were so full from sandwiches we haven't tried it yet but I'm super excited to.

Absolutely delicious!…read more We got pho from here atleast 3 times while staying in the Farmington hills area, but every time was to-go, so I don't have any comments on the restaurant interior or service. The broth was served separate from everything else. It comes with cilantro, onions, hoisin (?) sauce, noodles, meat, basil leaves, jalapeño, bean sprouts, lime, spoon and knife, chopsticks, and a napkin! The noodles were always cold and stuck together when we finally got to sit down and eat, but I attribute that to ordering to-go and having to drive back to the hotel. I will miss this pho place so much!!!! Absolutely delicious and filling!!!!

We've only been here twice and I was really impressed by the broth and amount of meat that comes in each bowl. I don't typically get pho...if I can find it, I love getting the quarter chicken leg that is broiled. This time, I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and ordered the Bun Cha. It reminded me of a deconstructed pho/vermicelli bowl. It's similar to soba, where you take some noodles and dip it in the sauce. The meat (meatballs and pork belly), while the picture shows is separate from the sauce, was in the bowl, which was fine and tasted great. The noodles were on the side and sticky, so instead of taking little servings of the noodles at a time, I decided to dump them into the bowl of sauce. The dish also comes with lettuce, basil leaves and cilantro. The meatballs were full of flavor and seemed made in house (different from the standard meatballs that typically go in the pho). Service was quick and friendly. The only thing I noticed could be a bit better is the cleanliness of the restaurant. There were quite a few spots (maybe from the broth) or some other liquids on the wall, that looks like it had been there for awhile. Other than that, the decor is cute.
