i ordered fried rice and orange chicken through Uber eats. I requested chopsticks upon arrival and the Mexican dude with glasses said, "it's only rice" What the hell does it matter what kind of food I ordered? the restaurant offers chopsticks and it's my preference to use chopsticks to eat with I don't understand the rude antagonizing discriminatory remark. he ended up giving me chopsticks, but will not be back

Really enjoyed this place. Had it for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The service was prompt and our server memorized our order. Loved the big wooden tables and benches, very accommodating for big groups (6ish people). Food: Had fried rice with orange chicken and the orange chicken was crispy and tasty. The fried rice had a good flavor for my picky self. Veggie pho with beef broth had plenty of noodles (fried tofu and plenty of al dente cooked veggies) and was piping hot and felt like the heat stayed throughout my meal (: Fried bananas were nicely paired with a lechera sauce. Great amount of sweetness and not too overwhelming!

I hadn't been to Pho May in a long time but I don't know the reason for my hiatus. Returning to Pho May reminded me of the delicious, authentic flavors and reasonable prices. I say reasonable bc they aren't cheap, but their flavor profiles support their pricing. We got an assortment of plates and each one of them were delicious. The staff was so attentive and managed to keep up with my toddler's demand of new utensil between chopsticks, forks, and spoons. They were so kind and patient. I like the wooden benches, I almost feel like I'm traveling to a hidden spot instead of being a few minutes from a main freeway. I would like to say I'll be adventurous and try more things on their menu but they've called my heart with their classic dishes and I know what I'll come for every single time. One little thing that made Pho May stand out from other pho places is that they provided a sides/condiments plate per person. No more fighting for limes or who gets half of the bean sprouts!

Decided to have Vietnamese food for lunch so checked into one of my favorite restaurants, Pho May, located in Hawaiian Gardens, California. Anita, our regular server greeted us with a lovely smile and sat down at our regular table. . She is always so kind and helpful and generous. As always, the restaurant is clean And they have background music playing. This time we tried their tofu, spring rolls. My wife and I loved them, the tofu is fried and wrapped in a spring roll and is stuffed with noodles, basil, diced cucumbers and lettuce. We chose the sweet-and-sour sauce rather than the peanut sauce. Oh what a treat! Recommend this restaurant and giving it five stars !!

I haven't been here in so long, and because the weathers been cold and rainy lately...it was the perfect time to do so. The Pho is good and affordable and all their options from their apps to their rice dishes are just as good. I will say tho, I was unlucky to get seated away from counter view and staff view right in front of the window entrances, so that lead to not being attended to or no one to grab attention for service. We were kind of just stuck waiting until they came around the corner or we went out looking for them. Recommend avoiding seating to the left of the entrance if no other parties are there to get the better service.

This is the #26 Chicken Pho. The chicken wasn't shredded like most pho places

DO NOT GET FOOD HERE!!! There was a long strand of hair in my bean sprouts and the server didn't seem to care. The service here is terrible because the waiters give off an unfriendly vibe. The restaurant is darkly lit. Please save your money and don't go here

We Ordered pickup. We ordered chicken pho, veggie pho, and chicken wings. The pho is definitely big enough for 2 meals. The pho broth was a little different from what I'm used to, but still solid. I'd definitely order it again. Wings were good too, though the sauce was a bit on the sweet side for my taste. It's great that this spot is open late. There were quite a few people dining in, and the staff was friendly. My food was ready right when I got there, which I appreciated. We Will definitely return.

We like this spot cos it's one of the few places that closes late! I ordered something else other than my usual #37 bbq pork and wonton soup or crispy salmon! I tried the lemon grass chicken and rice-- it was fresh and good too. Fried eggrolls are yummy too!

    A roach.

honestly rlly loved this place until there was a roach under the table. I felt disgusted. The excuse they gave was unexpected because "the trash is near" the trash was not near the restaurant. This is just disgusting. All we got was a 10% discount. We said we didn't wanna eat anymore and left. This isnt just a small roach this is huge.

Pho May is our go-to Pho spot. Always good and reasonably priced. We usually come for lunch and rarely have to wait for a table.

Long overdue review but.. a pho place that has bo ne and pho ap chao?? Sign me up! I have been here…read moretwice. Once last year, and just yesterday. My parents and friends were very satisfied with the food here! The inside of the restaurant is also so clean and aesthetic, and bathrooms were too which was nice. Service is fantastic and the pho makes for a very hearty and warm meal. My friends liked the pho house special and I love the bo ne and pho ribeye (tai). The wing and fries combo were also surprisingly delicious and crunchy with great flavor. My boyfriend really liked the chicken banh mi too. Both times I have come here have been for dinner. The first time was earlier in the evening and wasn't crowded at all. Last night my friends and I (a party of 5) arrived an hour before closing and it was surprisingly packed for a Thursday night, luckily there was a table left enough to seat all of us. I love that this place has such a huge Vietnamese menu and everything is good. I'll definitely be back!

Service: Quick and friendly. I ordered via Yelp and they had the order ready in short order. Ambiance: They have a nice eating area with plenty of seating, and the place is clean. A few more guests came in after us, but most of the tables remained open. We ordered the #7 Shrimp Spring Rolls ($8.95) to start. They were edible, but the texture was a little stale and chewy, almost like they had been made earlier in the day and refrigerated a bit too long. Compared to spring rolls we've had at other Vietnamese restaurants, these fell short. My wife ordered the #24 Beef Pho with Rare Steak ($13.95), while I had the #23 Beef Pho Combo (14.95). Both bowls were served with a fairly bland broth and noticeably less meat than we're used to seeing at a similar price point elsewhere. That said, the service was excellent. Our server stayed on top of everything and checked in several times to make sure we were happy with our meal. The restaurant was also very clean and organized. Overall, the experience was fine, but the food itself just didn't leave much of an impression. We left feeling like we probably don't need to scratch the Pho May itch again anytime soon.

I just found it overall a bit aggressive and over seasoned, with not a lot of layers or subtleties in taste, which is usually a sign to me that the cook is substituting salty strong flavors in the place of more depth of flavors. So it's kind of like catering to a lower common denominator and that approach may satisfy many, without anyone really being impressed by the result. But perhaps expecting subtle refined flavors is too high a bar for a chain type of Asian food place - maybe. While I did like the noodles and the sauce, the filet mignon entree portion was something more along the lines of what I'd find/expect at a Panda Express. Which isn't terrible, as I like Panda, but I just expected more with the high rating. The place is clean and modern and seemed newer, but the overall vibe was more impersonal, quick-serve, corporate. If someone wanted to meet and eat here, I'd be fine with it. But I also wouldn't go out of my way to eat here or necessarily suggest it if I were meeting a friend out for lunch.
